Zodiac looked at the Nidoking, tilting his head to side.

[Omega]

"Right," replied Sombra, "and why am I here?"

[wynnyelle]

"The answer to that may not come right away," said the nidoking. "It may not come for many years, or it could come today. We cannot say. But you have been brought here and here is where we can at least get started in the right direction." He was looking in the pool again. "Ah, sheep. You are here from two different places. One, from Erymire...one from where they call the Far Reaches."

"That's right," said Charna. "And do you know why I'm here?"

"No...I cannot tell," said the nidoking.

"I'm here to find information on the Secumbrah, the grey giants," said Charna. "I need to learn why their race is dying and what they can do to save themselves."

"Secumbrah," said the nidoking. "That name...brings a feeling of darkness to me. I cannot say I know just what they are, but..." he looked in the pools again. "Yes...they have a connection, possibly to the time and place that you," he looked at Sombra, "come from."

[Omega]

"And what might this connection be?" asked Sombra.

[Jaemon]

Zodiac blinked at the Nidoking's words. He felt left out, because he came from no where special. Just from the mountains. Big, fat, plain old mountains.

[wynnyelle]

Carni looked at Zodiac, he thought he knew how he felt. He was being a bit left out, too.

"I cannot say...but there is a connection," said the nidoking. "More...the Unowns must say..."

And in that span of time in which he said those last words, the ceiling came alive with a wheeling fractal of unowns. They circled about, and then, they collectively spoke.

"The dying race may only be saved by a darkness that must not be touched. You are all here for a reason."

"What darkness?" bleated Charna. "Anything, I'll do anything, but what is it?"

"It is that of which we must not speak."

[Omega]

"You sure are secretive," commented Sombra, "What is this 'darkness'?"

[wynnyelle]

"The darkness began many thousands of years ago. She who birthed the darkness is no longer in existence. But she left scars upon the land and residues of her evil. That which remains has corrupted many pokemon. All we know is that the Secumbrah must die out. There is no saving them."

"I don't believe you," said Charna. "I need to save my family."

[Omega]

"The Secumbrah are the entire reason I'm even traveling with Charna!" exclaimed Sombra, "What else is there for us to do?"

[Jaemon]

Zodiac walked on over to Carni. "We're loners." Zodiac whispered. "Go loner pokémon!" he cheered quietly.

[wynnyelle]

Carni smiled at Zodiac. It was the first time he had smiled since the attack on his flock. "Yeah...we are. We have to stick together."

"You can't tell me I came all the way just to learn there isn't a thing I can do," said Charna. Tears appeared in her eyes. She was shaking and her lights flickering wildly. "I made the Secumbrah a promise that I would learn how to save their race."

"Saving their race involves...bringing darkness to the surface and the light that must not be awakened ever again," said the Unown.

[Omega]

"Now, about me," said Sombra, "How do I get back to my dimension?"

[Jaemon]

"Yup." agreed Zodiac. He watched Charna's light flicker, and noticed the albino pokémon covering there eyes. "Carni, do you know what a Secumbrah is?"

[wynnyelle]

Carni looked at Zodiac again and blinked his lights in his kind's negative response. "No. I've never even heard of one."

"To return to your dimension will require finding a celebi willing to transport you there," said the unowns, "or the one who transported you here in the first place must do so."

[Jaemon]

"Oh... I wonder what they look like..." Zodiac day dreamed for a bit.

[Omega]

"Where might I find one?" asked Sombra.

[wynnyelle]

"For us to tell you more, you must commit yourself to our debt," said the Unowns. "We will demand a payment from you. From all of you, if we are to assist you further."

"What sort of payment?" said Charna. She felt her lamb kicking inside of her.

"For you, Charna, it will be the servitude of the lamb you carry inside you."

"No way!" said Charna.

"Then we have nothing else to offer you. Our discussion with you is at an end."

"Wait," said Charna, thinking things over a bit more clearly. "If I do this...would you help my family go free? And stop the evil rams from torturing them? That's why I'm here."

"Our powers do not extend to the Far Reaches, but we can help point you towards where you will need to go to help the Secumbrah."

[Omega]

"What about me?" asked Sombra, "What's my payment?"

[Jaemon]

Zodiac stopped day dreaming. "I wanna leave... I'm bored." he complained to himself.

[wynnyelle]

"You as well...your firstborn will be ours," said the unowns.

[Omega]

"Firstborn?" asked Sombra, "What do you mean?"

[wynnyelle]

"The first child you produce," said the unowns.

"What would it involve, my giving up my lamb? It'll die if it doesn't have my milk," said Charna.

"Once the lamb has been weaned, it will become committed to serving us," said the unowns. "It will be treated well and looked after, and when it comes of age there will be some choices for it. It will not be completely in servitude with no choices."

"But if it cannot leave, it will still be a slave." Charna realised she would never be able to live with herself if she committed to this.

[Omega]

"But, wait," asked Sombra, "What am i to do for you?"

[wynnyelle]

"You are to give up the first child you have...or if you die, your nearest living relative will become our servant," the unowns said to Sombra.

[Omega]

"What?!" replied Sombra, "That's insane! You can't take away my family!"

[wynnyelle]

"It is your choice, Sombra," said the unowns. "You may take some time to decide if you need it."

The nidoking looked sadly at the sunworlder pokemon. "The unowns always exact a high price for the knowledge they give out."

[Omega]

"One thing," replied Sombra, "What will become of my child?"

[wynnyelle]

"It will be well taken care of by those who will train it to be one of the servants to the unowns and the pools of seeing," said the unowns.

[Omega]

Sombra closed his eyes in grief, "Very well. Now tell me where I can find a celebi."

[Jaemon]

"Uh... What about me and Carni?" Zodiac asked the Unouns.
