"No Promblem! You deserve it!" Midnight yelled down to the charmander. "I'm gonna try to get closer to the thing and see if its still alive. OK?"

"Ok, be careful!" he called back up to her for what felt like the hundredth time, but he didn't mind. He was worried about his friend.

Midnight then slowly but surely inched her way around to tree to the branch with the skarmory on it. When on the branch, she clung to the tree and glanced over to see if the bird was there. But she could not see any bird or other pokemon. Rubbing her eyes she looked again, but could not see it. "Its gone," she reported. "I think it might have gotten away while you were useing your attack." She paused to take one last look, then sighed, "I'm gonna come down now." She then gracefully leaped from branch to brach until she was on the ground.

Blaze let out a sigh. "Oh well, that's ok. I'm sure we'll meet plenty of new friends," he said grinning.

Midnight nodded in agreement. "Hey, so you want to start our journey?" she asked hoping Blaze would say yes.

Blaze stared at her a moment. "DUH!" he shouted, then bursting into laughter. "I'm ready any time!" he exclaimed happily.

Midnight grinned. She was glad to get under way. Staying in one place for too long always made her dizzy for some reason. "Then let's get going!" she exclaimed, clawing the air excitedly. After walking a bit in silence, Midnight then asked Blaze, "So where do you want to go to first? The Erymire River," She then pointed down a path to their right. "Or to the Waterfalls and pools?"

"oh...," Midnight murmured in a small voice. She had forgotten that charmanders hate water. "Well... Ummm... We could maybe go to the Berrytree Groves instead," she said hopefully.

MIdnight then nodded. She then said, "Let's go to the River first. If thats alright?" Her gaze slipping down to Blaze then to the path and back again.

Midnight scratched the side of her head in embarassment. She then walked down the path to the right with Blaze. Not far down the aroma of rattata filled her nose. "You hungry?" she asked Blaze with a hint of hungrieness in her voice.

He noticed that she was hungry. "Oh, sure. You go get something to eat. I'll be fine for now," he told her.

Midnight nodded at Blaze's reply. She then scurried off to catch some food. When she came back, she had a rattata in on of her paws. Once she finished eating, she got up and said, "Now let's get going."
