An all-black, rather large flaaffy ram, bleeding from several wounds, ran out onto the meadow, breathing heavily. Carni looked around, near the end of his strength. His deep scarlet eyes saw the other pokemon too late to flee from them. Sparks flew off of his hide, making his short fur on his head and chest stand on end. He fell to his knees and collapsed, too tired to go on. "They're coming..."

"What's wrong?" Clara asked, hurring over to Carni and kneeled beside him. "Who's coming?" Auron asked, not getting any closer as his friend did. "Let him catch his breath," Clara told Auron sternly, even though she asked her own question. "You're tore up bad..." she muttered, examining the wounds.

"Them," gulped Carni, "them...there was...whole horde of them...they tore up my flock...tore up my mother." Tears began to flow from Carni's blood-red eyes.

Casey stopped chasing the butterfly and ran to the Flaaffy with Damien.

"A whole...bunch of pokemon...whole huge group of them...more than just one kind. Mostly dogs, though, predators--but they didn't just want to eat. They wanted to destroy." Carni winced at the pain of his wounds.
From farther off, up the meadow, came a light. It was soon revealed to be a pair of lights, amber-coloured lights belonging to an ampharos. A sandy-coloured, seal-brown spotted ampharos was making her way up the meadow towards them.

Following the strange ampharos was an umbreon. He looked straight ahead as he made mental notes of his surroundings.

Charna looked behind her to make sure her strange companions were following. Up ahead, she smelled blood in the air.

Charna eased forward, tense due to her instincts to flee from the smell of blood. "Among...them..." She came a bit closer, "the flaaffy."
A large, jet-black-all-over flaaffy sat in the field near some other pokemon, clearly the centre of attention because of the fact he had a few gory gashes on his body. His eyes were deep blood red. Carni looked round at Charna, startled, then he recovered from any surprise that he had felt. "Run...get as far away from this land as you can. They slaughtered my flock...and they are coming."

Zodiac perked up at the scent of blood. Tilting his head to the side, he looked at Charna.

Sombra's mouth hung open as he listened to the flaffy's warning. His face turned serious as he spoke to Charna, "We should head his warning. Where could we go?"

"Being as I don't know the area, I have no idea, plus I can't leave, I have a mission here and that mission is to find the legend or legends who guard this place and could have knowledge of the Secumbrah," said Charna. She looked at Carni. "How many of them are there and what kinds are they? And why did they do it?"
"Mostly dogs...but many kinds...not sure how many, a flock's worth of pokemon," said Carni. "The one in the lead...said that the horde would slaughter all, and I heard him ordering to the others to take any survivors as prisoners."

"I got away," said Carni. "I ran, and hid, I dimmed my tail so they couldn't see...I just kept running till I couldn't run anymore. I don't know how I was lucky enough to get away...but it is a curse too.."
"No it isn't," said Charna. "Now that you're free, you have a chance to help anyone taken prisoner."

ic: Charna glanced at Zodiac, he had been rather unresponsive lately. Maybe he was just biding his time till he sank his teeth into one of them.

OOC: OhKay.
Zodiac watched Charna glace at him. Something in Charna's eyes made him seem wary, and untrusted. Zodiac wondered what the 'horde' things were. They seemed powerful, but sometimes pokemon exaggerate a little. Zodiac looked at the gashes on the other black Falffy. The stentch of blood made Zodiac shift a few times. He was trying not to be taken over by hunger and instinct.
OOC: Better?

Zodiac looked at Sombra. He didn't dare open his mouth, because he didn't want a bunch of drool to pour out, so all he did was merely shrug. He shifted again, not liking the place he was in. He didn't mind blood, but if he was hungry and couldn't eat, he didn't like it one bit.

"Well I'm not out to save the world," said Charna. "It's up to him what he wants to do with regards to any prisoners. I don't know anything about it. Do you know where this horde headed to after they killed your flock?"
"No," said Carni. "But...they might be after the One. The One...the aruseus who they say comes to Erymire sometimes."

Zodiac started to take deep breaths through his nose. He wanted to take one big breath thorugh his mouth, but couldn't risk his jaws controlling his actions. Zodiac knew he was standing out, but he couldn't help it.

Zodiac nodded quickly to Charna, not daring to open his mouth. He scratched his head, embarassed. He couldn't take it much longer. Hopefully, they might be on the move before he loses it...

"No, though I've heard there are great caverns filled with sacred stones...maybe he's there. I don't know," said Carni. "I don't know and I don't care anymore. I don't care about anything."
"Don't say that." Charna hated to see a fellow sheep so down on things. "I know what you feel like, I know what hell is like. It gets better than this."
