The Wanderer {Open}

From within the green grasses of the meadows, a dark, cat-like pokemon was preparing to pounce, a Ratatta in her sights. Jumping, then spewing a controlled flamethrower as not to burn the meadows, the Flaycat dispatched of her prey, finishing it to the bone. After eating, she lazily cleaned the blood from her maw, then turning, as she had thought she had heard a shuffle in the grass.

Travis, a small Zigzagoon with unusual blue eyes, was slinking through the grass. He was scared out of his wits, and for good reason, too. Not long before, he had been chased for quite a long distance by some big...thing. He wasn't quite sure what it had been, he had been running away, so how was he supposed to know what it had look like? He just knew it had some really sharp fangs and claws, and that it had scratched his back pretty deeply...He could feel some blood tricking down his side.

At any rate, he wasn't feeling especially confident or social when he saw the Flaycat. Especially when he saw it with blood on its muzzle. Oh Lord, was it going to eat him next? He wasn't about to take any chances! He carefully moved through the grass, which was pretty tall, especially to the short Zigzagoon, so that the wind wouldn't blow his scent to the Flaycat. Then he settled down, shivering slightly in fear. Great, this was all just his luck.

Yuna looked about, still hearing shuffling in the grass. Awww... I hope I didn't scare them off... OOH!! I got it!! Hide 'n' seek!! she thought. "Okie... whoever you are.. we's gonna play some hide 'n' seek! Ima gonna seek fist, okie? Okie! One.. two... three... Yuna called, eagerly anticipating her meeting with the hiderer of their game.

[Patch]

Hide and seek? Travis thought, confused. That didn't make sense. If they were dangerous, or were going to eat him, why would they want to play first? Maybe they weren't going to hurt him. Might as well just stay still and let them find him, then. It might be fun to be with another Pokemon after so long alone.

Yuna, after counting to about 25, opened her eyes and began to pounce playfully through the grass. She noticed a shuffling patch of grass, no wind as far as she could tell. Crouching, she pounced upon the patch and....



...her playmate wasn't there. "Awwww!!" she moaned, in a fake dramatic tone.

Putty rushes through the tall grass trying not to catch it on fire when he smells Blood

Feeling a sudden surge of triumph, Travis couldn't help but jump to his paws.

"Hah! You missed!" He burst out, before thinking. When he saw his playmate, though, his eyes widened a bit and he turned red. Perhaps he shouldn't taunt them. They could eat him. But no, she had been nice. It was ok to trust them, right?

His naive nature won through, and he stepped closer, zig-zagging as he walked as everyone of his species did. His bushy tail wagged a bit, and he smiled, blue eyes shining.

"Hello, I'm Travis, but you can call me Trav if you want. Lots of Pokemon do."

"Hiya! I'm Yuna." the Flaycat said, smiling as she absorbed the sun to her back. "So.... watcha doin' here?"

[BH, Dreamer, & Ifirit]

BH the Sneasel was sliding through the tall grass. He was trying to find an opponent for his everlasting quest of getting stronger.
His ears perked up when he heard some laughter and talking. He ran on to where he heard the noise. He came upon a Zigzag rodent looking pokemon and a brown cat.

He hid silently down in the tall grass and watched them from a distance.

Yuna looked, her acute hearing picking up a movement in the grass. "Helloooo...?" she called, hoping the new arrival would come out and play with her and Travis.

[BH, Dreamer, & Ifirit]

He was noticed so he backed up slowly. He then took off and ran around them to the other side leaving noises in random places to throw them off.

He then stopped and crouched down again to watch the results.

Yuna... The name flickered through Travis' mind, and he felt his face get even more red. He wasn't good at this 'socializing' stuff. Not at all.

"I, um...I really don't know. I've been wandering lately."

His ears pricked at the sounds from in the grass, and he looked about, curious as to who was there.

"Oh... Me too!.. kinda." Yuna related. hearing the random shuffling noises she sighed, getting an odd, twitchy feeling in her whole body. Although she couldn't see it, her ears began to blacken, from tip to base, with some stripes appearing on her back.

