Memi walked slowly, flinching at every step, toward Healing Haven where he'd be healed of a rather deep cut he'd gotten from wandering around. The gash was bleeding still and Memi had tried to roll around on the grass to make it stop but it didn't work all that well. Not wanting to get babied by his mother he began a long, painful, treacherous journey toward the Healing Haven. Memi saw a butterfly in the air and, not having a single thought about his paw, jumped up and swiped the little thing. It just moved, which he'd knew it would from the start, but as he landed on the hard ground his left paw seared with pain and he hollered out scaring a small Taillow away from a tree.
Memi, flinching worse now, decided that jumping was bad and he should just go straight to the healing haven. Finally, after what seemed like hours, he made it there and dipped his paw into the healing water, sighing, as it healed the cut slowly but noticeably. It felt rather nice to have his cut healed so quickly but it was slightly disturbing that something so unnatural happened.

A freak of pokemon-a riolu-pichu, mind you- wandered mindlessly around. Considering that this one had been wandering for about an hour, you’d think he’d be worn out and ready to lay down. But, nope. He was energetic and as lively as a pichu. It was probably in his genes. Renara had been wandering towards Healing Haven for no particular reason; he wasn’t injured or anything. Just bored. Plus, he liked seeing all the healing pokemon. They made him smile.
Suddenly, a shout. Holler. Scream. Yell. Whatever you’d call it. Renara immediately stopped in his tracks. The riolu with a few pichu features as aroused by great curiosity has he strode to where he heard the cry of pain. Once he got to the said source of the pain, no one was there. Odd, Renara’s large, diamond-shaped ears never lied to him. May be he as just hearing things.
So, the riolu-pichu hybrid continued on his merry way to Healing Haven. He hummed a little tune to himself until he reached the wonderful waters of Healing Haven. He began to waltz over to his favorite spot to find a…vulpix? From the looks of it, the other pokemon had its paw in the wonderful waters and was probably injured before.
Well, whatever. Renara sat down next to the fox pokemon and looked into the waters. Now was the hard part: Saying ‘hi’. Darn Renara and his timidity…darn it all.
“H-Hello,” he managed to stammer, glancing at the vulpix then staring back down into the water.

Memi relaxed, letting his guard down, as his paw was nearly all the way healed. Normally he'd have thought his wound was healed enough and he'd be catching some bugs by now but he decided if his mother saw even the slightest showing of a cut she'd know what he had done. Sighing once more Memi's sensitive ears picked up the sound of somebody beginning to talk and he twitched his head back, much harder than just turning around a little, and looked at the other pokemon. Memi hadn't seen this kind of pokemon before. "Hi!" Memi said his curious nature and personality that jumped out getting the best of what he'd do without having those. He was only pokemon, though. "I got cut but don't tell my mom. She'd get all sappy and stuff." Memi said worried that his mother might find out about it after all. Taking his paw out of the water and then shaking it a little, Memi turned his entire body toward the new fellow his head cocked a little to the right.

Renara almost jumped once the other pokemon greeted him back. Not expected. The hybrid looked back the vulpix who was now standing. Was it him, or was there a golden collar of fur around this vulpix’s fur? Renara kind of wished he had a gold fur collar instead of big, floppy pichu ears. But, he did not let his envy show. Instead, he stood up as well and before he could say anything, the vulpix advised Renara to squeal to the vulpix’s mother.
That had to be the most random statement Renara had heard all day. “Um…I can’t tell your mom because I don’t know her…” Renara humbly added. Hey it seemed logical: How can you tell on someone you don’t know to someone you don’t know? Wait, that question made little sense. But, Renara shook his head and continued,
“But, you should be grateful that your mom worries. It’s a sign that she cares.”
People, keep in mind that this was coming from a co-dependant pokemon. Thus, in his opinion, help is valued much more than any gem in the world; more than the world itself. Renara winced at his own statement. He would probably be made fun of for a statement like that.

