Deo, the Deoxys, appeared with Luna next to him. They were behind some large rock formations, out of sight from anyone near the entrance to the cavern. He let go of Luna, staring her in the eyes.
"You heard what the instructions the Shadowlord gave you. Follow them. And remember that you will face death if you reveal anything to the Light." Deo stated, moving away quietly from Luna. He looked very tired, since he was not used to teleporting more than himself. It took a lot of energy for him to teleport Luna. Deo took a deep breath, and vanished.

Luna let out a sigh. She walked to the caves, just looking around. She thought this was a pretty good idea, except for the fact that she was the scape goat. She really didn't know much about this place on top of that. She looked around and smiled to herself. "This won't be too bad," she told herself. She trusted the Shadowlord fully, and didn't want to fail him.

The mighty cavern looked very dull from first glance, yet on the inside just the very beginning, the hues of the stone changed from grays to earthly browns. Just venturing into the cavern made the place look like it had life embedded within it. Yet even though the majority of color was brown, there were what looked like red dots implanted into the wall.
An eerie echo could be faintly heard coming from within the cavern, an odd what sound that could have been classified as mechanical was audible to anyone a few yards into the cavern.

Luna's ears twitched. ~What's that?~ she wondered, walking deeper into the cave. She was frightened because she was fully capable of protecting herself. Her rings glowed slightly.

Coming out slightly from the deep darkness cave, if you looked at it, resembled someone Luna knew, just different coloring and a few other things that made him stand out. It was Arren, an unusually strong pokemon. He was looking around the outside, but with his eyes closed. He was using Aura, a more efficient way. His head shot in Luna's direction.
Who's there? Arren called out.

Arren glared at Luna, but then shifted to a light smile.
My name is Arren. I'm am the guardian of the Elemental Stone Caverns. Why are you here? Arren asked. He was curious of her purpose here.
Deo appeared with Zeelo, near the area he had dropped Luna off at. He dropped to his knees for a few seconds, tired more than ever. For a moment, his shadowy appearance disappeared, and he was the normal Deo again. But it was back to his shadow form seconds later. He got back up, and looked at Zeelo.
"Ugh...What should we...do first sir...?" Deo asked.

Luna smiled. "I've never been in here before. I was just curious. I love to explore new places and this place looks interesting," she told him, which was the truth...or part of it.

Deo nodded slightly, looking around one of the rocks to see the entrance of the cave.
"It sounds like they're just talking." Deo commented quietly. But who was that pokemon she was talking to? Why'd it sound so familiar...?
Arren smiled, and looked deeper into the cavern.
Would you like a tour of the caverns? Arren asked. He knew something was odd here.

Luna smiled excitedly, forgetting about her mission for an instant. "Really?You'd do that? Yes, please!" she told him, getting excited by the minute.

Arren just nodded, smiling. He could tell Luna really wanted to see the caverns. He walked forward a bit, motioning out into the darkness, candles lighting with the motion.
As you can see, there are paths in the caverns. Each path leads for a different elemental stone. I'll start from left to right. Fire, water, thunder, leaf, dawn, dusk, shiny, sun. He explained.

Arren smiled lightly, and teleported. He teleported back only seconds later with a stone in his hands. A Dawn Stone.
Here' take this. It's a Dawn Stone. It's a useful one, not just for evolution. It can temporarily un-shadow pokemon, from what I've heard. And it acts as a barrier from shadow energy, hence an effective tool. It's a gift, take it. Arren offered, holding out the Dawn Stone.
Oh, just a question. Do you know a deoxys, by the name of Deo? I swear I sensed him earlier, he's one of my old friends. Arren said, hoping she knew him.

Luna took the stone and put it in an imaginary bag I just now thought up. "Thank you," she told him, smiling. "It's pretty. I've never really gotten a gift before. This is nice. Thanks, again, it really means a lot," she told him. She suddenly felt cold. "I'm afraid I don't know a Deo. I'm sorry," she told him. ~Aw, I feel terrible.~ she thought.

It's no problem at all, Luna. Arren says.
His smiles stop cold, hearing that she didn't know Deo. He was really looking forward to seeing him again.
Oh...well...ah well... Arren sighed a bit.

So, is there anything else you wanna know, anything you need me to help you with? Arren asked.
Luna! What's going on in there? Deo called mentally from outside, blocking it from Arren. He didn't know what was taking so long, but he was getting worried they'd been found out.

