Sni was walking through the lush vegetation and searching for food. There were berries in many of the trees but flying Pokemon circled above, waiting for a stupid bug to poke it's head through the leaves. Sni wanted to be fed, not be fed to birds. That didn't seem like a pleasant experience. He could imagine it already. Getting carried off by birds, dropped into a nest where lots of little beaks were waiting to take him apart. Sni shivered at the thought and continued crawling on. Eventually, he came to a low hanging branch that was full of berries. He crawled up the trunk of the tree and crawled along the branch. When he reached the end of the branch he dipped his head forward and began to eat.

The foliage around these lands was plentiful, soft green grasses, blooming beauties. Tall trees around the outskirts that reached almost higher then an Onix standing upright. Flickering around the skies were other pokemon, and rustling around the depths were well.. other pokemon. Bird didn't know them all, just like others didn't know all of them either. You don't know every single tree, or every single bush, so how could you learn every single being in the wilderness around you? Even though Bird was rather smart, maybe slightly, very slightly, over average, she still didn't know them all.
The black stockings on her paws dispapeared in the long grasses, soft grey base of the coat only slightly rustled because of the rather small threads. She really didn't know where she was going, all she knew was that she was in a beautiful arena. Maroons were forward while the stockings on her paws finally reached over the tops of the grasses, just because she was taking such high steps now. Fluffy tail was curled over her back, the ends tipping the grey coat of hers. Her soft grey ears popped forward, and she stopped in her tracks. Her eyes grew wide as she spotted a Pokemon. It was a bug like one, chewing on some berries on a branch.
The Poochyena's eyes were up, watching the small creature eat its berries. She wondered if she could say hi, without disturbing its peaceful eating. She turned her maroon lanterns, eyes, away from the the creature and around the grass arena she was in, searching for a twig. Once it was found, she walked over to it. She glanced back at the creature, then down to the twig again. SHe lifted her black socked paw upward and down upon the twig, cracking it. She hopped the small creature would take this a greeting of somekind, and hopefully it would not get scared. Bird looked back up at the creature, wondering if it heard or not.

Sni heard the twig snap and his head went straight into the air. Was something following him? Slowly he turned around, cautious of whatever had broken the twig. It could have been anything, a flying Pokemon come down from the trees or a vicious land predator stalking her through the rainforest. He saw the poochyena standing there and stood still for a moment, trying to read the canine's expression. It seemed friendly enough, but he couldn't be sure. "Hello." he called down, not coming off of his branch. "What's your name" he added as not to be rude.

Bird blinked a few times, her maroon lanterns turning on and off for a few moments. She watched as the small creature made his cautionally attempt to find her, searching high and low and then finally let its eyes land upon her black and grey figure. Her tail, which had been curled atop her back, the hairs gently tickling the top of her spine, now was curled out, swaying with a begginning happiness. A new creature she has met, slightly. It had spotted her, yes, but was it friendly?
It spoke, the small creature made words come from its mouth. They were polite, kind in a way. The pooch liked this, making a friend with someone who wasn't into being mean. Bird smiled, her black lined lips reaching higher then they were set before.
"This ones name is Bird."
Her tail gently waved behind her, not picking up speed, and not slowing down. She wondered what the small creatures name was, was it polite to ask herself? Most likely it was, because if it was not, she would not have known.
"May Bird know what your name is?"

Sni wasn't sure why this "Bird" person was referring to herself in the third person perspective. He guessed that she had learnt like that from whoever had taught her to speak. He decided that Bird was friendly and crawled down from the branch. He had been lonely ever since his colony had left him. It would be good to have a friend. "My name is Sni. May I ask how you came to be in this place?" he said politely. He was interested in how fate led them to meet. And it was always nice to hear another person's story.

