Kuro pondered for a few moments about her question. What had happened to Kaiya exactly? "I... don't know..." Kuro said truthfully. "I'm not really sure what had happened to her... I was bedding down in this cave to rest... and I looked up and there she was. She just kind of... stumbled in here without warning... The same question had been nagging at him all night. He had no idea what had caused the young female's pain. All he knew was that she was hurt. Other questions rose as he pondered the situation.
What had harmed Kaiya that night? Whatever it was that had attacked her was probably close by. Chances were that it was still out there, and probably pissed that Kaiya had escaped. After all, the weather in these parts was foreboding. It was impossible for anyone to get too far at night. Surely, this pokemon was no different. Even worse, what if it was out searching for Kaiya at this exact moment? The thought made him shiver. The sound of the wind whistled and made a low howling sound in the cave. Kuro jumped slightly at the sound.
"What the hell...?" he asked quietly, confused. Slowly, he crept toward the mouth of the cave, curious as to whether or not the sound had come from another pokemon. That had always been one of his downfalls. Kuro was insatiably curious. He was always looking around, always examining things. Often times, his curious nature led him into trouble. Hopefully, this would not be one of those times. He stopped in front of the cave entrance. sniffing carefully to make sure that there was nothing outside.

((I'm sorry I took so long to answer!!! I was at the beach. ^^))
Eriko frowned. Well, that wasn't much help at all. Oh well, she'd just have to interrogate Kaiya when she was feeling better. The information was important, no matter how painful the memory was. Eriko needed to know just what she was up against, just in case the thing that attacked Kaiya came back for more.
She opened her mouth to ask another question only to be cut off by the wind. She snickered as Kuro jumped. She was not used to these conditions, but if was safe to assume that in a climate like this winds were strong.
"Something wrong?" she asked when he had made his way to the mouth of the cave. She couldn't smell anything--cold weather getting to her, that she was sure of--and had to rely solely on her ears and eyes.

He saw nothing outside. With a heavy sigh he shook his head. It was just the wind. Perhaps he truly was being paranoid. The whole situation with Kaiya had started to get to him. He was so worried about the little wolf that he was beginning to see hallucinate. Perhaps he was just getting tired. Yes, that had to be it. "Just the wind... I think I'm going to get to bed now. I'm starting to hear things..." the little one made his way to the corner and flopped onto the ground. He was exhausted. "Good night Eriko... I'll see you in the morning..." Kuro's eyes slowly drooped as he made his way out of their world and into his own.

"Good night," she murmured, smiling softly at the wolf as sleep began to take him. "I wish you sweet dreams."
Eriko looked outside the mouth of the cave again with a heavy sigh. "It'll be a long night..." she told herself. She rested her head on top of her paws and gazed out at the endless sea of white.
Time skip~
Dawn was a welcome sight. With dawn came the sun, and with the sun came warmth. Eriko loved warm things, though that might have been because of her species. The foul mood she had been in throughout the night disappeared and was replaced with pure, hyper energy.
She turned with a loving smile towards the sleeping pups. Today, a few things would be cleared up and then, if the two were ready, they would leave. Eriko knew of a safe place, and was sure they would both like it. It was also a common place for packs, so maybe they could find Kaiya's mother.

Kaiya yawned and slowly stood, stretching out her tiny form as far as she could. She shook her body thoroughly to remove any water or ice that may have formed during her slumber. Slowly, she opened her eyes and took a look around the cave. Kuro was beginning to stir and apparently, Eriko was already awake. Either that or she had been awake the entire night. Surely, she had gotten some. Kaiya hoped so. It wouldn't be right for her to have spent the entire night looking out for them.
"Good morning, Eriko..." She said quietly, trying to use her paw to wipe water and sleep from her eyes. She felt stiff, most likely to her wound of the previous night. Although the wound itself seemed to have healed rather nicely. Obviously she could walk again. Maybe that would be enough for the three of them to get out of there. Today was the today. They would travel to...where ever it was that Eriko was to take them. Kaiya didn't mind too much. She was happy to be getting out of harm's way. She would certainly miss the frigid temperatures and frozen landscapes of the mountains though.
((Sorry about the wait! Graduation and all...))

