The snow crunched beneath her shivering paws as she trudged angrily through the snow covered mountain. Kaiya was infuriated at her terrible luck. It seemed unreasonable, improbable, and even impossible that out of all of the pokemon that she could have encountered, she would have had to encounter the one that she did. It had only been four hours since her dangerous encounter with the vicious ninetales. However, that encounter had not left the wolf unscathed.
The pokemon had attacked her mercilessly and without warning. She had been making her journey into the snow covered land as she always did, returning to what was once her natural habitat; her homeland. It had been there that she had been caught off guard by a much larger, and very much stronger pokemon; a ninetales. It's claws had dug into her soft skin as she bounded away. The pokemon had chased her, taking her down into the snow.
Luckily, the wolf had been smart enough to fake her own demise. This in turn, fooled the ninetales and gave it no further reason to harm her. It left her alone. She laid there for an hour or so, allowing the ninetales time to leave the area. Once she felt that it was safe, she made her way up into the mountains, crawling very slowly and carefully. She was not going to find herself caught by surprise a second time.
The glittering white snow around her slowly faded, turning crimson as her blood dripped from her wounds. What was she to do? She had to find shelter quickly before she found herself freezing to death. There wasn't much that she could do at this point. She was far too weak and in too pain to dig a burrow. However, she had to get out of the wind quickly before she found herself dead and frozen in the snow.
Suddenly, a glimmer of hope. There was a small cave up ahead. What luck! She would make her way to the cave, bed down, and rest. It was about time! With new found hope, Kaiya bounded through the snow. She ignored the pain biting into her flesh as she ran. The thought of warm shelter was enough to keep her going. Finally, she made it, leaping through the crack in the mountain and into a warm clearing.
Something wasn't right however. There was a fire burning. That could only mean one thing. This cave was far from abandoned. In fact, Kaiya wasn't even sure that it was empty. That meant that someone was in there already. Even worse, that pokemon was still there. Could that mean that the ninetales had come to this location? Kaiya shuddered at the thought. This could turn out to be another dangerous encounter.

The male sighed, staring into the light of his fire. What had happened to him? How had he stood by and watched as his entire pack had been destroyed? How had he done nothing while his brothers, sisters, parents, friends; everyone he had ever known fell before his eyes? The memories of that day still haunted him to that very moment. He had never forgotten the look on his mother's face as she was struck down by an arcanine. He could not believe what had been done. It had all happened so fast, almost in an instant. Now he was alone, sitting in a cave and staring at the fire with nothing to look forward to except... wait...
He slowly rose his head, his ears perking up at the sound of paws and crunching snow reached them. Someone was here. Someone had arrived... and inside of his cave no less! What did this pokemon want he wondered? Were they a friend or foe? Were they here to pose a threat and cause trouble for the pokemon or were they simply looking for a place to rest for the night? There was only one way to find out. "Hey you! What are you doing here? What do you want?" He bellowed angrily.
Shouting normally helped to intimidate other pokemon into leaving him alone. Of course, his size normally did the job for him. Still, there were many times when he had encountered a pokemon of much large stature that he. That posed a problem. That was why he shouted to fiercely as he leapt into the open. His actions were brought to a halt however, when he looked upon his opponent. It was a small wolf, a poochyena no less. She was rather small and she appeared to be frightened. Her fur was a glistening white like snow outside. She was pretty.
Kuro could feel a slight blush rising to his cheeks as he realized that he had just made a complete fool of himself. "Oh... I beg your pardon. I didn't realize... I umm" the wolf stumbled helplessly over his words, trying to find the right words to correct his blunder. Surely, this female thought that there was something wrong with him at this point. Perhaps she felt that he was a bitter young wolf or a dangerous predator. She probably had no idea that he meant her no harm at this point. Boy, he had certainly messed up this time.

