A beautiful day

The young buizel aptly named Speedy, for his somewhat faster then normal aquatic maneuvers sat atop a nice grey rock, sunning himself as the waterfall several yards behind him kept a constant light spray of water on him so he was not to overheat. Speedy loved this area, it was perfect for what he liked. Plenty of clams and shell living creatures for him to thrive on and who knows, maybe there was berry trees in the forest that circled this strange and almost mystical place.
After several minutes of this Speedy dove under the water to refresh himself and he began performing what could only be described as barrel rolls through the water. He seemed at home here but yet his heart still seemed to be yearning for something.. Something a waterfall and a pool could never give him.. A family.

A furret was hunting nearby for whatever prey was available. She tracked the strange trail she'd been following for some time now to the bank of the pool where the waterfall tumbled into it. She spotted the buizel on a rock, and paused, debating whether to attack.

[Thomas]

Speedy, unaware of the possible threat continued swimming around in circles, slowly gaining speed each time around. He would occasionally pop his nose up to suck in some air then continue on submerged.

The furret's hunting eyes followed the path of bubbles and the occasional surfacing of the buizel's nose. She was no match for it in the water, but if he came ashore...

[Thomas]

After several seconds of this intense swimming the Buizel surfaced and re-assumed it's position atop the rock in the far back of the pond. He had yet to even notice the Furret, he was now busy grooming himself. The sun glistened off of the Buizel's body, as the oily skin texture prevented it from staying on the pokemon for too long.

[Thomas]

As Buizel sat grooming itself it saw something, an opportunity it couldn't pass up. It noticed a small Shellder at the bottom of the lake, just lying there for the taking. Buizel waited no longer and immediately dived under after it. Within a matter of seconds it had reached the Shellder and bgan picking it up. It searched for some rocks to crack the shell with but could not find any large enough. Suddenly it remembered it could probably use it's sunning rock. The Buizel rushed back up to the surface with it's prize in it's hands. It reached the rock and with one powerful swing, cracked the Shellders tough exterior and began draining the shell of it's insides. After finishing it up the Buizel tossed the shell back down into the water and crawled back atop it's rock to lounge around for a little while. Give the food a chance to settle down.

The furret's tail twitched from side to side as she debated whether to pounce. If she did so, that buizel would be hard to take down.

[Thomas]

The Buizel began to survey it's surrounding area when it noticed the Furret eyeing him. Buizel remained calm, mainly because it was still young and had no clue that a Furret would want to do it any harm.
"Are you perhaps lost?"
The Buizel tilted it's head at this question as if asking itself the same question.

[wynnyelle]

The furret's ears seemed to nearly flop to either side of her head. How could she attack him now when he'd shown her concern? " Oh...no, I'm not lost, just looking around for food, or something." She sat up on the rock and started grooming her tail.

[Thomas]

"Food? Plenty of fish in here.. If you wanted I could try and get you one.. Not sure what your choices are.. I've seen a few Remoraids circling the pool."
The Buizel sat calmly eyeing the Furret, happy to see another pokemon to talk to.

((NEed to eat.. I'll be back in like 30 minutes max.. okies? ))

[wynnyelle]

ooc: Okay! I'll be around till pretty late.

ic: The furret sighed. She was still a rather inexperienced hunter herself although she could catch enough to get by on. " Oh...you'd do that for me? Thanks...I don't know what to say. My name's Ralla by the way." She was a small and rather darkly coloured furret although her face was a pale beige.

[Thomas]

"My names Speedy! Nice to meet you Ralla. So any preference as to what you'd like or just catch of the day?"
The Buizel began combing the water quickly to see what creatures were around.

((I'm back.. Obviously. ))

" I'm not a picky eater," said Ralla, feeling a little shy. He was so nice...no one had ever been this nice to her before. " And while you're at it, would you like if I...caught you something on the land?"

[Thomas]

"You would do that for me? Well thank you! I'd be very happy if you could find me a meal on the land.. Anything will do."
And with that Buizel launched head first into the crystal clear water and dove to the very bottom. He found what he was searching for, a lone remoraid. Buizel positioned himself above it and unleashed a sonic boom which ripped through the water and immediately overwhelmed the tiny Remoraid. It tried to swim away but Buizel was not so quick to let it go. Instead Buizel followed the Sonic Boom up with a Quick Attack, which was even faster then normal since he was in his habitat,water. The attacked slammed the tiny Remoraid into the ground and Buizel grabbed it and began to surface with it's reward.

