After along time in Elyssia, Rayzor had finally set foot, er, tail on land again. He smiled, looking round at the great lake, though the reason he came was not a happy one. Though he could not place what it was, he knew something was wrong in Erymire. There was obviously the rebellion fighting the Horde but that wasn't it. Maybe the fact the Crusade was being formed was making him uneasy. No, impossible, there were some good Pokemon in that group. They wouldn't put themselves in danger. Well whatever it was, he would soon find out.
Sooner than he thought. A furry of blue flames announced the arrival of Kuro. The dark Moltres anded on a tree branch near the Guardian and stood up straight as though he was very important. "Hello. What brings you here, Kuro?" Rayzor asked, without having asked the bird its name. Kuro's regal posture was lost as he cringed. "You two have so got to stop doing that!" he said. "I do appologise," Rayzor replied, laughing. Kuro growled and snapped his beak. "Anyway Rayzor," he said, impatiently. "I have a message for you." He sat up straight again and dimmed his flames for effect. "Zilla's back! There's a killer and she's coming after you! So watch out 'Guardian'!" And with that the black bird flew away, back to Zilla having delivered the message. He thought quickly of leaving her and going back to his nest, but fear was flapping his wings in the direction of the Forrtress.
Rayzor was silent for a few minutes. After that, he shot a hyper beam into the air, alerting anyone in Erymire of his whereabouts. He needed to tak to his allies, and fast!

Alcatraz saw the hyperbeam's flash. His psychic side told him that it meant something. He saw that things were a little chaotic in his alcove, but he could not afford to ignore this message. He teleported to where Rayzor was...and stared. "You sent the signal?" asked the aruseus, standing a distance away from him.

Verrou was taking a stroll around Erymire to take his mind off of his brother. He was unsuccessful. Everything reminded him of Spark. Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted as he heard a deafening hyper beam cut through the sky. "What the hell was that?" said the luxio to himself as he rushed to the source. He gazed in awe as he witnessed the unusual appearance of a rayquaza.

Kiyoshi ran up to Rayzor. "My friend," she said, slightly out of breath. "I saw the beam and came as fast as I could," she told him, regaining her composure. "Are you alright?" she asked.

Rayzor would normally have smiled at seeing his friends, but there were unavoidable problems at the moment. "Kiyoshi, Alcatrez, thank you for responding so quickly," he said, politely. "I have just recieved word of a threat to Erymire. Another Rayquaza, like me. Her name is Zilla and belief me, she can cause a lot of trouble. We need to get her away before she forms any allies. I know her wel though I do not doubt upon finding me she will attack so I will be of little use to you for anything other than bait."He sighed, saddly. His own daughter, turned against him like this... But it was no time to be sad. "Action must be taken."

"I'll help in any way I can," said Alcatraz. "Where is she now and what is she up to? Do you know much about what her powers are?"

Huzza stepped out of the forest and out onto the lakeshore, still sporting various bloody cuts on his body from the razor leaf attack earlier. A few flies buzzed around him, attracted by the scent of drying blood. Huzza felt the wounds, but they looked worse than they really were. He was used to getting hurt in battles because he couldn't really dodge anything.
He saw Alcatraz there and his face and lights brightened with recognition. "Alca! There been lotsa fightin' an' whole lotta bad stuffs goin' down in yurr alcove home thingy."
Alcatraz gasped when he saw Huzza with all the blood on him. "Great Pokegods, what happened?!"

"The prisoners happened," said Veneno.
"You guys again!" said Verrou.

ooc: We should keep this thread slow enough that Jespeon and Clif don't get buried. Especially since they started it!
ic: "Oh, no. As soon as I leave, too," said Alcatraz. "How many dead? Is...is anyone...?"
"Only them bad pokees done died, an' one 'cause Huzza goed an' fell on 'is sorry carcass," said the Dennukai ram.

(Lol, yes please, slowly)
Rayzor watched the new comers, waiting till Alcatrez was silent. "Alcatrez. What has happened?" he asked, unaware of this current problem. He sighed. "Erymire is in dark times my friend. The Horde is rising, Zilla has returned, and obviously your friends are getting hurt too." He curled his tail round him and sat back, allowing the Arceus to talk to his compainions. "Kiyoshi, will you come here a moment?" he asked.

"What's happened is that we sprung out a group of prisoners from the Horde, some of them apparently are full of the darkness and have turned on us," said Alcatraz. "About the Horde--we should strike this menace at its source. The Shadow Lord. and this time, do it so as to ensure the Shadow Lord is gone for good."

"That's not going to be easy," said Veneno, "Chancol is tough. To sweeten the deal, he has millions of pokemon who will fight tooth and nail to defend him."

|

"Not millions," said Alcatraz. "There are many in the Horde, many hundreds, but not millions. I've already tried to get in there with a plan to catch him unguarded and it failed. Is Chancol the name of the new Shadow Lord?"

"Chancol, the green charmeleon," replied Veneno, "He is the one who commanded us."