(ooc: Don't worry guys, she's just evolving. ^_^)

BH was surprised by the sudden change in the brown cats form. He was worried so he started to back up a good ways. He stood up a little to get a good view when he was far enough back.

Yamato was walking slowly through the grass, remaining vigilant for any other pokemon.

I know I felt them...So where are they?

Oh, I hope they're nice. It's been so long since I've seen anyone...

The Riolu followed his senses to where he felt another life form. In the distance in front of him, he saw a Sneasel emerge from the grass. Although he wasn't facing Yamato, the Riolu still was slightly frightened.

Oh no...they can probably sense my aura now...I have to learn to control my emotions better...

Yamato tried to meditate briefly so that his emanating aura wouldn't be as noticable.

[BH, Dreamer, & Ifirit]

((Hey Loney wuts up? Could it be luck you happened into me here? lol))

BH suddenly felt another presence and a set of eyes on him. He turned and met the eyes of a Riolu. He ducked back down a took off back farther. Now he couldn't see what was happening to the other pokemon but he had to get back. There were to many now and he would be overpowered.

I have to take them out one at a time if I'm going to do this he thought to himself.

He was now behind the Riolu as fast as he had ducked down. He stayed down though and moving bit by bit to the sides because he knew that Riolus had a bit of the power of aura so he would be able to sense him well.

[Patch]

Travis' eyes widened as his acquantance begasn to change. Evoluton... He thought, amazed. But just as the thought crossed his mind, he heard more rustling in the grass. Who was watching them? Were they going to hurt them?

Yuna, by now, had totally changed. Her ears were now dark black, stripes fell down her back with rings on her tail and legs. Her voice, now slightly more mature and icier, called out to those hiding from her and Travis. "You! You who are hiding! You'd better come out right now and show yourself or leave. If you don't? Well...." she chuckled, admiring her now longer fangs and claws, "You'll wish you'd never been born..."

Yamato was a logical thinker, and he was fully aware of his place among these stronger Pokemon. Holding his paws up high, he slowly walked through the grass to where Yuna and Travis were.

"There is no need to be so belligerent," Yamato said calmly. "I mean no harm to any of you."

After making his gesture, he put his arms down at his sides again.

"I am called Yamato."

Yuna nodded to Yamato, saying, 'I mean you no harm, now that you've revealed yourself. Who is the other one out there?" she asked, refering to BH.

[Patch]

Travis wasn't sure what exactly to say, if anything. He sat down, eyes wide with interest as he watched the others talk.

Yuna caught the scent of an ice pokemon in the air. "You! Icy!" she snarled, "Come out now, unless you want me burning the meadows to noothing..." she smirked.

[BH, Dreamer, & Ifirit]

BH smirked at the cats remarks and stayed where he was hunched down in the tall grass.

He had no need to make friends with other pokemon like the Riolu. He'd much rather get stronger for his master again. So he wanted to fight. But if you wanted to be a good hunting pokemon you wouldn't just run out attacking. You would stalk your prey. So thats what he continued to do.

"Travis, Yamato," Yuna growled with a kind tone, "You'd better get out of here or somethin', Icy's not comin' out so I may just burn him along with the meadows."

[BH, Dreamer, & Ifirit]

BH started running laps around them so no one could escape. He was running so fast that when he talked you could hear him all around you.

"Burn it if you like, its not my home." He laughed.

"Teh." the Flalynx spat, "Even if this isn't your home, fire spreads quickly when wind is added." she noted, feeling the brisk wind tuffle he fur as it began to heat from the inside of her body. Her immediate area felt as if it was about 100 degrees out, and that was just the beginning- she was toning it down as not to kill Yamato and Travis by heatstroke.

Yamato was feeling uncomfortable around the surrounding pokemon, so he decided to run as fast as he could out of sight and out of this thread forever.

BH simply laughed again.
He then backed up and stopped. He was back a few yards and he started to gather all his energy to get ready for an attack.