The wolf jumped at the sound of someone bellowing with such a force, that she feared the cave would collapse. Kaiya quickly realized that the source of the yelling was another young wolf. He was of her own species. However, his fur was of a very different color. His fur was very dark and rough. The bristles were sharp edged.
She was fearful now. What was this pokemon's intentions? Was he dangerous? The girl stood frozen in the face of this very angry pokemon. However, a few moments later something strange happened. The male lost his animosity. If anything, the wolf actually looked somewhat embarassed. Was he... afraid of her? No, of course not. Although, Kaiya began to question that as the male stood before her, stuttering over his words like a moron.
Perhaps there was something wrong with him. "Look...I'm sorry about your den. I didn't realize that this cave was occupied. I can go if you want..." Kaiya regretted her sentence the moment it came out. The thought of returning into that bitter cold snow storm made her shiver. Not to mention the fact that an angry ninetales was lurking out there. Were she to return outside, she would run the risk not only of freezing to death, but also being torn apart.

"No no! It's alright, really. I just... I had thought that you were... someone else..." he replied quietly. He certainly hoped that he hadn't scared her too badly. That would not be a good thing. "So um... what are you doing out here? It's pretty cold and... you seem to be rather, well... hurt..." He was noting the fact that her fur was stained with a considerable amount of crimson. She was bleeding profusely. The fact that she had somehow made her way all the out here was astonishing.
Kuro wondered what she was doing out there in the first place. Not to mention that her condition brought about other questions. If she had been out there, whatever it was that had attacked her was out there as well. What was out there? Did this mean that leaving the cave was unsafe? Could whatever it was have possibly followed her here? That was a terrifying thought. "Look, nevermind that. Here... lay down, you look exhausted." Kuro sat down and wagged his tail slowly.
He was trying to appear less terrifying than he had only moments ago. He didn't want her to feel intimidated by him. He simply wanted to make sure that she would be alright. This pokemon was in terrible condition. Kuro could see that. He knew that it was only matter of time before she finally collapsed. No one could continue for long periods of time after loosing that much blood. He was worried whether or not she would even be able to survive at this point. Was there something that he could do for her? There had to be something he could do to help her. Anything was an option at this point.

How did pokemon stand this? How were there creatures in the world that actually enjoyed the cold? Eriko hated it. It was awful! All places should be warm, in her opinion.
Though, she was a flareon. Fire-types didn't often enjoy cold, wet things.
She had crossed a ninetails with a cruel glint in its eyes, and though she was much smaller (she was smaller than most things, having been the runt of the litter) it left her alone. She was a leader, and no fool. Just because her pack was...in an unfortunate state, she was still the strong, brave alpha she had always been. The ninetails knew that, or could sense that at the very least.
The only thing that bothered her was that it smelled like blood.
As the smell of blood grew stronger, the smell of canines made itself present. Possibly pups, maybe a little older. Fear took over Eriko--was it hers? She hadn't seen her pup for quite some time...
She made her way towards a small cave where the smell was the strongest, the freshest. Her steps were light, so not to alarm the creatures inside. (There wasn't much she feared, so she was not afraid of a possible attack.) Disappointment clenched at her stomach. It wasn't her pup...not a little eevee. It smelled different. A couple of poochyenas if her nose didn't fail her--the cold did quite a number on her senses.
The flareon almost turned to leave, but the smell of blood worried her. If she was correct--that there was a wounded pup in there--her assistance was needed.
"Hello," she called softly a few feet away from the opening of the cave. She wouldn't get too close; she knew better than that. She would wait until her presence was known. In a calm voice, she added, "Is something wrong?" The scent was worrying her.
((I do hope you don't mind if I join. ^^))