Bird blinked a few times as the creature weaved its way down the side of the tree it had climbed. Its small body form stood out against the dark chocolate color of the tree. Bird's smile was still placed upon her black soaked maw as she listened to the creature speak. Its was polite, kind, as before. Bird couldn't help but raise her smile slightly higher, she loved meeting new people, and the moments ticked by as she finally heard his last spoken word.
"Bird was only searching around, she is new to these lands."
She blinked a few times, wondering if she could ask the same question back. She had done this before, and it seemed alright, but it just wasn't unique. So she thought of something new to speak, something that he might not have brought up soon.
"Bird wonders why you have come here too, but she thinks it is not unique to speak something Sni has spoken also. So may Bird ask what Sni's favorite berry is?"
She smiled slightly, not even aware of her third person speaking language. It was how she was taught, and that is how she will speak. What Sni's favorite berry is. Yes, she wondered this. She had caught him nibbling on a branch of berries, so why not ask what kind he likes?

Sni was taken aback a bit by this strange question. This wasn't something most people asked on meeting someone was it. "Um, oran berries I guess. And don't worry about asking me something I asked you." hee said kindly. He didn't want this pokemon to be nervous.

A Shroomish fell from the top of the tree it had been climbing. it fell and it fell, hitting branch with a little poofing sound. The shroomish didn't get hurt, climbing the tree, it was too light. With a soft whoosh the Shroomish hit the ground head first next to the Poochyena talking, eyes locking for a moment, at least until the Shroomish rolled over. eyeing both of the pokemon, the shroomish tried to smile, but failed. Shroomish's had a really hard time smiling.

Sni turned his head to the shroomish in shock. He wasn't used to seeing shroomish fall from trees. Maybe it was common in the rainforest. "Hello. Are you all right? What's your name, may I ask?" said Sni anxiously. He was worried that the shroomish was hurt. And just what had it been doing up in the trees?

The shroomish shook itself off. A little cloud of spores rose from it. "I be Grandum Pun, Shroomish, Explorer of the rain forest." the shroomish said gruffly. He looked up at the tree he had been climbing. "I be in no hurt. Climbing the tallest tree in the rainforest, I was. It be slippery up there in them trees." Grandum Pun told Sni.

The Poochyena was shocked to see another pokemon play into game. Bird jumped back a few steps, paws scurring underneath her. Where had this one come from? She lifted her head slightly upward, where it seemed a hole in the leaves were. The pokemon must have been climbing the tree and slipped of some sort. Maybe.
Sni began talking to the other pokemon, asking it two questions in maybe two or one sentence(s). Bird smiled slightly, glad that so far the other pokemon was nice. It spoke educationally, tell us what we needed to know, and more. Bird cocked her head slightly, the black hairs that lingered on her face, fell to the side the head cocked to. She blinked a few times, ready to speak her own words.
"Hello,Grandum Pun. This ones name is Bird. Bird isn't really an explorer of the rainforest, but she does like watching the scenery."
Bird glanced back at Sni, then back at Grandum Pun. Walking a few steps forward, she paused, not sure what to do next. She bent her nose down to the ground and sniffed the area that Grandum Pun had fallen from before lifting her head up again and letting her gaze fall upon the Shroomish.

As he listened to Bird he realized that he hadn't told Grandum Pun his own name. "And my name is Sni" he said hurridly. "So, do you enjoy being an explorer? It sounds very exciting." he asked politely. He had made friends with Bird quickly, he hoped that he could do the same with Grandum Pun.

Grandum Pum tried to nod, and just managed to fall over again. Being pretty much a head, made lots of things hard to do. Nodding was one of them. He rolled back onto his feet. "Since I be an explorer, I be learning all kinds of trinkets, tricks, and trades. Call them the three T's of Explorin, I do. The scenery is part o the adventure. Ya see it, Ya smell it, and ya get stuck in it, too. There be sometimes when things come out of tha blue. A bluk berry smashed me in the head up there, it did. You saw me fell. Now I be here." the shroomish recounted. He liked being an explorer and was really good at it too.

