"Like I said, dun worry bout it," said Inigo. "anyway we can settle right near here. Let's head back to where the grass is taller and thicker. Make finding a sheltered spot easier. Also we'll be less likely to get trampled by somethin big."

[kratos]

Elly nodded and stooped down as far as she could with her large belly. "You have to keep from moving too much or it could bleed again. Climb up on my back."

[wynnyelle]

"Uh...no offense, but I'd crush ya, and I can walk on my own just fine," said Inigo. He was nearly six feet long and his tailtip was about as wide as the rest of his body. "Quite thoughtful of ya though, babe. It'll just be a stroll back into the tall grass."

[kratos]

"Ok then," Elly said. "I love you, honey," she said as she began walking toward the tall grass.

[wynnyelle]

Inigo felt all warm and fuzzy inside. "Love ya too babe." He soon found an area that looked promising. There was a small bare area mostly devoid of grass, surrounded by tall stems. "Hm, looks like we might do well digging a burrow here...whaddya think?"

[kratos]

"Sounds good," Elly said. "Let me just help break the ground up to make it easier for you." She charged up a powerful Shadow Ball and let it fly into the ground. It didn't clear much ground away, but it broke it up to let Inigo dig. "I could have done more, but my attacks are weaker with the babies in me."

[Pidgey]

Ace had lost himself in his thoughts, and suddenly realized that he was staring into space. He shook his crest feathers as if to clear his thoughts, then turned to the pair of pokemon. "I'll be moving on now." He told them. "It was a pleasure meeting you both." He added, as he took wing. With any luck, he'd meet them again someday.

"Great work babe! That'll be a great start." Inigo saw the bird fly off, "Catch ya later bub." He then set his paws and claws to digging.

[kratos]

Elly tried to help him, but her large belly kept getting in the way, so she decided to sits off to the side.

[wynnyelle]

"Nup, -you- gotta rest. Let me do the digging." Inigo kept on digging, and by late afternoon had carved out a sizeable run, though the burrow inside needed shaping out. A large pile of dirt had appeared outside the hole and Inigo was all the way inside the run except for the tip of his tail.

[kratos]

"Wow. That's fast work, honey."

[wynnyelle]

Inigo heard her talking and backed out of the hole. He shook himself off. "I dunno bout fast...sun's going down soon." He had worked up a sweat, and it felt goood to feel the wind on his fur out here. "Just came out for a breather, I wanna get this thing done by tomorrow. We wanna have the den nice and broken in so the kits got a homey home."

[kratos]

Elly nodded, then yawned. "I need to take a nap."

[wynnyelle]

Inigo yawned. "So do I. Guess this den won't be built in a day, eh?" He lay down near it, not bothering to curl up.

[kratos]

Elly walked over a laid down by Inigo, wrapping her paws around him. It wasn't long before she was out like a light.

[wynnyelle]

Next day Inigo was working on the burrow once again, diligently as ever. He made the opening a little larger, keeping in mind that Elly needed the extra room to get in and out. She wasn't a furret!

[kratos]

Elly continued sleeping for a few more hours while Inigo was working. She just couldn't manage to wake up.

[wynnyelle]

Inigo's wound was aching. He finally had to stop for a bit. He went over to Elly and lay by her for a little while, hoping she was okay. She had been sleeping an awful lot lately, although he knew that was normal for late in a pregnancy.

[kratos]

Elly finally woke up. "Are you feeling ok, honey? That wound still looks really bad."

[wynnyelle]

"Yeah..." Inigo turned round and had a look at it. It had scabbed over and now looked just plain nasty and gory, but it wasn't bleeding anymore. "Mebbe a lil tender, but it'll be okay. I've had worse. How're you feeling?"

[kratos]

"Like a Miltank," she said. "I've never felt so fat in my life."

[wynnyelle]

"Awww, yer not fat, baby, yer with kit," said Inigo. "Whooole lotta difference there." He placed his front paw on her swollen, firm belly. "I'm wondering if I can feel'em moving around in there."

[kratos]

"You probably can," she said. "They're getting really big." She smiled and put a paw on top of his, then she gasped and cringed. "One of them just headbutted hard against your hand. It really hurt."

[wynnyelle]

"Oh, I felt it," said Inigo. "It hurt? Really? I had no idea kits inside you could move so much they hurt. You okay?"

[kratos]

"Yeah," Elly said, stil cringing a bit. "That one is a very strong one. This isn't the first time that's happened, but it's the first time it's been this painful."

[wynnyelle]

"Well they'll be making their entrance into this world soon, so that'll be over with," said Inigo.

[kratos]

"Yeah," Elly said. "That'll be the most painful part physically." She puther paw on top of his again and looked him in the eye. "Honey, I need you to promise me that when that starts, you won't leave my side no matter what. I need you now and I'll really need you then."

[wynnyelle]

Inigo put his front paw around her shoulders. "Baby, when I say something, I mean it. The very thought of leaving ya and breaking yer heart rankles me. There's just no way it's ever gonna happen. Not in this life, beautiful. You have my word over my deathbed."

[kratos]

"I needed to hear that," she said, putting a paw on his shoulder. "Thank you, darling."

[wynnyelle]

"Like I said before, no need to thank me. I say these things and do these things 'cause I WANT to. This--here, with you--is where I want to be and it's the only place I wanna be," said Inigo.
