"It's true," said Carni. "Arceus has no need to evolve. Arceus is just Arceus."

They were heading down further into the caves now, and the going became steeper and more perilous. Charna and Carni were slow but surefooted, they navigated the passageway well enough.

[Omega]

Sombra, suddenly, halted, "There's something up ahead," he said.

[Jaemon]

Zodiac followed the others, bracing himself. He wondered what was up ahead. Zodiac gazed at the stones with big eyes. He wanted to touch one, but didn't know what the outcome would be.

[wynnyelle]

Carni struggled to maneuver with his stumpy legs down a steep narrow passage. Seeing an easier way down, he took that way, but too late he realised that there was a hole there. With a bleat of terror Carni plunged down the hole.

[Omega]

Sombra saw Carni fall in the corner of his eye. He darted to the edge and yelled, "Carni!"

[wynnyelle]

"Oh, no," said Charna, who saw Carni's light suddenly disappear. She leaned down the edge of the hole and looked for the light. She didn't see it, but she could hear, very faintly, rushing water. "He fell into a river."

[Omega]

"Can he swim?" asked Sombra.

[wynnyelle]

"All sheep can swim," said Charna. "The problem is that we don't have any idea where he'll end up. We need to find a way down there and get him out."

[Omega]

"Well, we can't just leave him down there!" exclaimed Sombra before diving into the hole.

[wynnyelle]

"We have a choice," said Charna. "We can take teh leap ourselves and not know where it ends up, or we can continue along where we were going and hope we find a way down to that river or Carni finds a way back up to us."

[Omega]

It was too late, Sombra had delved into the hole. He landed in a river that cut through a cavern. He surfaced himself and continued the search for Carni.

[wynnyelle]

Praying to Hazagbris to spare her, Charna took the following plungs into the hole. Where one went, they all did. They were a flock of sorts and flocks stuck together. They had chosen this fate.

Charna landed far below in the water, with a splash. She surfaced and pulled in a loud breath. Her tail light was now underwater, just below the surface, and it cast ripples of light over the cavern walls. "Carni? Sombra?"

[Omega]

Sombra's head popped out of the water, "Charna, there's no sign of Carni."

[wynnyelle]

"That's because he's been carried further down the river, we just have to follow this and hope it doesn't fork," Charna called back to Sombra across the distance. She swam towards him, trying to get near him so they didn't get separated.

[Omega]

Sombra wasn't the best swimmer, but he was good enough to swim with the current. Eventually, the river narrowed. Beside it was an underground beach which opened up to a cavern. Eying the narrowed river and the underground beach, he turned to Charna, "Which way should we go?"

[wynnyelle]

Charna saw a light up on the beach--a blue light. She signalled to it, and Carni signalled back. "It's him! Carni!" called Charna, as she swam up onto the beach. There was real sand down here, it was strange. She'd never seen a cave with sand like this before. but the caverns in Hallowmoor were nothing like this. This was a lot bigger.

[Jaemon]

Zodiac could not swim, because he didn't have long enough legs and arms yet. He looked around at the top, then ran down deeper into cave, hoping to meet up with them later.

[Omega]

Sombra followed Charna, "You're OK! Now where do we go?"

[wynnyelle]

Charna waded ashore and stepped onto the beach. Her amber lights illuminated that they were in a very large space. "I'd ask where we are, but I know you haven't a clue," she said to Carni. "You okay?"

"Yeah," said Carni. "What about the others? Are they here too?"

"Sombra is," said Charna. "I don't know where Zodiac is." She looked at Sombra. "I don't know. I guess we head in from the beach and hope we find someone to talk to about the arceus after all this trouble."

[Omega]

"He's still in the cavern above us," replied Sombra, "Should we find a way up?"

[wynnyelle]

"That would be an option too...well I hope," said Charna. "I don't see any passages up, although this river has to be flowing down here from somewhere. We can try to trace back the way we came, or we can head up this beach to see where it leads to."

[Omega]

"You two need the Arceus more than I do," said Sombra, "I'll find Zodiac, you two find the Arceus." Sombra headed into the nearby cavern, looking for Zodiac.

[wynnyelle]

"We should NOT split up," said Charna.

"You cannot force him to stay with us," said Carni. "If he wishes to go look for Zodiac then that's his wish."

[Jaemon]

Zodiac wandered around in the upper cave. He could see only a few feet infront of him, but it wasn't much help.

[Omega]

Sombra entered a cavern on the underground beach. Sombra thought he would soon see Zodiac again. The cavern lead up. Eventually, it reached a peak and began to slope. Sombra followed the slope, hoping it would eventually lead up again. He reached another cavern. Light was nearly entirely absent. In the cavern were two strange creatures. Sombra couldn't quite make them out, but there were blue flames behind them.

[Jaemon]

Zodiac walked around in complete darkness. He hadn't a clue where he was. He kept walking, not daring to stop. He didn't want to be attacked by pokemon, again.

[Omega]

Sombra stood his ground, "Who are you?"

The two creatures ignored his question. One said to the other, "What do you think it is?"

[Jaemon]

Zodiac was lost. So, he turned around and walked back the way he came. In a couple of minutes or so, he came into sight of two odd pokemon, and Sombra. Zodiac was behind the creatures, and Sombra could see him clearly if Sombra looked in the direection of Zodiac.

[Omega]

It was too dark for Sombra to see Zodiac, but not for the creatures. The two whispered something to each other. One of them turned, facing Zodiac. They prepared to attack.

[Jaemon]

Confusion flashed across Zodiac's face, but it was there for a mere second. Zodiac went into an attack postition, and braced himself.
