"Hi, Mim.." Pax was actually very glad Mim was back, even though the little trickster had tickled and scared him. It would be nice to have more company. After listening to Ace's story and vow to get things straight, however, his ears flattened. He did not want to face the herd again, but neither could he live so close..

"No, I'm fine," said the Ponyta. Walking in the heated path seemed to already help him heal faster. This place could serve as a nice refuge, but not a home, he concluded. He wondered how far they'd gone thus far from following Chiller.

"Kinda...," said Chiller. She looked back at them. "Are you ok? It's probably dark outside.." She'd been inside all day so it was probably night. "When we get out we'll be on the slopes. That's where everyone else is now probably..." No wonder she was the only one in here aside form the occasional slugma. Everyone else was probably playing games and stuff.
ooc: Once we get out of the volcano we'll be on this board a few posts and then they can go off wherever they want. Just wanted to make it clear.

Pax wondered where everyone else was, too, until she said they'd be on the slopes. He was excited to see other fires, as he'd only seen a few, his mother, Chiller, and... well, that was it.

Chiller made a face. "Spring celebration shit," she said. "Starts tonight I'd think...the spring full moon which I think tonight is." She frowned ."I'm kind of an outcast...nobody likes me...we can go by though if you want." She giggled and added, "Ace you might not like it that much though..your kind is usually my kind's dinner. But there's a feast already so they won't touch you. Yeah we should stop by."
They had reached the end of the caverns and moonlight shown in. "Here we are. Now we climb up to the top. THat's where everyone will be."
ooc: Feel free to pick up an npc while were here..they are having a celebration, but it will be mainly food and laughter since they arent -that- civilized ;P

Mim taped his chin. If we are to fight that monster again we should train. He said telepathically in Pax and Ace's minds. We kind of need iti/] He stated as he sat on the Fire Pokemon watching for the flames."Why climb when I can teleport?" Mim asked with a wierd expression.

(Ponyta's flames don't hurt friends and those they trust, but that's fine. Yay NPCs!)
Pax tried not to think about training to fight the herdfather, instead looking to the top of the hill at the partying fires. The moonlight felt cold compared to the cavern, and the foal shivered at it as well as his own nervousness. They walked up to the top.

ooc: A general rule: teleporting Pokemon can't teleport to a place they've never been to. If someone Mim knew was up there, he probably could, but he doesn't. So he wouldn't be able to teleport.
ic: "Almost there," chirped Chiller. She tried to be happy. Really, though, she was afraid the other chars would get mad at he. Why? She didn't know. But they always found reaons to get mad at her.

The laughs and cheers were louder than ever, as they were just a few feet from seeing the celebration. The air grew warmer, too. Inhaling, Pax followed Chiller up, until they reached the top.

"Mama!" called Chiller, waving at a charizard. Her mother was the same ashy grey with black markings. The charizard looked up, she'd been eating some tauros meat. She nodded to Chiller and said, "Brought friends, I see. Have fun girlie."
Chiller, pleased her mother wasn't mad, grinned at them. "You guys should probably stay away from the kill..it makes you feel sick I bet. But from the looks of it they were hunting on the savannahs. No grass Pokemon in sight." That was good, she didn't terribley like how grass Pokemon tasted.

Pax shut his nostrils and instead breathed through his mouth, so he wouldn't smell the meat. He looked around for any Ponyta or Rapidash. There were actually quite a few - but none were his mother. He still wondered what happened to her that day, but shook it out of his head and smiled at Chiller. "This is... cool, so to speak," he beamed.

ooc: Wow like ponytah/rapidash, torcoal, and numel/campterupt are the only none meat eating fire pokemon!
ic: "Glad you like it," said Chiller, winding around the crowd of fire Pokemon that dwelled inside and outside the volcano. She was looking for one of her semi friends, a numel named Candy. "There he is. Candy!"
A numel looked up. He and a bunch of other numel, campterupt, torcoal, ponytah, and rapidash were surrounding a giant bush full of berries. It was a massive bush that was known for having some of the best petaya berries around. "Hi Chiller. You got friends I see."
"Yup," said Chiller. "Pax, Ace, and Mim."

Pax bowed his head, thoroughly nervous at seeing other Ponyta so close. "Hi, Candy. It's.. nice to meet you," he managed, his voice coarse.
"Hey Shem," a black-coated Rapidash whispered to another. "That kid looks a lot like you!"
"Hm?" the brown Rapidash with a white snout streak swallowed his berries, then peered over the bush at the odd makeup of strangers. The foal... did look like him. "Heh," he grinned warily. "No way, Laken, you know my mate and foal were killed. It's not possible.' The Rapidash huffed and continued to eat, however worriedly.

Pax averted his gaze to where Candy had just looked, at a few Rapidash talking and eating, but he just shook his head and sniffed the bush for berries. "Ace, we might not be able to eat later on, so I suggest we fill up here," he said.
Shem raised a brow, disgruntled. What if this kid was his? He'd never actually seen his foal, or the remains next to his mate. "Ah, I dunno. Maybe, maybe not. It's too unlikely," he denied, scrunching his face.

"Umm can I leave you guys for a mo? I'm getting hungry..." Chiller gave them a toothy grin. "I'll be back, don't worry!" Before they could answer, she skipped off away to get some meat. Laughter and chatter was everywhere. The volcano occasionally grunted. Everyone assumed that it would explode sometime soon.
A ponytah filly had seen Pax come in. She had soft blue eyes and looked much like a buckskin with her tan fur and black flames. "Hi," she said, approaching Pax. "I'm Nura. Who are you?" He looked interesting, especially with Ace on top of him.

Ace and Mim jumped off of Pax. "Hi I'm Ace this is Mim. Were gonna go eat." And with that the two smaller pokemon scrambled over to the bush.

Pax nearly coughed on a berry when the filly spoke to him. He looked up at her, stunned. "Uh... h... hello... Nura," he said slowly. "I'm... Pax... and that was Ace on my back... and the floating pink thing is Mim. It's... nice to meet you.." the foal mustered.

Nura smiled. "Our herd lives in the meadow. We come up on the slopes a lot too though. We share the meadow with a flock of sheep...but we spend a lot of time here at the volcano as well. The charizards though..they -live- here," she explained.
