Elly shook her head. THe prisoners were so stupid to try and escape. She also feared she may soon be joining them as a prisoner herself because of the others attacking this general.

Carni got to his feet, fully evolved. His lights were now red, matching his eyes. He felt electricity humming inside him that he had never felt before. He had power unlike anything he had ever had. He was in reality a normal young amp ram, a yearling, but to himself he felt like a god right now.
"Huzza be proud furr yuh," said the Dennukai. "Now we's got ter go ger' outta here!"

All of the remaining prisoners drew their attention to Sombra. He began to speak, "Soon enough, you will all be free!"
There were eleven prisoners that Sombra had just released. One of them being a torchic. It happened to see Sombra kill the squirtle. It spoke in a weak voice, "You're a monster, just like the rest of the horde! I saw what you did to my friend!"
Sombra lowered his head, "The squirtle's death was necessary to release the rest of you." Sombra looked over the rest of the prisoners. Beside the torchic were two nidoran, a nidorina, a piplup, a prinplup, a shinx, a luxio, a buneary, and two aron.
Sombra turned to the evolved Carni, "Do you have a plan to get these prisoners out of here?"

"It's hopeless," Elly said. "How far do you expect to get before you're discovered, stopped, and imprisoned again? I'm not assisting you in this. That way, at least I won't be guilty of an attempted escape and I may not be imprisoned."
ooc: If it's avoidable, I really don't want Elly imprisoned.

He knew he could not tell her that they were not what she thought they were. ''Then go...but remember that we let you go when we could have killed you. Remember this favour...and if they ask you where we are, do not tell them.''

ooc: Thanks.
"Ok," Elly said. "I'll keep my mouth shut and I'll run until I can't move," she said, running out the tunnel and away from the fortress as fast as possible, using the shadows of the night as a cloak.

Abby heard more sounds coming from the dungeons that she had just left. 'Releasing prisoners? This will not turn out well. Once we had established reinforcements then we can get the situation under control and recapture the prisoners. Not to mention, those fools who are helping them escape.' The absol continuing to follow Slashthroat throughout the fortresses' many paths. "When we find reinforcements should we immediately go back and regain control of the dungeons or are we going to plan this out in detail since we are currently unaware of more resistance members?" Abby felt slightly stpuid for asking questions, but she needed an idea of what they were planning on doing next.

Elly kept running until she felt her legs give out. She was certain she was far enough at this point that she'd be safe, but from here on, she'd be branded as a traitor and a deserter. She'd have to avoid any Horde members at all costs.

Sombra asked Carni once again, "Do you have any ideas?"

We can't get too bent out of shape over every little prison break and the Shadow Lord is already crushing the main resistance,'' said the general.

Sombra asked Carni once again, "Do you have any ideas?" Carni thought desperately. Before he spoke, Huzza beat him to it. ''Gerr'outta here.''

"Right," replied Sombra, "We could go the way we came in, but it might be risky. Huzza, any ideas for direction?"
The released prisoners were all discussing amongst themselves. They were all hungry. However, their newfound hope drove them to continue onward.

''We cant go back out the way we came,'' said Carni. ''We can head down this way and see if there is any other exit.''

'We will treat this as an isolated breakout. We can't get too bent out of shape over every little prison break and the Shadow Lord is already crushing the main resistance,'' said the general. "Okay." Abby nodded her head to show she understood. 'If the Shdow Lord is winning right now then does that mean that the resistance will get more desperate?'

"Of course. Those who know they are losing will always get desperate. But the resistance is broken--and we are in the process of chasing the last of those weaklings down," said the General.

"Right," replied Sombra before turning to the prisoners, "Listen up! We're going to get you out of here, but you must follow and trust us!"
The prisoners did as they were told and followed the rest.

"i'm surprised more of them didn't join us," said Carni as he helped Sombra lead them down the stairwell. Behind them came Huzza, squeezing his way into the chamber.
"Ever' thing be hella small in'near," said the buttercup Dennukai ram.
One of the prisoners, a buneary, turned and whispered to one of the other prisoners, "Do you think he really knows where we're going?"

The prinplup answered him, "I have no idea."
One of the aron chimed in, "Look at him. I doubt he even knows where he lives."
The other aron replied, "Arron, be nice! He's our only chance out of here. The least you could do is show him some respect."
Sombra heard the prisoners' conversation, but ignored it.

