Cave for Four, Please

[glow=red,2,300]Drogoth flew back up to the cave entrance to see the white aero and the small black one standing together on the cliff's edge looking down at him. He pulled up next to them and with a couple flaps of his wings landed on the edge next to them. "We should not tolerate other predators in out territory" said the grey aero with slight grin. Though he was lying about the reason he killed the houndour, it wouldn't sound right if he told them he was protecting the flock simply because they were ampharos.[/glow]

Sukun thought this was a bit odd, one houndour wouldn't have taken much prey away. There was quite a bit of prey here anyway. But he kept his expression level and nodded. "Yeah..especially if there's a whole pack of those things 'round," he grunted so that he wouldn't become against the gray aero.

[glow=red,2,300]Drogoth smiled at Sunkun then walked into the cave and paused as he stood on his hind legs. The aerodactyl held his hands behind his back studying the cave as he slowly turned round in a circle. "Yes" said Drogoth as he clapped his hands together, "and my spot will be right here in the middle, I'll be the first line of defense if we ever have an intruder, that way the rest of you will have time to retreat into the tunnels if need be, after all Akeer can see better than any of us in here" said Drogoth.[/glow]

"That makes sense," agreed Akeer. Once she found out where these tunnels lead in relation to her underworld, the mental map would come to her. Grey's statements about the Houndour seemed plausible enough for her to believe as well. So the female returned to the inside of the cave, then stared into the darkness in the back. Someday soon she would explore the tunnel, get a good sense of it, and seal off any leaks that predators would take advantage of. En expedition was necessary for this to happen. So tomorrow, Akeer noted to herself, she'd do a little spelunking.

[glow=red,2,300]Drogoth caught himself checking Akeer out when she wasn't looking, he gave his head a shake and tried to think of something besides females. The aerodactyl lay down in the middle of the cave curling around itself so its tail was infront of its nose and waited for sleep to take him. He figured he must trust them a bit if he were to fall asleep in the same place as them.[/glow]

Night had crept up quickly on the group of aerodactyls. Soon enough, the sun had set and the moon had rose, along with the lights of the ampharos below. Sukun felt a rush of pleasure as the night fell. He'd go out tonight. A smile flicked on his black face for a moment and then the small ying yang aerodactyl snaked past Grey and out into the air with a smooth step and a light stroke of his sleek wings. He looked down at the flock of free meals sleeping. Their tail lights glowed red as they slept. He wondered if Grey's idea of killing other preds was a good one. It was debatable, for some preds struck back when they were attacked. Ahh well. He'd worry about all of that stuff later.

His small, yet powerful wings stroked the air silently and sent him soaring up and quickly gaining alitude. The moon wasn't as full as it had been when he'd met Akeer. It was smaller now, but still good for flying with. He liked both bright moons and dark nights with no moon or stars. But he preferred the glowing silver orb in the sky.

Akeer had already gone back to her mossy bed before the night reigned. She slept lightly, however, for the feeling of the open-faced cave let in air freely; alien air, from the Overworld. Only the mosses' squishy, comforting touch kept her asleep throughout the night. The white aerodactyl dreamed of darkness filled with echoing clicks that allowed her to see. The clicks meant nothing in particular - only that someone, or something, was somewhere.

[glow=red,2,300]The grey aerodactyl stirred in his sleep and slightly opened a blood red eye to see the small black Sunkun take off. Drogoth woke fully with a start and sprinted to the edge to watch the other aero fly away. Looking down he could see the lights of the sleeping ampharos, he could only hope that he did not attack them, if Sunkun did there was nothing Drogoth could do about it with out drawing suspicion to himself. Drogoth cursed under his breath and hoped he left them alone.[/glow]

The sudden movement of a big creature awakened Akeer. She raised her head slightly to see what was going on, to see if some dumb Onix had infiltrated their new base. But upon looking around, she only noticed that Grey had moved to the cliff edge. She lifted her neck fully and stared at the male. "What's going on, Grey?"

[fya]

Sukun didn't notice Grey's sillouette on the edge of the den. He swooped higher, letting the silver moon rays illuminate his black back. He then flipped over into a loop-d-loop and finished it cleanly. He bit back a cry of pleasure, knowing their carry out meals were asleep as well as the other aeros that probably were.

ic: Drogoth grinned to himself as he watched Sunkun flip ~not bad, for an amature~ The aerodactyl walked back into the cave with a worried look on his face walked back into the cave when he heard Akeer question him. "Nothing. Sunkun is just out for a fly. That's all" said Drogoth glancing at the female aero.[/glow]

She raised her head into a nod. "Ah, good. Never mind then. Good night," With that, Akeer squeezed her head back into her mossy bedding and tried to get more sleep. She had to let the others know they could trust her, and she could trust them. Besides, Sukun was a spunky aerodactyl, one likely to go for a midnight glide.

ic: Sukun flipped around a bit more before soaring to the mountain tops where he perched on the edge of the cliff and looked down. A smile lit his dark face. He was one for stunts, and he always needed to fill the daring feeling in his body. He dove down, wrapping his wings around him. He watched the dark rock rush past and the ground neared his eyes. He saw the cave zoom past as he rocketed downward. The ground was nearing. Keeping totally still as not to make a racket or break the speed, he waited until he was a mere foot from the surface to spread his powerful wings and glide upwards. The rush of adreniline was why he loved this so much, he thought as he glided slowly back up. That moment that his brain said 'im gonna die!' just made his day. He soon landed on the cave entrance, his smile now a big grin which he tried to hide, but couldn't.

