Seeing the pichu take off and run, Duran had to suppress his strong urge to lunge at it, clamp his jaws round that tender, warm, blood-filled rodentine throat. He growled and looked away.

Duran felt unable to get out the words he needed or even to find the words he needed, even in his mind. This was just so hard. Finally he said, "your eyes are silver. What does that mean?"

Duran grew agitated when she didn't answer. He growled and looked away, forcing himself not to lash out. He had to have some control here.

Nivar looked between the Pokemon and tilted his head to the side. He focused more on Duran and New Moon though, they weren't getting along anymore, though he didn't understand why.

The baby Houndour thought to himself and continued to watch.

Duran watched them go, glad they had left. That was one stupid pichu, to hang out with her own prey and then start fights with them. But more than that, he was glad she'd left because she had been the source of all this anguish he felt now.

Duran watched her go, wanting with all his heart to run after her. But he stayed where he was. His feet were rooted to the ground, it seemed, at that moment. He could not move.

Great. Now she was crying--again, and even worse this time. Growling, he trotted towards her. "Stop crying," he said. "I did not want to make you cry." Did she have to be so difficult and keep on making him feel worse the more he tried?

Duran felt better as he headed back through the grass, towards where the others had been. He found them gone. Glad the pichu was gone, he said aloud, "I wonder where they went?"
