"Well...I don't know...I haven't really hunted..." Luke replied. It was true, he would steal from others and feed himself when needed.

Moon called, "Duran, What is going on?  " Her motherly instint was telling her that an enemy was near by and she had to portect her kits. She struggled to stand and fell crunching her leg onderneath her and she let out a yelp of pain. |

Luke heard the yelp and for some reason, he ran towards the sound. To him, it felt like someone gave him a big push and said:'What the hell are you waiting for?! get going!!!' He then came into the small clearing and stopped, looking at the new mother.

Moon growled at the new comer, but then winced when a wave of pain shot threw her leg. "Who are you?" She growled weakly, "What are you doing her."
Ember and Ash snuggled close to there mother.

"He's a newcomer who says he came here on a good omen," said Duran. Duran then looked at Luke, "I did NOT say you could get that close to my den and my mate and pups."

Moon relaxed and said, "I scence he is safe, Duran." Moon looked over the new commer, he would make a wonderful pack mate. Her leg pulsed and she gritted her teath as so not to cry out.

"You said you wanted someone to help us out, with hunting and so forth, so I said he can stay," said Duran. He then looked at Luke, "Well we're not going to hunt for you. You have to help with the hunting if you're going to stay," Duran would not allow freeloaders.

"I dont think that there is much else I can do but bless you and your kits...I cannot be of any assistance to you and your mate..." Luke replied. He really did feel useless, not being able to hunt or anything, he couldn't even save his friend. Then Luke sat down and sang in the same voice he did before:

Luke said before turning away. "Oh...and if you ever need my help...look for the Abra named Onin...he knows where everyone is...and don't be afraid if his 'translater' comes along for the ride..." and with those last words said, he left the Thicket...for now however...

Duran watched him go. "Wait--if you can't hunt, how are you going to feed yourself?" He had been moved by the song, and didn't want to see Luke starve.

A red poochyena pup thats red and has two tails named "poof" because he always blows out little puffs of smoke cuddle up to his mom whe n she feel asleep

Duran sat just outside and waited to see if Luke returned. Maybe if he did return, Duran could help show him how to hunt.
The last kit, a brownish grey male poochyena/vulpix with three tails, named Caspian, sat up on shaky legs. He had just finished suckling, and was looking around with eyes that had only just opened a short time ago. The world was fuzzy.

Caspian's little legs collapsed under him when Ember landed on him. He rolled to the side, then tried to get back up, but there was Ember, right on him! He pawed at her in play.

Poof wanting to join in jumped on both of them and when he landed a little flame and smoke came out of his mouth. he yipped and tryed to bite the smoke

Caspian somehow still had his sister on top of him. He wriggled out from her and tried to climb up onto her crosswise.

Moon put Poof down and moved Ember and Caspian appart. "Duran! can you give my alittle help??" moon called to her mate.
