We Have a Plan {open!!}

Carni marched resolutely on towards the looming ruins half-buried in the foothills. He knew they were close. He could just smell it everywhere--they had entered Horde territory.

[Pidgey]

From her perch high up in the twisted branches of an old tree, Raven spied on the Fortress with inquisitive eyes. She had heard the stories, of pokemon who had ventured to close and never returned, but she was more curious than afraid.

She spotted movement below and craned her neck to peer down at the ground for a better look. There was a pokemon down there, moving deliberately toward the Fortress. Perhaps he was a member of this Horde? Maybe he could get her in? She decided to spy on him.

((What kind of pokemon is Carni?))

ooc: An all-black flaaffy.

ic: Carni stopped and looked around. He already had the distinct feeling that he was being watched. "Who's there?" he bleated.

[Omega]

"Just me," said Sombra, just catching up, "I suppose we just enter the fortress."

[Pidgey]

Raven did not respond to the ebony Flaaffy right away. Rather, she waited to see if anyone else would answer, but no answer came. Then, a call rang out, and a second pokemon came running to join the first. Raven sighed quietly, her cover wasn't blown yet.

As quietly as she could, Raven fluttered down to perch on a lower branch, to get a better look at the pokemon.

[Omega]

"We were just on our way inside to join the horde," replied Sombra.

[wynnyelle]

"I don't want to just enter," said Carni. "They might think we're trying to invade or something." his natural sheepy instincts were taking over.

Then he heard the bird. "Hello...are you of the Horde?" He thought maybe they used birds as spies and attackers from the skies, anything was possible.

[Omega]

"What's the worst that could happen?" asked Sombra, "We'll just say we wish to join the horde to anyone who confronts us."

[Pidgey]

"Mmm...possibly." Came Raven's reply. She fixed the two pokemon with her mischievous red eyes. She wasn't going to give up all her secrets, until she knew who she was dealing with.

[Omega]

"We're interested in joining the horde," replied Sombra, "are you a member?"

[wynnyelle]

"What do you mean possibly?" said Carni.

[Pidgey]

So, they were here for the same reason she was. Maybe she could stick with them after all. "I am not a member, but like you, I am looking to join." She croaked. Fluttering to the ground, Raven landed neatly among the two pokemon. "Looks like you have more company. My name's Raven."

[Omega]

"My name's Sombra," replied Sombra, "That's Carni. Now that we're done with introductions, I think we should enter."

[wynnyelle]

"Yes....time to quit stalling." Carni headed towards the fortress, full of dread.

ooc: who's going to play the horde members? it should be a cooperative effort.

[Omega]

OOC: Well, you know more about it than me. Would you be alright with playing a few? I'll add in some extras, but they won't do much.

"Right," replied Sombra as he headed for the large doors. "Would you mind helping me get these open?" asked Sombra while pushing against the large door with all his weight.

[Pidgey]

"Yessir!" Raven cawed in agreement. With a flap of her wings she rose into the air and flew ahead of the pair, scouting for Horde members. When she spotted a few other pokemon, she circled around back to the flaaffy and his friend. "Guys, I think we have more company." She called to them.

ooc: I'll play one too.

ic: Carni looked the way Raven was looking. A ninetales was coming up the way towards them.

"Trespassers!" she yipped, calling to her cohorts when she saw Carni, Sombra and the others.

[Omega]

"No!" cried Sombra, "You don't understand, we wish to join the horde!"

[Pidgey]

A nasty looking Fearow flew straight at Raven, forcing her to dive quickly to avoid becoming a snack. She landed between her friends for protection as the Fearow circled around and landed beside the Ninetales. "Come to join?" He croaked. He seemed to be waiting for the Ninetales to speak.

[Omega]

"Yes," replied Sombra.

[Jaemon]

Zodiac walked on out slowly.

[wynnyelle]

"I hope you know what you're in for," said the ninetales. She was grinning wickedly. She was only a rather low-ranking Horde warrior, but she had gained some rank and loved to abuse what little power she had.

"If you mean killing, I live to kill," said Carni. "I've forsaken the ways of my weak prey kind."

[Jaemon]

OOC: Can I play a horde?

Zodiac looked at the Ninetails, then at the Fearow.

[Pidgey]

Killing? Raven was a thief, but she had never killed anyone before. 'Heh, guess it comes with the territory.' She said to herself.

The Fearow clicked his dagger-like beak. "You think you got what it takes?" He challenged.

[Omega]

"I don't know," replied Sombra to the fearow, "Why don't we find out?"

[wynnyelle]

ooc: Yes, anyone can play an NPC in the horde.

ic: "I wouldn't have come this far if I didn't think I have what it takes," said Carni.

"Well," said the ninetales, "I guess it can't hurt to take you in and bring you to our general! He'll give you the orders. Currently we need some extra help breaking prisoners!"

[Pidgey]

Raven stayed silent as the other pokemon conversed. She waited to see whether or not these Horde members would actually take them in, or drive them off..or worse...

Fearow snickered a bit. "Oh yes, we will see." he stated haughtily. Apparently he did not think they had the right stuff. "Shall we?" He asked, motioning toward the Fortress.

[Jaemon]

A Houndoom walked in the background then looked in their driection. Running up, the Houndoom barked a threatening bark.

Zodiac jumped up and down. "Dog! Dog!" Zodiac pointed at the dog pokémon.

[Omega]

"Breaking prisoners?" asked Sombra.

[wynnyelle]

The ninetales spoke, "Yes--to the Fortress--now. They don't have a choice. They wandered onto our lands and so they must join or die." She looked at Sombra. "Yes...haven't you heard of breaking prisoners?" she asked sweetly.
