An Experience

[Thomas]

"I just arrived... The other two I don't know.. I think they've lived here.."
He looked around cautiously. This was a habit of his from traveling so much and worrying about so many various threats.

ooc: Cool, hehe, make sure you keep track of all those charries! ^_^

ic: " I've lived here all my life," said Bink. " So has Sello, and the others of my kind you'll find here."

[fya]

"Our kind is plentiful here," said Sello. "Though few around here evolve into swamperts. If we are determened to reach that stage we leave for bigger rivers." He looked at Torch. "The flamed kind are not often seen here. What are you doing here?" Being one of the older marshtomp, he had to keep a watch out for Pokemon that might cause trouble.

[Little John]

"Well I escaped from a lab where they wanted to boil my brain, I went KAPOOW,KABOOM, they were no match for me....." He saw that they didn't believe him. "I snuck out the backdoor of the nicest lab ever and ended up here, good enough?"

[fya]

"What's a lab?" asked Sello. He, like all the mudkips and marshtomps here, had been born here and knew nothing of the human world. "Was it the Horde? They do nasty stuff like that." The marshtomp stretched breifly and then looked back at Torch curiously.

[Little John]

"Um, whats the Horde? A lab is like a human building where they examine pokemon. They also give them away to trainers willy nilly all over the place."

[fya]

"Humans? What are those? Are they Pokemon?" Sello had never heard of the human world. He was a normal Pokemon of the Erymire region and knew nothing of the human ways. "And the Horde is a group of evil Pokemon that capture us normal Pokemon to either serve with them or to lock them in their dungeon." He paused. "I think...wait I think I have heard of humans. They built the Horde's base long ago...I think. And we don't know really what goes on in there. But its not a pretty place."

[Little John]

"If its anything like being in a trainers pokeball, I will stay away." Torch wondered how these people lived so normal without the fear of trainers.

[fya]

"Pokeball?" questioned Sello. "It's bad. I don't know anyone who's ever come back. But the rumor is they either get you to do their dirty work or they throw you in these cells and leave you there..to die."

[Little John]

"Is there any way out?" Torch asked. He was a monkey of course and didn't like to be confined. He sat down at the waters edge and started to drink.

[fya]

A little annoyed that his question of what a pokeball was hadn't been answered, Sello replied, "Really, I have no idea. No one that has been captured has ever returned. Once a swampert when there to try and rescue some mudkip children that had been captured, but she never returned. So my guess is probably not. But none of us have ever been there and we have no intention of going now. It's just begging for death, in my opinion."

[wynnyelle]

" Oh, I agree," said Bink. " Best to protect the ones who are still with us."

[fya]

Sello gave his younger companion a smile. "No need to go begging for death to protect everyone else. I figure that the reason no one's come back is because it just -isn't- possible to escape." He shrugged. Not many of them were lost to the Horde and it wasn't that big of a deal to him.

[wynnyelle]

" I don't know," said Bink. " Maybe they kill them...and that's why no one ever hears from them again?"

[fya]

"Could be," said Sello. "Let's not ponder it though." He frowned. "Whatever happens, I don't think I really want to know."

[wynnyelle]

" I'm afraid to know," said the young mudkip, who continued to wait for Rio to feel better. He dived into the water to go catch a fish.

[fya]

Sello stretched and watched Rio somemore. He wasn't about to leave the rioru alone. He still didn't totally trust the chimchar. The things Torch spoke of were just too crazy for him to just -bam- trust him.

[wynnyelle]

Bink returned with a small goldeen, and he sat upon the rock to eat it. Then he remembered. " I wonder--Rio, do you want a fish? I could always catch another one."

[Thomas]

Rio awoke after having gone to sleep for the evening. The fire one turned out not to be evil after all and Rio still needed to recover all his energy. As it was, he was at around 3/4th full power. This was good enough for him. He lingered by the creek taking in some more water before looking around the place inquisitively. He had yet to actually examine the terrain her was in. It looked good enough to him, and he still needed a bit longer to fully recover. Why not stay here for a bit?

[Thomas]

Rio smiled happily at the mudkips offering.
"Thank you but no, I can catch my own.. In fact I may just have to do that soon enough."
As he said this he examined the water for any water types he might be able to snatch up.

[wynnyelle]

" How are you doing today?" said Bink, who was returning from fishing and wanted to see how their new friend was.

[Thomas]

"Steadily getting back to full strength. Just need to find myself something to eat here."
As he said this he saw a small Keikouo swimming through the stream and knew this was his one chance. He quickly launched himself into the air with a Quick Attack and once he was above the tiny Keikouo he launched Force Exert which didn't kill the tiny pokemon but paralyzed it enough for him to hopefully get it. He landed on the ground softly and walked over to pick the fish up and eat it.
"See.. that's how it's done."

[wynnyelle]

" That was amazing," said Bink shyly. " All I can do is hope to catch really small fish with just my agility. Which isn't often that good. But, it's enough to get me by."

[Thomas]

"If you're surviving then you're obviously doing something right."
Rio bit into his Keikouo happily. He had never tasted anything like this before and it was amazing to his taste buds.
"Would you like a bite of this?"

[wynnyelle]

" Oh...that would be so kind of you...thank you..." Bink tentatively took a tiny bite.

[Thomas]

"Tastes good doesn't it? These guys are usually hard to find."
Rio smiled happily and took another bite as he waited for the Mudkip to take a bite as well.

[fya]

Sello watched. Making friends was good. Very good. "So what is your name? I am Sello, one of the older marshtomp here. You have an interesting method of fishing, I must say." He'd never seen anything like it.

[wynnyelle]

Bink saw that Rio was waiting for him to eat more, so he did, eager to please.

[Thomas]

"Me? I am Rio. Nice to meet you Sello. As for my fishing method, I just use power to overwhelm them. You two probably have much better methods."
Rio looked around anxiously. He was keeping an eye out, for what he didn't know. Ever since he left he felt like he had been followed but he could never confirm it.

[fya]

"No not really," said Sello. "We just use our speed really. Nothing spectacular." He chuckled. "So where were you off to Rio? You looked like you were on a mission or something."
