"No you can't," said Chiller. "You realy can't. You have vine whips and an absol has big teeth." The charmander wasn't -that- dumb. She still didn't understand a prey Pokemon's interest in an absol. For crying out loud, absols hunted ponytah like Pax!

"Yes but battles don't always work like that," said Chiller as they walked. She sighed. Ther was no way to convince Ace that they had no chance against a full grown absol. A pup, they could deal with. But an adult...and absols were dogs. They tended to travel in packs. So that was about 10 dogs. A lot to deal with.
