Crusader HQ

[Pidgey]

Tucked away into the caverns of the Western mountains, the location of this headquarters is known only by Crusaders. The remote location was chosen for it's secrecy, and offers safety from discovery by agents of The Horde.

Just as The Horde is the presence of evil in the lands of Erymire, The Crusade is the force of good, fighting to bring the light of justice to Erymire.

This night, the full moon is riding high. This will be the night of the first official Crusade meeting.

The leader of The Crusade, a Staraptor by the name of Warbeak, perches on an outcropping of rock overlooking the floor of the cavern below, where several pokemon have gathered. They are all whispering excitedly among themselves, wondering why the General has gathered them this night; what he could be planning. They all fall silent at his approach, waiting for him to speak. But Warbeak will wait until he's certain everyone has arrived.

[Ren]

An espeon walked up to the cave and stopped at the entrance. He had heard a little about the Crusaders, and was actually going to join, if they'd have him. He wanted to do all he could for Erymire; anything to keep his home safe. Glancing around, he walked in quietly and sat at the back, making sure that he would still be able to hear the Leader speak.

[Steven]

Max sat in the crowd of Pokemon. He thought about what was going to happen he was busy sitting there staring around the caverns to pass the time, when he saw the General approach he immeditaly fixed his gaze on the Staraptor he was mighty even to an Jolteon like himself. Most of the time when he saw him he tremebled in fear. Firmly planted on the ground he dared not make a sound till things got started.

[Omega]

The whispers of the pokemon were broken as a flygon made his way to the general, "Captain Avion, coming through!" He stopped in front of the general, "Quiet down, let the general speak!"

A purple-plumed Pidgey softy sailed on the breezes and landed on a rock jutting from the side of the cave. Tucking her feet beneath her, she settled on the rock, waiting for the Staraptor to speak.

[Starrunner]

Moondancer, the espeon, sat wait for her leader to speak. She was a general, but she still had to mind her leader.

Lavender looked at the ranking pokemon enviously. Ima gonna be a captain! she thought happily, But by then, I'm gonna be a Pigeotto! and nothing made her happier than thoughts of her evolution... well, besides freeing Erymire of the Horde.

[Starrunner]

Moondancer looked at the little purple bird with interest.

[Steven]

Max yawned. The young Jolteon was watching the Pokemon that appeared in the cave, he wondered if any other Pokemon had found out about the Crusade and planned on joining. For him it would be fun to have Pokemon under him in the ranks. Max yawned again and curled up on the floor keeping his eye on the General incase he started to speak his important words.

[Pidgey]

The General watched as more Pokemon filed into the cavern, and took their places among the ranks of the Crusaders. It pleased him to see such a great turn out; with this fine assortment of soldiers, the Crusade would bring the Horde to its knees.

Even though he was confident, Warbeak wasn't a fool. He knew that the Crusade was still in it's infancy, and at this stage it was in no position to challenge the Horde. There would have to be a period of hard training before they took on their first mission.

Once he was satisfied that all members were accounted for, the General cleared his throat to speak. "Brothers and sisters, thank you for being here this night." He began, his booming voice drowning out the whispers of the crowd. When all eyes were on him, and he continued. "This night marks the birth of our cause, the great Crusade. A cause that would surely fail, without all of you. You should all be very proud for committing to something greater than yourselves."

"Throughout the lands of Erymire, innocent Pokemon are falling victim to the vile deeds of the Horde. Every day, the evil of the Horde grows stronger, and hope for freedom and justice is dying. Our mission as freedom fighters is to defeat the Horde, and free the lands of Erymire once and for all." Warbeak paused as he looked from face to face, letting his words sink in.

[Omega]

"My liege," said Avion, "The Crusade is still young. The Horde is mature and powerful. What can we do to stop them?"

Lavender sat, letting her eyes close to slits. The words rang within her mind, causing her heart to swell with pride that she was a part of this, even as a weak little Pidgey. She knew she was going to train as hard as she could, even if it drove her to the brink of poor health, but that'd be her only boundary. She would try to help as much as she could in the meantime.

[Starrunner]

"You are right my leige, and I thank you for permoting me to general." Moondancer said, bowing to the great bird.

[†Grovyle†]

Minx out of the spot he was hiding in, still scared and shocked in fear. " I-I wish to oppose the H-Horde as well!" He finally spoke up and walked up to the General. "I wish to be part of the crusade!" He stood high and nimble, his blade ontop of his head leaning a bit.

[†Grovyle†]

Minx decided to leave and come back later to see his answer.
"I'll be back..."
He walked away into the other forest.