((That's ok right? Or would that be godmodding?))

ooc: No, that's not godmoding, that's fine. Pokemon that hunt are allowed to use NPCs to catch food!

ic: Ralla heard the sonic boom from above the water. She felt it in the ground through her paws. ~Just as well I didn't try to attack a pokemon who can do THAT!~

She headed into the bushes where there were sure to be small prey lurking about. She spotted an igglybuff, not something that she saw every day. Ralla made a pounce in the form of a Quick Attack at the small but plump pokemon. She ripped into it with teeth and claws and soon killed it. ~Must be my lucky day...~

[Thomas]

Buizel resurfaced seconds later with the Remoraid in his hands, clenching it victoriously. Though the creature had not put up a fight, it made Speedy feel good inside to finally be able to unleash some energy on something. He crawled up onto the shore and waited for the Furret to return from wherever it had gone.

[wynnyelle]

Ralla returned to the shore where she had first spoken to Speedy. She set the igglybuff down and faced him. " Well...I guess we're trading lunches." She giggled, then quickly sobered up.

[Thomas]

Speedy let out a smile and half laugh. Though he tried not to show it, he was a bit tired after the, all be it fun, but unnecesary display of power underwater.
"Though I think I may have lucked out on this deal..I have never had Igglybuff before..Thank you very much."
Speedy handed Ralla the Remoraid and sat down to begin eating his fresh meal.

[wynnyelle]

Ralla took the remoraid gratefully. " You're welcome, and thank you. Not every day I get fish. Though...I may never catch another igglybuff again, they're pretty rare."

The remoraid was delicious, she thought as she started eating. A bit greasy, but fish tended to be.

[Thomas]

Speedy started to eat some of the Igglybuff when he decided on another idea. He ripped the little pokemon in two and set half in front of her.
"Since you don't get it too often, I figure you deserve some as well. Plus I'm sort of full from that Shellder I ate earlier."
The Buizel smilled happily before taking another bite from the Igglybuff.
"So what brings you out here all alone?"

[Ziskara]

Hazel led Kiki through the underbrush, keeping an eye out for predators. She had already seen the Furret and Buizel by the water, but had dismissed them as harmless. They were both bigger than her, but weren't really the kind to hunt Eevee's. And, she saw, they had food. Deciding just to keep being cautious, She crept closer to them, keeping hidden.

Kiki followed her sister, wanting just to go swim. She couldn't see any danger, why couldn't she go swim? She sighed, and kept padding along behind Hazel.

[wynnyelle]

Ralla heard something small approaching them but it did not make her all that concerned. She bolted down another piece of fish, then said, " Leaving my family...it wasn't a good situation. I'm glad to be away from it. How about you?"

[Thomas]

Speedy's ears twitched at the sound of the grass moving nearby. It was feint and Speedy wasn't really sure if he heard it or his mind was simply playing tricks on him. He looked at Ralla to gauge her responce since he figured she was much better at hearing then he was.

[Thomas]

"Kinda the opposite.. My family accidently left me.. Or so I tell myself. The truth really remains to be seen. I just hope maybe one day I'll meet up with them again, if only to clear up the whole situation."
Speedy paused realizing he was saying too much and decided to shift the conversation.
"You left your family willingly? Was it bad? Or it's probably not my place to ask such questions.."
The Buizel turned it's head to the left and paused for a second before returning to eating the Igglybuff.

Hazel crouched, watching the other pokemon. After a minute or so she decided they were probably harmless and cautiously walked toward them, Kiki trailing close behind. She stopped a couple of metres away, and said; "Do you mind if we rest here?".

[Thomas]

Speedy looked at Ralla and then at the two strangers and smiled happily.
"I don't mind. You are free to rest here if you wish..Hey take a dip in the lake as well.. Very refreshing. Just watch out for the Krabby.. They can be vicious.."

[Ziskara]

ooc: Bye bye! I probably wont be on for much longer.. I will be on tomorrow though so i'll talk to you then.

" It was bad beforeI left and after. I left before I had even evolved, so I was a sentret on my own." Ralla's tail twitched. She ripped off another piece of fish. " But worse before. My mother betrayed our family...she left our father because she found a mate she thought more worthy. And when that bastard killed my father, she backed him up."

Ralla looked at the two eevees. " You may stay," she said, but she hunched a little more possessively over her remoraid.

[Ziskara]

Hazel nodded. Kiki ran down to the water and jumped in, vigourously splashing. With a glance toward Kiki, Hazel replied "Thankyou. And thanks for the warning t-" When Kiki interjected with a loud "OWOWOW!!!", Flicking her tail about, trying to dislodge the Krabby. Hazel sighed, then walked down towards her. "If you had actually listened to the warning the Buizel had given, you would be fine!" She said exasperated, before pulling the Krabby off with her teeth. Kiki Hung her head, then splashed Hazel, grinning wickedly. Hazel launched herself into the water, splashing Kiki quite thouroughly. A large water fight ensued.