I was wondering if you'd gotten caught or something. You've been in there for a while. But obviously, you're fine. So you can come out now. Deo says. Then he remembers something. Wait, get out of there as fast as you can! Arren, the guardian in there, he can sense shadow energy! Deo warns, just as Arren looks at Luna.
Why do I sense...no, I haven't sensed that in months. Shadow energy... Arren glares accusingly at Luna.
Who have you brought here?! Arren shouts, shooting an Aura Sphere at Luna.

Luna jumps over it and runs out. She ran to Deo. "Let's get the heck out of here!" she calls to him, getting closer. ~Forgive me...~ she thought to Arren. She let out a sigh.

Arren ran after Luna, seeing that she was trying to escape. He starting using Hyper Beam towards her, but once they were outside, his attacks ended instantly. And his eyes watered with tears seeing someone he hadn't seen in months, but tainted.
Deo got next to Luna, using Protect.
"I'll bring you back to the Horde, but I'm coming back for Zeelo." Deo said, teleporting the two away.
Arren was breaking down in tears seeing his friend, tainted, and with the Horde. It killed him inside to see Deo like that.
Deo...I'll untaint you..I'll make sure of that!

Zeelo stepped back his eyes fixed on Arren. Oh how he longed to fight, it had been so long... But would the Shadowlord allow him too? He kept his eyes fixed on Arren. He would not fight, his master would not approve. But he would show himself. This pokemon knew too much anyway, it knew that dark pokemon were interested with the elemental stones. Zeelo could not let him walk away after that... "My Lord, forgive me for acting without your command," he muttered, transferring this message into shadow energy that flew off towards Chancol. Zeelo stepped forward into the open, eyes still fixed on Aaren |

Deo, coming back after teleporting Luna to safety, saw Zeelo confronting Arren.
Zeelo, don't confront him! He's stronger than any opponent you may ever face. He's fought off a Groudon and Kyogre at the same time, and won! Zeelo, take my advice, and run. If anything, I'll fight him. Deo said. He shot a Psycho Boost in Arren's direction, and it exploded in front of him, giving Zeelo some time to run.
Arren had barely seen the odd shadow hybrid before a familiar attack came at him, blowing up right in front of him. He started coughing thanks to the dust and dirt all in the air.
Dangit! They made a smokescreen from dirt and dust! Arren started shooting Psychics out.

Zeelo grinned back at Deo. "Oh I dont intend to fight, yet," he said. He lept aside from the psychics and sat down, waiting for the dust to clear. |

Deo was stumped. If Zeelo wasn't going to fight, what was he going to do? At this point in time, he knew Arren would know Zeelo was a shadow pokemon, so he wouldn't do much talking unless...
Then Deo knew.
The dust cleared quickly, leaving Arren a confused look on his face. This hybrid was just standing there, not doing anything. Arren figured he might ask.
What are you doing here, shadow hybrid? Arren called out.

Zeelo closed his eyes and turned off his yellow orbs, disappearing into Shadow. Then he flickered his eyes open again, a bright red in the darkness. His eyes remained unblinking, fixed into Arrens in a stare that left him immobilized. Then, still not blinking, he used a confuse ray, strong enough to make him forget the past hour or so. He cut off the link by blinking and ran back to Deo. "He wont remember what happened with Luna and us, I made sure of it," said Zeelo when he got back next to he deoxys. |

As soon as Arren locked eyes with Zeelo and became immobilized, he knew something like Hypnosis or something else would try to mess with him. He put a mental shield around the past memories, using a trigger word for them. He felt the Confuse Ray hit, feeling it wiping where his memories would have been. He fell to the ground, his eyes dazed.
Not bad, Zeelo. You used quite an interesting strategy there. Well, while he's out cold, let's get outta here. Deo said, started to concentrate back on the Horde. His energy was used up, so it would take another minute or two. He only hoped Arren wouldn't awaken in that time.

"Hang on," said Zeelo, trotting back over to the now unconcious Arren. A confuse ray, even of Zeelos standards cant cause the opponent to be knocked unconcious. But h had heard that strong or legendary pokemon could block attacks like this, and that would use a great amount of energy. Zeelo used the confuse ray again, knowing that if the pokemon had indeed used this technique, it would be almost impossible to protect its mind again. |

Arren hadn't felt like blocking the attack, hoping that the hybrid would leave. He was now sad he was wrong. The Confuse Ray hit hard, but the memories were already protected. He felt the odd feeling and pain, mentally moaning in pain.
Deo, while watching Zeelo, got an idea. He'd seen this strategy of Arren's, and knew it lasted a while.
Zeelo, here's a question. How susceptible are super-strong pokemon to the shadowing process? Deo grinned.