[Steven]

As General Warbeak spoke Max rose up to listen to his leader. He was proud to be apart of such a good organazation, he hoped they all would be able to work together and bring down the Horde. He turned his head and noticed Minx who had came and left quickly. Max blinked, he thought of the Crusade to be too much of a respectful organaztion for somebody to run in ask to join and leave. He shook the thoughts of his mind and turned his attention back to the General.

Very quietly, Lavender began to click her beak, a sign of disproval from her. She had mentally directed it at Minx, who she believed had no right to approach General Warbeak in the middle of this... rally. She shook her head, focusing on what the General had to say.

[Starrunner]

Moondancers eyes flashed with pride as her leader spoke.

[Pidgey]

The General tilted his head and gave a questioning look to Minx's retreating back. If he wanted to join the Crusade so badly, why was he leaving at such a vital point in the briefing? Warbeak just pushed his questions aside. He had other things to focus on right now. If that little Pokemon truly wanted to join, then he'd return on his own.

He cleared his throat and continued speaking. "Now, in order to challenge the forces of the Horde, our own forces will need to grow, and become stronger. Your first mission as Crusaders is to rally more Pokemon to our cause. Spread the word, the Horde is going to fall!" He declared. "On the night of the New Moon, about a month from now, we will be storming the fortress, and freeing as many Pokemon as we can. You have until then to prepare yourselves."

Lavender nodded to herself. If she was to help in any way of attacking the Horde and Fortress, she'd have to evolve... and quickly. She wasa already anticipating training and waited for the signal from General Warbeak for the Crusade's rally/meeting to be adjourned.

[Maru]

Putty walks into the cavern and says "hi im putty and i would like to join"

[Patch]

A soft rustling slither noise could be heard from the entrance. Yes, that's right; Solette had arrived! Late. Probably not a very good first impression, but she was there wasn't she? And it wasn't her fault she had been notified of the meeting slightly late, right?

With a flick of her pink-colored head, she let all of those thoughts slip from her mind. She would have to pay attention to the General. And she was late as it was, she couldn't just sit there all lost in her thoughts. Time to pay attention!

[Ren]

The espeon, Auron, smiled at the Leader. He could feel something good coming from this. Maybe they would finally end the reign of the Horde.

He smiled at the late-coming Solette. "Better late than never," he whispered godd naturedly.

[Pidgey]

"Consider yourself on board, brother." (If Putty is a girl. just pretend it says sister. I wasn't sure.) Warbeak replied, nodding his head at the Chimchar.

"This briefing is now adjourned." He said aloud to the other Pokemon. "But I expect you will use the next few weeks wisely, and prepare. This will be no easy feat." He wanted to make sure everyone understood the need to be prepared. The Horde was not to be underestimated. "If any of you locate new recruits, please bring them here so that I may meet with them. Now, are there any questions?"

[Omega]

Avion acknowledged what Warbeak had said. "General, what is our campaign? How will we attack?"

[†Grovyle†]

Minx came back quickly with a bunch of berries. "I got these for everyone....though I did have to fight a couple of Primeapes along the way." He scattered the berries everywhere on the floor. "I'm guessing I'm in though......I left because I was hungry and can't concentrate on an empty stomach."" He began to eat 5 berries. "C'mon eat em' before I do!"

[Steven]

Max listened carefully as the General spoke, taking every word that the Staraptor said into consideration. Max sighed I got to get to serious training by the New moon. he thought. As he listened to the general and waited for things to get cleared up he turned his head to see Minx. He wondered why had this Pokemon keep showing up, how he wanted to teach the Pokemon a lesson about talking during a meeting. Max snarled and turned his attention back into the Crusade waiting to see if the General had anything eles to say.

Lavender perked up at hearing the meeting adjourned. She stretched, rubbing her beak at an itch in her pale lavender flight feathers. Suddenly bobbing up her head, she remembered a question she had thought of during the mighty Warbeak's speech. She flew foreward and stopped about 5 feet from the General. "Um, General Warbeak, sir?" she chirped, wings flapping to keep her aloft, "I just have a quick question... If we are to attack on the New Moon, when will we meet before if we are gonna plan 'n prepare?"

[Starrunner]

"Yes, general Warbeak, May I have a private word with you?" capitain moondancer asked, walking to sit next to her leader.

Rhyme emerged from behind Warbeak, nodding to another Captain, Moondancer, as she proceeded to look over the ledge the General had been speaking from. She watched over the leaving Pokemon, making sure each escaped without detection by others.