; The Vulpix frowned when he realized the pokemon was right. At least that settled that. The other pokemon was talking about how Memi should be happy that his mom was worried and Memi realized the pokemon had it all wrong. "I'm happy she does it's just.. I don't like her getting all worked up about nothing.." Memi said as a butterfly flew up in the air above the other pokemon and, pure instinct kicking in, Memi jumped up and caught the butterfly then realesed it falling right by the pokemon. Standing up, a lump on his paw, he stumbled to the water growling at himself.
"Sorry.... Anyway, would you want to walk with me? We could try to catch butterflies or something!" Memi said watching as the lump disappeared and he stepped out again. Something was on Meimi's ear and he didn't like it. Sitting on his bottom and back paws he swatted his ear with his front paw and found a little bug in his hair and set it on the ground, getting back on all fours wondering what the other pokemon would say to his offer.

"I'm happy she does it's just.. I don't like her getting all worked up about nothing.."
“Well, I guess when you put it like that…” Renara trailed off, putting his left hand-paw to his chin in thought. He barely noticed the butterfly, but almost flinched when the vulpix landed right next to the riolu-pichu. Instead, Renara stumbled back a bit and watched the vulpix grumble and go towards the water again.
"Sorry.... Anyway, would you want to walk with me? We could try to catch butterflies or something!"
“Um…okay, I guess,” Renara shrugged. He wasn’t all for catching butterflies but a walk sounded nice. It was even better with company. The riolu-pichu stretched and was about to head off in any direction, expecting the vulpix to follow when he realized he had forgotten to ask the most important question asked when meeting with someone. Okay, more like the most common.
Slowly, Renara turned around and with a shy expression on his face asked “What was your name? You can call me Renara…” Oh, how he wanted to swallow those last four words. You can call me Renara… Ugh, Renara. That was a girl name, so why was it given to him? Oh yeah. His parents were expecting a girl and had that name planned out from the beginning. So when the riolu-pichu was born, no alternatives for a BOY. No. They gave him a GIRL name because they thought they were having a GIRL but got a BOY instead.

Sorrel padded toward the waters. He had a nasty cut on one of his tails from waving it a bit too much into a thorny bush. He could see the blood now on the blue tip. Wincing he dipped his tail into the water and looked around. Noticing two Pokemon he waved, smiling gently. Starting over, Sorrel tripped. Not over air of course, but over a large rock.
"Woahhhh!" he cried, waving his paws in circles before falling haunches first into the pool. The sharp pain in his rump was numbing in the healing water that rose to his waist. Closing his blue eyes he chuckled, then throwing back his ruby furred head Sorrel laughed out loud bracing himself with his paws. Sorrel liked to laugh at himself, it took the edge off when he was clumsy. Getting up slowly he looked around for the two Pokemon he had seen earlier

Memi rolled around in the dirt for no reason as the pokemon replied to him and sat up shaking to get the dirt off, looking like a dog out of water. Then Renara, a name Memi had never heard and thought it sounded like a dragon pokemon name, asked him what his name was. "My name is Memi! It sounds kind of weird but your name sounds cool like a big dragon pokemon name!" memi said as he noticed another pokemon who was sitting in the water. memi wondered if it was some hot water and trotted over to the water sitting in it. Jumping out of the water Memi howled in discomfort at the water that seemed cold to him.
"How can you sit in that!?" Memi asked trying to get the water out of his fur. Shake, Shake, Shake. Water was everywhere and on everybody now. Oh well. Sitting on his two back legs and his bottom again, Memi pawed his left ear playfully. He didn't know why but it was just fun to sit like that and to paw the ear. "What's your name!?" Memi asked energetically as he got on all fours and began running around in circles.