Alcatraz looked at Veneno. "That would probably make him the shadow lord, then."

Veneno nodded, "He commands the entire fortress. No one dared breathe before consulting him."

"At least we know who it is, and you'd be able to recognise him on sight," said Alcatraz. "Do you think he knows you left the Horde, or are there so many of them, and he doesn't really work closely with that many underlings, that you'd not be missed?"

"Doubtfully so," replied Veneno, "I was the highest ranked guard in my sector, but the Horde is so diverse."

Rayzor looked back at Alcatrez and Veneno. "According to Kuro, Chancol is a 'moss-covered lizzard who couldn't rule a piece of grass'. Lovely metaphor from Kuro there, but I wouldn't totally believe what he thinks. He's never been exactly trustworthy," Rayzor said. He couldn't help smiling as he remembered how Kuro had reacted when he realised Rayzor could read minds too. "As for killing him, don't you think thats a bit drastic Alcatrez? I know he may have caused probems but no more than Amira and she eft herself. For all we know, he could be shadowed. He may not be as bad as you think. And even if he is, you shoudn't kill him. Evil is only an opinion, and opinions can be changed."

"I'm going to have to disagree with you, there," replied Veneno, "There's an evil force. It overshadows the minds of the pokemon. It consumes their very souls."

"There is something more than just shadowing that affects the Shadow Lord," said Alcatraz. "And by kill, I really mean that the spirit inhabiting him and giving him shadow powers must be destroyed. It must be somehow lured out of him. The last time I killed the shadow lord, all that that spirit did was simply find another body. That would be Chancol's. We have to attack this spirit where it hurts. Unfortunately. I do not know how to destroy it or even if it can be destroyed. But I can tell you what it probably is, because I have faced others of its kind in the past. A long time ago now. It is one of the Amurai, and it is an ancient and formidable power of detruction and evil."

Rayzor nodded. "I see. Though I stand by my point that violence should be avoided as much as possible. Erymire definately does not need a war right now. And we need to keep Zilla away from the Horde at all costs. She can cause a lot of probems if she wants to..." he said, trailing off at the end. His head snapped up at this point as he looked to the sky above the Fortress. A torrent of black flames was ripping through the sky. "We may be too late. Zilla is at the Horde aready, thats her signature move, as mine is my white hyper beam," he said and turned to Alcatrez.

"Probably trying to overtake the Shadow Lord," said Alcatraz, "not fully understanding what it really is. The Amurai are extremely powerful demons. When one of them inhabits a body, they render it nearly immortal. A body does not age while host to an Amurai, and is extremely difficult to kill. They can heal from practically any wound short of something extreme like decapitation. Nevertheless, even if you manage to kill the body, all the Amurai does is find a new one."

"Perhaps some form of exorcism would suffice," suggested Verrou.
"I don't know," replied Veneno, "I'm sure Chancol would find a way out of it."

"Exorcism of the highest type," said Alcatraz. "I have never successfully done it myself. I have killed the bodies a couple of times, but like I said, that never accomplished anything permanently. I won the battle but not the war. They can just come back. I did learn from somewhere that the most effective way known to deal with an Amurai is to seal it in a kind of enchanted vessel, like an amulet or stone or something. This object traps the amurai as long as there is a pokemon nearby it to keep it bound within the object. The most effective way to do this is to make the vessel be a wearable object. Then, someone with a very powerful soul must wear the object, and keep it bound within. However, the amurai takes some measure of residence inside whichever pokemon wears the vessel. It's not a flawless solution, but it is one way to deal with an amurai until a more effective solution is found."

"It does not need to be someone strong of body--though the stronger the better--so much as strong of will and soul, confident and not susceptible to dark and doubting moods," said Alcatraz. "Someone able to resist the temptations that an Amurai will lay on them thickly. Amurai are masters of manipulation and once they realise they are imprisoned inside one particular pokemon, they will do anything to take over that pokemon's mind, that or get the pokemon killed--because if the pokemon is killed, the amurai has a good chance of slipping free of the vessel. Then it can wander anywhere it wishes in search of a new victim."

Rayzor listened carefully. Acatrez new more about the Shadowlord and this 'Amurai' than he did, though that wasn't much of a surprise, seeing as he faced it daily. Rayzor was in the air most of the time, only emerging when there was trouble. And this definatly seemed to be trouble.
"I'll do it," he said, calmly. "Alcatrez, if you can trap this Amurai, I will wear the object it is imprizoned in." He knew he was taking a risk here and didn't even know if Alcatrez would let him, but Rayzor was strong of soul and he could deal with this. Well, thats what he thought.

"Yes," said Alcatraz. "I can do my best, however, whoever traps the amurai has to be wearing the vessel at the time. It will be one and the same pokemon. I can, or you can...but whoever does will be affected and tempted daily by the Amurai within." He paused. "I'm not sure of the name of this Amurai, but they each have a name. It helps to know this name when you are trying to trap them. First, we will need to find a suitable vessel though."