Akeer opened an eye just a crack to see Sukun return to the cave, bearing a wide grin. Whatever he did out there, it must've been fun. She surfaced a grin, but she did not move to greet Sukun. For all she knew, she was asleep all night.

Drogoth turned his eyes up to her as she lay on the edge, "Good night, Akeer" He stared at her for a second longer before forcing himself to look away, hormones could be so controling. The grey aero lay back down in the middle of the cold hard floor and fell asleep.[/glow]

ic: "Good night, everyone," said Sukun quietly. If Grey could talk, he could too. He started to calm his grin and climbed up into his cubby hole. He stretched his arms and cracked his knuckles before curling up to sleep.

(Steve - I just altered the D/P sprite a bit. Does Drogoth have any differences in anatomy? Longer tail, different mouth shape, etc..)

The night passed quickly enough, and in high summer the sun smoothly crept over the horizon. But it rose opposite the cave entrance, illuminating the scene outside while keeping them in the shade. Akeer was still fast asleep.

Sukun awoke as the sun rose. Warm air blew into the cave. Summer. Definetly here. He crawled out of his cubby hole and stretched. He yawned once and then moved to the opening of the cave. The small aerodactyl looked out. He watched the flock begin to stir and give their 'Phos's light' to each other. He looked at the sky. A few dark cloud lulled in the east. A storm today, probably. It was extremely hot and humid. His favorite season. At last. Summer.

[glow=red,2,300](his wings are long, so is his tail, but his tail is thinner than your avatar. I should have mentioned he has extra long horns, takes after his father, normal sized eyes, lots of fangs,)

ic: Drogoth was asleep indeed when Sunkun wished him goodnight, but he now woke with the sun but did not move from where he lay and just stared out of the caves entrance.[/glow]

Sukun sat down at the entracne and examined the horizon. Forests, plains, rivers, lakes, and then mountains. Erymire. Right there. Not too big, but big enough. Home. He wondered how bit the whole world really was. He swung his tail around as he thought.

[glow=red,2,300]The grey aero got up off the floor and took a hold of one of his long horns and twisted his neck making it crack loudly. He let out an exasperated sigh and walked up behind the small black aero with red eyes. "Good morning Sunkun" he said looking out on erymire.[/glow]

Sukun glanced back with big eyes at the crack. He bit his lip softly. That..was a little out there. He tried to hide his expression and was able to mask it after a quick fumbling moment. "Good morning," he replied after he'd regained control of himself.

[Pax]

Akeer began to stir from his mossy bed, but only shifted her position and continued to rest. Even though she was exposed to light yesterday, it'd still take a while for her to get used to the sun, day in and day out. So the female remained cozy. She was no longer asleep, but decided to laze in the morning shade.

Sukun stayed at his perch in the cave's entrance. The small black and white aerodactyl was watching life stir across Erymire. His sharp eyes watched the ampharos begin to graze and saw a few tailow fly across the sky, chirping and playing tag. In the distance he thought he saw an aerodactyl return to the western mountains. He narrowed his eyes as the vague shape disappeared. ~Odd..~

[glow=red,2,300]OOC: I'll assume Sunkun was trying not to laugh when Drogoth craked his neck.

Drogoth was naturaly untrusting to others, but he was alive, meaning no one attacked him in his sleep. ~Maybe I can trust them~ he thought. He noticed Sunkun seemed to have a habit of bitting back what he really wanted to say to him, and probably out of fear. The big grey aerodactyl walked up and stood next too the small black one and put an arm around him, "hey bud, you don't have to be afraid of me. If you have something, anything you want to say, just say it. I won't get mad. I trust you all now, and my real name is Drogoth" said Drogoth with a smile.[/glow]

ooc: and you have assumed right..you win..woo *sarcastic laugh*

Bud? . Sukun looked away from Grey, err Dragoth. He looked back at the gray aerodactyl. "Drogoth? Cool name," he said, ignoring the other half the of the aero's words. He'd bite back anything he wanted, and for good reason too.

Drogoth chuckled, "Fine then, keep your secrets" said the aerodactyl as it gave the small one a small push, not to harm him, he was trying to be friendly and get Sunkun to lighten up. He figured Sunkun wanted to say something about Akeer, it wouldn't bother Drogoth if he got told off by the chibi ying yang aero.[/glow]

Akeer finally woke up. She yawned lazily and climbed down from her perch, quickly spotting Sukun and Grey exchanging pleasantries. At that thought, she laughed out loud. "Am I interrupting your privacy, boys?" she asked, tilting her head with a wide grin.

Drogoth laughed out loud, "Indeed, we would prefer to have some privacy because we just can't keep our claws off each other, Sunkun's making all the moves" he said with a laugh, "What's the matter Akeer, jealous?" said Drogoth with a wide grin back at her as he put an arm around Sunkun. ~This will probably freak Sunkun out even though I'm just joking~ thought Drogoth.[/glow]

Aero was awake and had been very silent for a while (because of my internet!!!) as he listened to what all was being said.