"My name is Memi! It sounds kind of weird but your name sounds cool like a big dragon pokemon name!"
Renara blinked a couple times, trying to process the compliment through his brain. Was his name just called cool? It often sounded so feminine, to him and to everyone else. But, it was a compliment, and compliments should be taken and appreciated.
“Thanks, Memi,” Renara replied with a grateful smile. “It’s nice to me…”
The pokemon hybrid couldn’t even finish his sentence when another pokemon had fallen over and splashed into the waters of Healing Haven. Curiously, Memi had eagerly trotted over and sit in the water. Renara face palmed. As humble as the hybrid was, even he had to admit that was a somewhat stupid idea. Well, the waters were different here, so…
Wait, never mind. Memi jumped out of the water howling and trying to desperately shake off the water. Sadly, Renara hadn’t been standing too far so he was soaked in the water as well. Renara only stood there, twitching, before he shook off the water so that it landed on the grass and ground around him.
He watched Memi prance and sit and roll on the grass while excitedly greeting the stranger pokemon. Renara sighed quietly with a small smile on his face and walked over.
“Hello,” he greeted quietly.

Sorrel blocked the water, shaking it back into the pool as he climbed out. The buizel smiled at the vulpix. "The name's Sorrel, and I'm used to cold water." He shrugged, wringing water from his newly healed tail. "I'm a buizel so I don't notice most temperatures of water." He turned to the blue Pokemon and gave it a smile. Addressing both Pokemon at once Sorrel said "Might I ask both your names?"
This seemed like a good place to settle. Not at the healing springs necessarily, but in the area. It would be good to use the waters, and maybe there was other water nearby. Shade was good, and it didn't seem to get too hot. Surely there were berry bushes some were, or an apple tree or two. Nodding his head Sorrel decided. This would be his new home

"Lucky." mumbled Memi as he looked at Sorrel, his head twitched slightly to the side. It was a interesting name and Memi thought it seemed like the kind of name for a buizel. "I'm Memi and I'm a Vulpix so I don't like cold water..." Memi said shivering just at the thought of having been in the cold water. How ANY pokemon was able to just sit in water like that was something Memi found very difficult to imagine as it seemed you might freeze to death. Memi got on all fours and began running around for no reason. Certainly a energetic one Memi was.
He didn't know what to think of these two so far. They seemed pretty nice but he was never too careful about how he was around other pokemon, especially a pokemon that could use water techniques. That made him a little nervous. Most of his energy was not even being displayed as that was just a little bit of him being giddy around them. He didn't know much about Renara so he seemed alright but a Buizel might already know a water attack and Memi didn't like that much. He was right next to a pool of healing but..

Renara waved a paw. “Hello, Sorrel, you can just call me Renara.” This time, he said his name with a lot more confidence thanks to Memi’s compliment. Apparently, Sorrel was a buizel, so he had no trouble with cold water. Well, common sense could have told anyone that. On the other hand, Memi was a vulpix, so it was a surprise the fire-type fox pokemon even liked water in general..
…
Would Renara have any trouble with cold water? Probably….shoot, he might have trouble with water in general. After all, he was part electric type, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if he and water wouldn’t get along too well. Hmm, but on the other hand…this was going to need some thinking. Renara then shrugged and stepped back for Memi was running in circles…again. Was there something wrong with this pokemon?
That fact that he couldn’t sit still was mildly annoying to Renara, and…was the hybrid having a personality change again? Renara face palmed. Perfect. Just what he needed, to change personalities at a time like this.

(es back)
Sorrel chuckled at the vulpix. "Certianley energetic arn't you Memi?" He didn't mind someone being hyper, or solum, as long as they liked who they were. He turned to Renara with a kind eye. "Wonderful name, suits you well. " He looked him over once more, "Not that I'm one to talk Ren, but you must be a hybrid right?" Gesturing to his red coat, Sorrel added quickley, "I hope you don't mind me calling you Ren?"
Watching the vulpix was making Sorrel dizzy, and he wondered how Memi felt. Shrugging it off Sorrel told her, "Well being a fire pokemon as you are I don't expect you to really like water, cold or otherwise."