((Don't worry. Congrats on graduating! ^^ I can't wait to graduate.))
Eriko barked out a laugh. "Good morning, Kaiya!" she exclaimed, moving closer to the young wolf. "How are you feeling today?" she asked. Kaiya certainly looked better; it seemed Eriko was right in thinking that food and a good night's sleep would help. (It was rare that Eriko was wrong, but she was quite worried about Kaiya and had begun to doubt herself.)
The flareon noticed Kuro sturring, and gave him a warm "Good morning!" before turning her attention back on Kaiya.

Kuro yawned, stretching his front legs out in front of him. His tail wagged from side to side as he noticed Eriko speaking to him. "Good morning..." he said quietly. Looking over, the wolf noticed that Kaiya seemed to be in better condition than she had been the previous night. Hopefully, she would continue to remain in such condition as they traveled that morning.
"So...when are we heading out?" he asked curiously. Eriko had said that they would be traveling that morning and making their way down the mountain. Kuro couldn't help but notice that Eriko seemed to be a little bit happy that morning. Maybe she had scouted the area already?

Eriko thought for a moment, thinking over Kuro's question. When could they leave? Eriko wasn't worried about much besides the journey itself--it could possibly be a long one for the two wolves. She didn't want them leaving when they weren't ready. (She did not fear enemies; the only enemy a canine has is another canine, and Eriko was not afraid of anything.)
"Hmm...whenever the two of you are ready, I suppose," she replied. Her head fell to the side slightly, looking at Kaiya. "Are you feeling alright?"
((Wow, it's been a while huh? Sorry about that. Band camp started and my director's a nazi.))

Kaiya rose slowly to her feet and shook slightly, removing moisture from her fur. She was a bit groggy from her rest. "I suppose I am feeling better. We can leave whenever the two of you are ready." she said happily, wagging her tail and drying it in the process. The wolf knew that the two of them had a long journey ahead of them. Kaiya could only hope that the two of them would be up for the task. After all, she had no doubt that Eriko would be alright during the trip. The two of them might have a bit more difficulty.

Eriko barked out a laugh. "Well! It seems we're all ready, then!" She stretched slightly, mouth opening wide in a yawn. She then shook her head, as if to wake herself up. "Okay. Let me warn you; it'll be a long journey. We want to head to the West Savannahs. It's a popular place for packs, and we might find your families. Hey, maybe I'll find my family," she explained, a wolfish grin forming towards the end.

Kuro nodded and padded towards the entrace of the cave. "Then, I suppose we had better head out then." he said, wagging his tail. The wolf was far more nervous than he appeared. He didn't want Kaiya to worry or feel any need to be insecure. After all, he was supposed to be brave! "About how long do you think it will take us to reach our destinatin Eriko?" he asked curiously.

Eriko paused and thought for a moment. "Hm...I'm not sure. It really depends, I guess," she replied, looking over at the pup. "We could go straight there, or we could explore some. It's reall up to the two of you; I've seen most places in Erymire." She wasn't sure how much of the world the two have seen, and was willing to explore if they wanted to.
"If we went straight there, it would only take a few days."

Kaiya's ears perked up immediately at the word "explore." The femme had an insatiable thirst for adventure. She would be overjoyed to look around the mountains and see more of what they had to offer, without being attacked by other pokemon. "Could we look around a bit?" she asked curiously, her eyes glowing with excitement. Kaiya gazed nervously between the two of them, unsure of whether or not the two of them would be interesting in exploring with her. Maybe the two of them simply wanted to go straight to their destination. The small white wolf hadn't thought of that and suddenly felt bad for being so insensitive.