Huzza, however, overheard them since he was walking, or shuffling, along right behind them, and his body blocked most sound from getting past. "Yuhs better be feelin' mighty grateful tuh th' dark foxie fer 'is lettin yuhs oot in th' firss place."

"You can call me Sombra," reminded Sombra to Huzza.
The male nidoran moved next to the nidorina, "Are we going to be alright?"
The nidorina looked back at him, "I cetainly hope so."
The female nidoran sighed, "We're going to die, aren't we?"
"I didn't say that," replied the nidorina, "We're in good hands."

Carni heard the mumbling of the prisoners as he descended down the staircase. He knew they had precious little time to get away. "Let's hope we come to a place where the path forks soon or they'll be coming straight in here after us."
He didn't have long to worry, for soon the stairs ended and the hallway stretched on ahead of them, and several halls led off the main one. Carni quickly picked one near the end of the hall. "Down here."

The prisoners all continued down the hall with no hesitation.
Suddenly, the shinx collapsed from hunger.
"Spark!" yelled the luxio.
The shinx was breathing, but wasn't moving. Upon closer inspection, he was emaciated from lack of food. The young pokemon lacked the nutrients he so desperately needed.
The buneary rolled his eyes, "Just leave him here. He'll only slow us down."
"He's my brother and he's not getting left behind!" replied the luxio.
"Everyone, calm down!" yelled Sombra.

"Huzza ken carry yuh." To the twelve-and-a-half foot tall Dennukai, the shinx was no weight at all. He scooped the fragile Shinx up in his surfboard of a yellow flipper. Grunting with the effort of bending down in the tight space, he stood back up, holding the poor thing carefully. "Poor thing's ribs be stickin' oot laike sticks. We's gota tuh gettim some foods."
"They eat meat," said Carni as they picked up moving again. He was thinking. "Too bad we can't go back and get that ninetale's body..."

The luxio held his head heavy, fearing what may happen to his underfed sibling.
The group continued down the hall and up a staircase. Empty cells dotted the hall. The cells on the left had windows with bars, revealing the world outside the dark, depressing fortress.
"Daylight!" exclaimed the torchic.
"If we're no longer underground, we must be nearing an exit," stated Sombra.

ooc: They are still going down and have been since they left the prisons...how can there be daylight?
ic:
"We've been going downhill constantly, it can't be daylight," said Carni. He looked over at the light and saw it was flickering. "That's a fire."

OOC: I planned on them being paintings behind bars to torment the prisoners.
The torchic had an embarrassed look on his face.
Sombra looked at the fire, "You idiot."
"I'm sorry," replied the torchic, "It's just been so long since I've seen daylight."

lol how can paintings glow like that, though?
ic: "It's going to be a long time till we see it again, looks like," said the second buneary. He kept his voice low, but he was still complaining. He couldn't help it. They had placed their trust in these pokemon and now what? They were wandering even deeper into the dungeons!
"Let's see what the fire's from," said Carni. He peeked through the cracks in the wall that allowed him to see in there. There were more rows of dungeons and more prisoners. One of them was a charizard.

OOC: Bright colors.
The rows of cells reached the end as they came upon another staircase. The very last cell had an eevee in it.
Sombra, being the same species, felt the utmost sympathy for it. He opened the latch and let the eevee out.
The eevee got to its feet and walked out. It spoke in a weak voice, "Thank you." Her voice cracked. It was obvious that she was parched.
"Come with us," said Sombra, "We'll get you to safety."

"Me, too!" cried another prisoner, a raticate. "Let me out too! If that eevvee gets to leave then it's only fair!"
Carni opened the latch, though he had a harder time doing it with the end of his flipper. The raticate hopped out. It had clearly not been down here very long.
"Okay, now let's go before we get too many more like this. The more we have the more of a trail we'll leave and the more we'll be slowed down," said the black amp.

"Let's try to avoid any more cells," said Sombra.
The group continued. Eventually, they reached a turn. As they turned, they saw two golbat and one crobat hanging from the ceiling.
"The prisoners are escaping!" exclaimed the crobat before being blasted in the face by a shadow ball. It was injured, but it was still able to battle.
The two golbat swooped into the air, preparing for battle.
