An Experience

[Thomas]

Rio wandered into the place known as Cascade Canyon, delirious thanks to fatigue from constant walking and searching. What he was searching for seemed to elude even him but he felt a longing to keep going on and never stop to look back. Perhaps he was running from something? Whatever his reasons he ended up here, tired, hungry, and thirsty.

He saw a creek and approached it as quickly as he move. He tried to kneel down and drink from it but at that moment, fatigue caught up and next thing he knew he was face down in the creek. His mind was going but his body was torn, it wanted nothing more then to just give up and relax. Rio tried one last time to move his arms but sadly, he was too weak to lift even his own arms. He tried to take one last breathe of air, fearing this would be the point where he died but the water seemed to be against him as it crept into his nose and began to choke him.
That's it, he was certain this was where he would die.

Splashing around farther down the river was a marshtomp. He was blue and pale pink opposed to the normal orange. Sello splashed towards the rioru. Curiously, he poked the apparently dead Pokemon. "Hello there?" He bent down and began to lift the strangely colored rioru up. He wasn't sure if he was alive or not.

Bink, a mudkip, watched the proceedings with curiosity. He was normally coloured, but in pastels, and where he should have been orange, he was a very pale grey-blue. He knew not to get in the way and upset the more dominant marshtomp, but he couldn't help but notice the rioru that he'd found.

[Thomas]

"I-I'm f-fine...Just n-need to g-get some e-energy.."
Rioru could barely lift his own head. Maybe he needed sleep or food or water.. He obviously needed something but I doubt it was too obvious to tell exactly what he needed. He passed out again unsure of where he was or why, for that matter, that he was still alive..

[fya]

"Berries," said Sello. "Berries should help." There weren't that many berry bushes around, but there were enough. He saw that Bink was pretty nearbye. "Bink? Can ya get this lil guy some berries?" He hoised up Rio. "Lean against me. Don't wantcha to fall back into the water n get hurt."

[Thomas]

For the next few minutes Rio faded in and out of consciousness. Having moved pretty much constantly for a month or so seemed to have finally taken it's toll on the poor pokemon.

"T-Thank You..."

[fya]

"No problem, kid," said Sello, letting the rioru lean on him. He hoped Bink would hurry up. It was obvious that the poor rioru needed something in him. Something besides water, apparently.

[Thomas]

Rio hated depending on other pokemon but at this point he really had no other choice. He had yet to many any truly nice pokemon in his journeys and result surprised him but he was still too tired to even concentrate long.

[wynnyelle]

" Right away!" Bink headed up along the bank of the river to retrieve some berries. He returned with a razz, hoping that was a good kind for revitalizing a pokemon. He dropped the berry down next to the rioru. " Here you go..."

[fya]

"Thanks Bink," said Sello with a nod of satisfaction. He handed one of the berries to Rio. "Here. Eat them they should help."

[Thomas]

The Rioru mustered up all the strength he could and managed to eat the Razz and then fell asleep. Maybe he was all better now? Or at least resting was what he needed perhaps?

[fya]

Carefully, Sello dragged Rio so that only his feet were in the water. "Well we'll just have to let him rest now," he said to Bink calmly. He had decided that Rio did have a fighting chance.

[wynnyelle]

Bink sat back to see if the rioru did anything else, and when he saw he was asleep he looked at Sello to see if he needed anything else.

[Thomas]

As Rio layed sleeping he continued to make movements with his legs, similar to walking. It appeared that even in his dreams he couldn't escape walking. He was apparently dreaming now so it appeared he was out of immediate threat, though when he wakes up he'll probably be pretty hungry and or thirsty.

Bink brought Rio another razz, from the same bush. He lay it nearby on the rock for when the rioru woke up.

[Thomas]

An hour or two passed before Rio finally made another movement. He rolled over for no reason and when he did this, exposed himself to the smell of the Razz berry. He blindly reached out and picked it up to eat. After several bites he placed what little remained down and slowly rose to his feet.
"I owe you both one.. Thank you truly. You didn't have to do that."
He was no good at thanking others, mainly because he had never done it before. After making this statement he found the creek and began drinking vigorously from it.

[wynnyelle]

" It wasn't me," said Bink. " It was Sello. He pulled you from the water. And he told me to get berries or else I wouldn't have thought of it."

[Thomas]

"But thankfully you still helped him. I owe you both."
Rio had stopped drinking from the water now and was sitting on a nearby rock relaxing. He had no clue what to do now. He was still alone, and still felt no urgency to stay anywhere, though his fatigue was keeping him from traveling too far.

[wynnyelle]

" Oh...don't mention it. You just rest as long as you need to. How did you end up in the water?" said Bink.

[Thomas]

"I wandered to these lands and saw the water so I figured I'd get a sip then be on my way. Apparently my body and me aren't together obviously. Do you two live here together?"
As he said this, Rio began rubbing the back of his head, which was caked with dirt from the water to dirt transfer.

[wynnyelle]

" I live here because Sello and the biggers let me," said Bink. " Also I was born here which is why they let me."

[Little John]

Torch watched the big pokemon talking. This was so boring, maybe he shouldn't have broke out of the Sinnoh lab, but too late.....

[Thomas]

"You were born here? I don't remember where I was born..It's been a while and the constant walking has sort of erased my memory."
He seemed to shrug this off as if it were no big deal, maybe he didn't want to remember his past.

[Little John]

torch watched these guys talking. still boring. he sent a small ember by the Rioru. It wasn't that noticeable.

[Thomas]

Rioru saw the tiny ember and using his quick attack, vanished and reappeared beside the fire pokemon. This practically drained him of all his remaining power but if there was trouble, he wanted to be ready.
"Hello... What do you want?"

[wynnyelle]

Bink, too, jumped on the defensive. The mudkip readied to use a water move on Torch if he saw the need to.

[Little John]

"Whoa, whoa. No need for fighting." Torch was a charming pokemon. "Just passing by and saw you."

[wynnyelle]

ooc: you mean torch?

ic: " I'm awfully sorry," said Bink. " I didn't mean to get on the defensive so fast..." He sighed and looked down. " Very sorry."

[Thomas]

Rio let out a sigh of relief as he turned and walked back towards the waters edge.
"Just try not to introduce yourself like that.. Not the best way in my view.."
Rio did not apologize for anything he did because he felt no need. To apologize means you were wrong or ill advised of the situation and Rio had made it his business to be as close to perfect as was possible.
