Wandering Aimlessly

[Pax]

It had taken quite a while to get out of the valley. Its dense jungle and foliage was quite a hassle to maze their way across and out of. But Pax the Ponyta continued to wander onward, his head down in reminiscence. He and Ace, a Turtwig he'd met not long ago, strived to get out, and go anywhere but their previous place. And they weren't going to look back - it was just too embarassing.

Without thinking, Pax was headed in the homiest place he could find. And so far, his nose lured him via the cozy scent of warmth and breaching, molten rock. But he failed to consider its effects it would have on the grass Ace - and before he knew it, they were standing on the ledge of a massive mountain of lava. The Ponyta lifted his head, ears high and eyes wide. "Uh... Ace..." he looked back at the Turtwig. "M... maybe we should turn back, this isn't a good place for you... Or we could attempt to walk around the mountain?" he suggested, gazing up at the towering volcano and flying lava.

[Little John]

"Ok lets walk around, I can't go back." Ace looked at Pax and Pax knew why.

[Pax]

Pax nodded knowingly. "All right. Here we go," he walked into the heated caverns next to the volcano bravely, feeling actually comfortable in the heated rooms. The floor was a soft, fine gravel atop extremely hard rocks and boulders. The Ponyta only hoped that no predators would get in their way. He hoped that because of his fire type, the inhabitants would not notice their being there.

(think Mystery Dungeon, if you've ever played it)

ooc: You guys wouldn't mind if I jump in...now would you? I'll make a nice person now. ^-^ lol And I like your silver thing Acekid. I choose....a silver mace lol.

ic: "Well where'd ya come from then?" A little charmander had been sitting on a large volcanic rock. She would have been noticed, except for the fact that she blended in. She had grey skin that had black markings all over in the pattern somewhat like a jaguar's. Her eyes were dark grey and her scarley tail flame was the only bright thing about her. But it had been hiding behind her back. Chiller smiled at them. She was a nice charmander, despite what her bratty sisters said.

bic:"Why did you lead me here? We came from the valley, my name is Ace and this is Pax." Ace looked at Chiller and wondered what side this was on.

[Pax]

(I was wondering where that came from, haha)

Pax stared at the oddly colored Charmander through big eyes. "Yes. Hello," he told the Charmander, then addressed Ace in a whisper. "Well, those of fire have a certain weird... funky... bond thing. Like... water types? I don't know. My mother told me this, and I hope it hold true." Pax looked back at the Charmander. "What's your name?"

[fya]

ooc: oh lol i remember those movies...hehe

ic: "Oooh the valley," said Chiller. "No wonder a greeny is here." She frowned. "The farther you go, the hotter it gets ya know. I'd stay away if I were you Ace." She shrugged. "But its up to you. I'm Chiller."

[Little John]

ooc:they sorta ruined it with the second one. Got too far away from baseball and the new smalls wasn't shown enough

Bic:"Yeah I wasn't planning on coming here, but I gotta follow Pax after the problem with that......little....." Ace couldn't say his name in rage.

[Pax]

(There was a second one? Never heard of it..)

Pax finished for Ace. "We're not going back. And.. we have good reasons," he stated flatly. "But does it get too hot for a green later on? Or is there another way around?"

[fya]

ooc: Lol I only saw the second one once so I can't remember...;P

ic: "Yeah," said Chiller. "It's niiiiice for a flame though. You'll like it," she said to Pax. "But I dunno about him. His feet'll get hurt if anything. And there's lots lil embers. If he catches one....ah trouble lets say."

[Pax]

(bah figures XD)

The Ponyta thought for a moment. "What if.. he rode on my back? My flames won't hurt him," Pax looked at Ace. "Then I could walk in dangerous areas. If I may ask, Chiller..? Would you be willing to... to guide us to the other side?" he asked the Charmander with the most innocent expression he could muster.