Kaiya flopped down onto the ground and let out a heavy sigh. She was so very tired. The wound in her side burned as dust and other particles landed on and around it. She hadn't realized how deep her wounds actually were. She had arrived at this cave next to death. She had feared that the pokemon inside of it would have finished her. She feared that Kuro would have been her end. However, she had been lucky this time. He had not finished her. This was good. She was alive for another day. Of course, that was if she were able to survive the night.
"Hello, is something wrong?" came the sound of a worried female's voice. Kaiya leapt to her feet, ready for battle. Unfortunately, her wounds made the poor wolf regret it only moments later. Her legs wobbled beneath her and collapsed as she fell to the ground. Kaiya let out a tiny whimper of defeat as she lay helplessly on the ground. There was nothing that she could do at this point to defend herself. She was helpless. She whined quietly to herself waiting for the inevitable.
Whoever was outside would surely be a predator of some sort. Once she realized that she was hopeless without any way of defending herself, Kaiya would become a delightful meal. Although, she was a wolf of very small stature, therefore she failed to see what any predator would find satisfying about her meatless form. Perhaps Kuro would try to protect her. He was rather large for his kind, but still he was only a poochyena. What could he do against a large experienced predator like the one outside of their cave? Nothing, he could do nothing. She would kill and dispose of him first and then move on to her. Kuro would be the appetizer and Kaiya would be the main course.
Suddenly, Kaiya opened her eyes. What if she was simply being pessimistic? What if the pokemon outside was genuine? What if she really wanted to help them? A heavy weight lifted from Kaiya's heart as she comprehended this possibility. For a few moments she felt so relieved, she could almost sing. Had help finally arrived? Kaiya had no idea. These next few minutes were crucial. She could either be assisted or dead. The only thing she could do now was wait.

Though permission to come in had not been given, Eriko moved closer to the den. The small noise sounded full of pain and her maternal instinct kicked in. It needed help. Right now.
Eriko moved slowly into the slightly (only slightly) warmer invironment. She was correct in her assumtion: it was only a couple of pups. A male and a female, the female being the injured one.
Oh! Poor thing was beaten up pretty bad. Hm...the temperment of the Ninetails species never ceased to surprise her.
The Pokegods placed the little thing into the wrong place; no berries (especially the blue one with healing abilities) would be found in the glaciers.
The flareon wagged her tail in a friendly manner, showing she was no threat to the younger wolf. "Hello there." The greeting was soft. She moved a little closer to the poor creature.
(The male had yet to move, but he did not worry her. What could a poochyena possibly do to her?)
The wounds were bad, but a plan had already formed in Eriko's mind. She knew how to help the wolf.
"My name is Eriko, and I'd like to help you. What's your name?"

Kuro watched carefully as she made her way into the open. From what he could see in her features, she looked harmless. Kuro new better. He knew that this pokemon was many things, but she was far from harmless. Whether or not it was her intention to hurt her though. He wasn't sure. Unfortunately, in their current situation, he didn't have much of a choice but to accept her arrival. He didn't have the strength to fight her off and in her condition, Kaiya certainly didn't.
"Hello there." She said quietly. She was speaking softly. Perhaps she was trying to let them know that she wasn't dangerous? Kuro wasn't quite sure. He watched her inch closer to Kaiya's battered form. He felt compelled to try and protect her. For some reason, he couldn't bring himself to move. What was going on? The pokemon looked carefully over Kaiya. It was as if she were searching for something; wounds perhaps? "My name is Eriko, and I'd like to help you. What's your name?"
Kuro watched as Kaiya lay motionless on the ground. She remained silent for a few moments. Kuro wasn't sure whether she was simply too fearful to speak or if she could not. Had his newly found companion slipped so suddenly into unconsciousness? Even worse, had she crossed over into the world of oblivion? Deciding that he could not wait any longer, Kuro stepped forward, speaking for his friend. "Her name is Kaiya...I don't know much more about her than that. She just kind of... stumbled in here not too long ago..."
He wasn't sure why he was giving this fox/wolf so much information. He wasn't sure why he was even talking to her at all. After all, she could be a predator. She certainly seemed friendly enough. Then again, so had the Arcanine that had left his pack in ruin. He wasn't ready and/or willing to trust this pokemon so suddenly. It would reckless. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't afford to be hostile either. Kaiya was already on the brink of death. In her weakened state and his tired condition, neither of them would have the ability to fight her off. Were he make a wrong move, this female could easily kill them both.

The male's voice caught Eriko's attention. A small smile graced her lips as she turned to look at him; he didn't trust her. A good thing, though. Sometimes it was hard to trust anyone. It was hard to tell who had good intentions and who had bad ones.
"Thank you," she said, happy for the small bit of information. The little wolf had not been here long. There was still a chance.
Oh how she wished one of her companions were with her--the next decision was a hard one. She didn't want to leave the two, if only to be there in case something happens. Then again, she could not figure out if the male would be strong enough to hunt. The female, Kaiya she now knew, would need something to eat. Her body would be able to heal itself after a little with food and rest.
Hm...food would be scarce here. Maybe she could find a small rat or two hiding somewhere. That would be enough for the two wolves for now.
"How are you feeling?" she directed the question at the male. She wouldn't go too far away, but she wanted to make sure that he would be fine on his own for a small amount of time.

Kaiya nodded slowly and groaned. She was so very tired. She was beginning to feel light headed. The wound was finally starting to get to her. With a sigh, she placed her head down on the ground. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. After a few moments, she simply gave up. This was pointless. From the looks of things, Kuro had things under control. For now, she would leave things up to him.

He slowly nodded his head in response to her words. She seemed grateful for the information that she had recieved. Of course, that was all she was getting. Kuro had no intention of giving her any more information about Kaiya. Then again, he didn't really have any more information about her. Still though, if he did have any more information, he wouldn't be giving it to this female. His ears twitched as her voice reached him once more. She was asking him a question.
"Oh, me? I'm fine... Just... worried... he said quietly. Up until now, he hadn't really been thinking about himself. His attention had been so intently focused on Kaiya that he hadn't really had any time to worry about his own well being. Either way, none of that mattered at the moment. He was worried about her. He truly was. If there were anything he could do to help her, he would certainly try it at this point. He noticed Kaiya put her head down. He watched as her eyes grew heavy. He was running out of time. The two of them had to do something, and fast.

Eriko nodded, murmuring a "Good...good..."
She glanced at Kaiya. Poor darling...she couldn't go to sleep yet! She needed food, first. Her body needed some energy.
The flareon turned to the male again. "Keep her awake. I'll be back as soon as possible." She used her "alpha voice", thus she expected her command (as gentle as it might have been) to be followed.
Without waiting for him to respond, she left the little den.
((Sorry it's short~ I'll bring her back after you post. ^^ ))

Kuro froze for a moment. As he heard the female's command, he shuddered slightly. This female was scary. Her words were very gentle. Yet, they had a commanding air of authority behind them. It was the kind of voice that let him know that she wished to be obeyed. He nodded slowly as she left the cave. With a sigh, he made his way to Kaiya's motionless form. He knew that she was in bad condition. She was very tired and he knew it. However, he had been ordered not to let her sleep, no matter how much he wanted to.
He nudged her a coupe of times, trying to wake her. She didn't budge. "Come on, Kaiya. Please wake up... you can't go to sleep yet. You've got to stay awake..." He said gently. His words were quiet but stern. He needed her to stay awake for him. He was relieved when the pokemon gave a quiet sigh. Her eyes slowly fluttered open as she returned to the world of consciousness. He gave her a sad smile. That female had to hurry. Kuro wasn't sure how long she would be able to keep this up.

Food, as she expected, was scarce up in the glaciers. It was a very barren place, with not much to offer. She found that pair of rats only by luck--the poor couple was starving to death anyway.
This would be enough for now. This would feed the wolves back at the den and hopefully help Kaiya.
When she returned to the den, the rat pokemon hanging by their tails in her mouth, she was happy to find that her order had been obeyed. Kaiya was awake now, and after a nice meal and a nap she'll feel much better.
Eriko moved closer to them, placing the mice on the ground in front of them. "Thank you," she told the male with a kind smile. She turned her head to Kaiya. "Eat up, sweetie. Then you can sleep, okay?"