[Little John]

Ooc:the first one was WAY better trust me

Bic:"thats peachy. Go forth and die, go back and die. Nice Choice there." Ace had a huge amount of sarcasm in his voice.

[fya]

"You won't die, Ace, your horse friend says he'll carry you," said Chiller. She smiled. "I can lead you, sure! I'll even come with you unless your going to the water...but your a flame so you'd never do that..right?" She smiled and added, "But be careful Ace. There might be some flyin' flames."

[Little John]

"I'll be carefull as long as there is a way to get back when I'm strong enough." Ace had his mind set on when he was strong enough and knew the truth he would go back.

[Pax]

To the water? Pax wondered. Oh well. "No, water would be the end of me. All aboard, Ace," the Ponyta lay on the ground so it was easier for the Turtwig to get up. "Show us they way, Chiller."

[fya]

Chiller grinned. "Ok." She began to lead them around rocks until they were back on the path. It was really just a place with smaller rocks opposed to the big ones.

[Pax]

Pax gawked at the weird rocks and their ambient feeling of warmth. He'd never been so close to a firey source before, and it felt wonderful. But for Ace, he kept his flame harmless.

[fya]

"Do you like it here?" asked Chiller, looking back at Pax and Ace. She loved it here. Her family lived on the outside of the volcano and came in a lot to relax and have fun. A lot of fire pokemon lived around and did the same. Some, like slugma and macargo, never went out.

[Pax]

"Actually.. yes, I do, very much," admitted Pax. A tiny smile crept onto his face, and his eyelids lowered in relaxation. He almost forgot about predators entirely, and had to remind himself that Ace was on his back and still in harm's way.

[fya]

"It's really nice here..and all fire types live in harmony. When you're in the volcano there's no hunting. So like a charizard and a rapidash could relax in peace together. And usually Pokemon like that become friends inside so then they don't hurt each other outside the volcano," said Chiller, still grinning. "It's really cool. Err hot I guess!"

[Pax]

(bad pun alert!)

"Woah..." the thought of peace between predator and prey was incredibly tempting. It was harmony. Maybe Pax was finally at home, living in the volcano. But... what would the predators eat? They'd have to go to areas nearby which meant... meant... the herd... The Ponyta blinked. He'd make decisions later, when Ace was safe.

[Little John]

'pax, you thinking about staying here?" Ace wondered if his only friend, other than Lala, was going to leave him here.

[Pax]

"Huh? Oh... no... I don't think so," said Pax, leaving it at that, and continued walking. He'd tell Ace later what he had concluded a few moments ago. The air around them gradually became hotter.

[Little John]

"Thats cool," Ace said. He could tell it wasn't all, but he was to tired to keep going. He fell asleep in the heat in a few minutes.

[Pax]

Pax resumed his walk across ashes and coals, even the occasional pool of lava. It felt nice - but backed by a thought, it seemed somewhat revolting. So the Ponyta carried on after Chiller.

[Little John]

Ace woke about an hour later. "You guys still going?" Dang it was hot down here.

[Penguin]

Mim teleported right infront of them. "Why did you leave?" He asked them. "I tried to fight but when you were gone I had no help." He said reffering to the Tropius he had battled.

[Little John]

"Mim!!" Ace said from the back of Pax. "You might want to come up here so I can explain."

[Penguin]

Mim walked towards the Turtwig. "So What happened?" He asked as he stood next to the Grass Pokemon and behind the Fire Pokemon.

[Little John]

Ooc: i'm on Pax's back.

Bic: Ace watched as Mim climbed up. "Well we were battling when I pulled out the case I had on Crest's death. He told me he had no idea what I was talking about. I left then and found Pax lying hurt on the ground. We took off to leave together. But that day i swore to myself I would come back with all my facts straight and if it came to it, ready to fight the Tropius. I don't know if Pax is staying with me thought. the charmander up there has her kind of hooked on this place." It was hard for Ace to relive the experience and his voice wavered a few times, but he finally got it done with. " Thats why we left."