She fought desperately to keep her eyes open, but to no avail. As hard as she tried, she couldn't bear it any longer. Darkness was closing around her and she knew that this would be the end. It saddened her to think as much. There were so many things that she had to do... She couldn't die yet, she simply couldn't. Come on, Kaiya! Wake up! Come on! she told herself over and over again. As her eyes began to grow heavy, the wolf let out a sigh. Just as her eyes were about to close for the final time, a strange scent entered her nostrils.
It smelled of blood...and fur...Forcing her eyelids to open, Kaiya examined the area. Where was that scent coming from. After a few moments, her eyes focused on Eriko. She was back, and with food! She had brought food for them. The female felt a jolt of relief as she saw the meal dangling from her jaws. Eriko placed the dead mice on the ground in front of them. Kaiya could feel her mouth watering as she saw the food land before her. "Eat up, sweetie. Then you can sleep okay?" she asked quietly.
Kaiya didn't need to be told twice. She was more than happy to finally have food in her belly. Forcing her body to rise, she dragged herself towards the mice. Opening her jaws, Kaiya took a bite into the meat. A sigh of relief escaped from her mouth as she felt the warm blood of the mouse drip onto her tongue. Suddenly, the wolf felt as though she hadn't eaten in years. She was so hungry. She quickly threw the meat back and swallowed. She quickly took another bite out of the mouse, chewing rapidly. Kaiya felt as though maybe now, everything might be okay.

Something akin to a laugh escaped from Eriko. It was good that Kaiya was eating; she'd be just fine, Eriko could tell.
It felt nice taking care of others again--Eriko missed that feeling of helping someone else. She'd been alone for far too long, it seemed. It was odd that she kept finding pups.
"You eat too," she directed towards Kuro, though she didn't look at him. There were two rats there, and while Kaiya probably could eat them both by herself, he needed food too.

Kuro shook his head defiantly. He didn't want to eat the food. He was far too worried about Kaiya to worry about gorging himself. "No thank you. I'm fine..." His stomach betrayed his words, growling violently in protest. With a sigh, he shuffled over to the dead mouse and began to eat. He knew that there wasn't much he could say to defend himself at this point. His fangs tore into the meet greedily as he ate. He hadn't realized how hungry he was. He was grateful to the other pokemon for all she had done for them. "Thanks..." he mumbled through a mouthful of food.

Eriko laughed at Kuro, or rather his stomach disagreeing with his words. She was glad that he decided to eat, though. He would have more strength now.
She took a seat on the floor, staying between the eating canines and the opening of the den. Her sensitive ears caught the word of thanks from the poochyena, and something akin to a smile came to her face. "Don't mention it," she replied.
With a quick glance around, she noticed the fact that no one else had come. "Where's your family?" she asked. "Do you live here?"

Kaiya's rapid consumption of the dinner slowed to a stop as the word "family" left Eiko's mouth. Her chewing slowed as she thought back to another time. She watched as countless members of her pack were struck down. Her father was ripped apart before her eyes and her mother had gone missing. It was because of that fact that she was out here wandering in the frozen mountains in the first place. She was wandering in search of her missing mother. Kaiya knew that she was alive, somewhere. She just had to find her.
The wolf could feel her eyes sting with tears as they filled with the familiar salty fluid. She felt a wet tear run down her cheek. She missed her mother so much. Trying to stop the flow of water from her eyes, Kaiya managed to force out a few words. "I... she's not here. She's gone..." She sniffled quietly as the thoughts of her mother ran through her mind. She sat quietly, staring off into oblivion. She wasn't really sure how to react or what she was supposed to do.

Eriko's eyes widened a fraction. "I...I'm sorry." Being sepparated from one's parents seemed to be a common thing nowadays. It was strange that everyone she met had lost their mothers.
Maybe it was her job to help motherless pups--this thought almost made her smile, but now was not the time to make such a happy expression. She instead stood a moved closer to Kaiya. "I'll help you find your mother, then." If someone had found her pup, she'd want them to help her too. Do unto others and whatnot. Besides, Eriko really had a soft spot for younglings.

Kuro gave a heavy sigh and cast his eyes downward. As he heard the mention of his parents, he suddenly realized that he had forgotten his original intention of being here. He had been wandering the lands in search of power. He had been trying to find a way to evolve. Perhaps once he had obtained strength, he would be able to attract a mate and maybe help to rebuild the ruin that was once his pack. He sighed. So Kaiya had lost her parents too. It was amazing to him how many wolves lost their parents to war.
He also remembered the painful battle that had been the end of his once great family. "Yeah... mine too..." was his weak response. It was times like these that Kuro realized how very alone he was in this world. He realized that he was on his own now and that eh didn't have anyone there to help him anymore. Soon, his journey would continue and he would have to say goodbye tp Eriko and Kaiya. The thought saddened the pup. He was saddened at the thought that he would soon be alone again.

Eriko finally let her smile show, her tail wagging with excitement. She really shouldn't be so happy about the loss that these two had gone through. But, good things come with great loss, and she decided these two needed some good news.
"Then it's settled. You'll both be coming with me," she declared, looking triumphant. Her tone of voice claimed that "no" was not an acceptable answer.
"I'm a lot tougher than I look--I'll look out for the two of you." She had been alone in the world most of her life; she'd die before she let the same thing happen to Kuro and Kaiya.
And maybe Eriko's once great pack will be revived.

Kaiya nearly choked when Eriko spoke those words. Go with her? Both of them? It seemed a little far fetched. After all, the two of them had only just met each other and knew Eriko even less. Now she wanted the two of them to travel with her? She stared at Eriko with a look of shock, the piece of food in her mouth falling to the ground. The female didn't look like she was willing to take no for an answer. The two of them didn't have much of a choice and Kaiya knew that. Unfortunately it didn't make her decision any easier.
Kaiya thought about it for a few moments and realized that Eriko had a point. Traveling with her seemed to be the best option the two of them could take at the moment. The two of them alone were a couple of pups, one weakened and one injured. There was little that the two of them could do were anything to happen. Having Eriko around would eliminate that threat. Besides, three pairs of eyes were better than two. Maybe they could help her find her mother. Finally coming to her decision, Kaiya spoke. "Yeah... I guess that seems alright..."

"Excellent!" Eriko commented, not seeming too surprised. She lifted a paw to scratch at a spot behind her ear that was bugging her.
She noted the hesitation in the female's voice, and nodded approvingly. Caution was good; Eriko would have to wonder about the young one's sanity if that hesitation was not present. (Then again, it is heart-breaking that caution was learned as such a young age.)
There was a moment of silence before Eriko spoke again. "As soon as you're feeling better, we'll head out. Somewhere warmer, preferably." For good measure, she made herself shiver. It wasn't that she could actually get too cold--her body radiated heat. She just didn't like the cold, that's all.
...and food was in warmer places. That would be good for them and her. While she could go a long time without food, she couldn't last forever. And Kuro needed to learn how to hunt: if his parents weren't around to teach him then she would.

Kuro sighed. If Kaiya was going along with this there was no reason that he shouldn't. He questioned whether or not they should leave the tundra. While the temperatures were harsh and the enemies were dangerous, it was an ideal place for someone like Kaiya. Her fur was a bright snowy white that blended perfectly with the environment. Conversely, were they to leave the snow and head to a greener area, her white fur would stand out like a beacon. Kaiya would have a hard time in forests.
He however would have much less trouble considering his dark fur went well with the forest floor. What he was doing out in the tundra in the first place, he couldn't remember. Either way, it had been decided. Kaiya was going to go along with this woman. He didn't have anywhere else to go. That meant that he was along for the ride too. For some odd reason though, that thought didn't bother him too much. While he would certainly have to be cautious, he was certain that he would come to enjoy the females' company.

Eriko regarded the two briefly before turning her head to look outside. Nothing was there, of course, but she felt as if enough had been said and wanted to stare at the snow for a while. It was a rare sight to her.
Hm...snow was white. She glanced at Kaiya, the only visible movement was done by her eyes, then back outside. Kaiya was white too...That didn't worry her too much though; after all, Eriko herself was orange. She didn't exactly blend in either. But the difference was that she could fight and defend herself. (Not to mention she usually had a pack with her, and there's strength in numbers.)
Though Kuro didn't give a verbal reply, she doubted that he would refuse. Wolves liked to travel together--it was just a fact of life, one Eriko had learned long ago.
What an interesting pair she had stumbled upon. It would be fun to get to know them.
"Get some rest, okay?" She didn't look at them as she addressed the pups, instead choosing to keep looking at the vast mass of white in front of her. She knew they heard her, and knew that sleep would take them soon. Meanwhile, she'd keep watch.

Kaiya gave a heavy sigh. She was tired and certainly had no complaints about resting. However, that meant that they would be setting out n the morning. That thought worried her more than anything else. She was unsure of how she was supposed to travel. Her white fur had been stained red from dried blood. Not to mention she was already weakened from the previous attack. There was little that she would be able to do. Hopefully Eriko had a plan.
Also, Kuro was with them. Perhaps that could also be good news. At least she knew that she wouldn't be alone. She pondered these many thoughts as her eyes grew heavy. Her lids slowly began to fall as she lost consciousness. Soon she would be in the world of sleep. Soon after she would be in the world of snow. As he finally drifted off to sleep, she wondered how the three of them would make it out of there. She smiled as she thought of Eriko and how much she had done for them out of kindness. She would sleep well tonight.
(OOC: Since we are tecnically pokemon. Does that mean that we technically have pokemon powers? I.E. Shadow ball, sucker punch, etc?)

Eriko smiled, turning her head to look at Kaiya. "Sleep tight," she mumbled.
A sigh escaped her; well, this would be boring. Nine to twelve hours of staring at snow...yay. Maybe that ninetails would come back and she could have some action.
She flinched, remembering the other two. No, that's too much of a risk. Though she was sure she could handle it, there was no need to put them in danger. That would be unforgivable.
((I didn't know if you wanted to post something for Kuro or not, so I didn't do the time skip in this post. But I'll edit it if you don't want to post for him.
Oh, and yeah. We can use those powers. Or at least, most people do. ^^ ))

Kuro sighed. Kaiya was asleep. Now he was alone with Eriko. Not that he particularly minded being alone with her. She seemed to be a nice enough person. Still, he couldn't help but be slightly nervous. After all, she was a very powerful female. At least, she was in comparison to him and Kaiya. That put the two of them at seirious risk were there to ever be "complications". He decided that sitting there and staring at her would do little good and spoke. " Umm Eriko... I just wanted to say... thanks. I mean, with helping Kaiya and all... I'm not really sure what I would have done..." He trailed off, stopping himself from going any farther.
He realized he had been about to say "if anything had happened to her". Surely, that would have raised suspicion in Eriko. He didn't want to stimulate her imagination and make her think that there was something going on between the two of them. In truth, there wasn't anything going on between them. In fact, the two of them had only just met. However, the events of his past had led him to be somewhat protective. Although he barely knew the young pup, he didn't want anything to happen to her. Of course, Eriko didn't know that.

Eriko didn't look away from the outside. "It was no trouble at all. I'm just glad she's okay. Actually, to be perfectly honest, I didn't really do anything." She did turn to glance at Kuro when he faded off.
Would have done if...? If she hadn't of been there? If Kaiya didn't make it? Eriko could have easilly figured it out if she thought about it long enough, but she decided not to give it much thought. If Kuro wanted her to know what he was about to say, he would've said it.
"What happened, anyway? Why was Kaiya in such bad shape?" she asked, changing the subject. Kuro needed sleep almost as much a Kaiya did, but she wanted a few answers first.