Bird blinked a few times, ears forward as she listened to the other creature speak. Her tail gently swayed behind her as she stood, maroon lanterns fixed upon the talking figure. She smiled slightly, aware that Grandum Pun was talking about what happened when he fell. It was somewhat funny, but she tried to hide it, smile fading slightly into a regular one.
"Bird would like to know how long Grandum Pun has been an adventure person, or maybe his first adventure that led him into being an adventure person."
The Poochyena got slightly closer to Grandum Pun, a excited/interested expression placed upon her happy face. She loved hearing stories, and Grandum Pun's was very interesting so far. Knowing that she might be here for awhile, Bird sat herself down, her tail curled against her back and her eyes bright and happy and she listened for more of the story of Grandum Pun adventures.

The shroomish puffed himself up, spores driting lazily off the little pokemon. He was puffing himself up in pride, chest out, only. . . He was just a head. Heads can't puff out there chests. It would just look silly. However silly it appeared, Grandum Pun began his story. "Many months ago on a turbulent storm, I be hanging on for dear Ole life, battling mother nature with all the strength I had in me. The storm was winning, it was, with fierce gales that could topple trees, and thunda that could kill ya in a blink of the ole eye. I be whipped from my lofty branch, the storm did. Flew for who knows how many ages, i did. There be only one thing I be remembering of the stormy flight." He paused for breath, taking in a huge gulp of it.
"I be alive, and that be all that matters. Woke up in a cave, somehow. Didin't know where I be or when it be, but... That cave. . . That cave, t'was a beauty to behold. I found out later it had never been discovered. the ones who I brought back to the cave named it Grandum Cave after me. It t'was such a gratitude that I could be only moved to tears. T'was the day I be came The Explorer, Grandum Pun, Explorer of the rainforest." the shroomish orated like a master. (turning talking to green for easier reading.)

Bird's smile grew and she could feel herself leaning forward in an interested stage. She absolutely loved stories, and Grandum Pun was fascinating. Her black paws fiddled in the grass before her, anxious to hear the rest of the story. And as the story ended, Bird's eyes were wide. An awed look placed upon her face.
"Bird is astonished, she deeply loves your story Grandum Pun. She wonders if the cave that was named after Grandum Pun is still there."
Bird scooted slightly closer, ears as forward as they could get. Her maroons were fixed on his face, almost a overexcited stage she was in. She wondered if that cave had fallen in or something, or if it still stood their, waiting for someone else to venture in. The Poochyena finally stood up, to excited to sit her bum down any longer.

Grandum Pun tried to puff up even more, if that was even possible. "Aye. It still be there, where it be." He was proud of his accomplishment like anybody would be. He had just noticed something odd, though, very odd. He turned to Sni. "Little one. Where be your swarm? Never seen a wurmple by himself, I haven't. A question, I be asking." Grandum Pun asked Sni. Wurmple's were almost always weak, and because of that they almost were always protected by swarms. The ones who didn't rarely lasted long in the rainforest.
(I hope your from a wurmple from what I gather. If not, then apology.)

Sni's eyes flickered with rage. "My colony all evolved and moved on to lay their eggs. They left me behind. One day I'll evolve and find them. I know I will." he said angrily. He couldn't stand what his colony had done to him. They had left him, not caring whether he lived or died. That was something he could never forgive.

The shroomish shook it's head sadly, like jello in an earthqauke. "They left you behind, they did? That be sketchy for a story, I say. I neva hear of a colony forgettin one of their own, and I be Grandum Pun, Explorer o the rainforest. If I neva hear it, nobody did." Grandum Pun said gruftly. He had heard of colonies leaving one of their own behind, but that had been a weak runt smaller than this one, and sickly besides. He just couldn't beleive it. "bird, What say you?" The shroomish asked. He wanted to have another opinion.

Bird smiled as Grandum Pun puffed himself out and began his sentences again. Her tail was gently curled against her back eyes fixed on the interesting shroomish and ears were forward listening to his words. Then he switched his conversation over to Sni, asking him about his colony. Bird turned her maroon gaze over to Sni, cocking her slightly, unaware that Sni did not have a colony.
But then he spoke his words, of not having one. And Bird's ears gently fell back some in a sad sensation. He did not have one, they left him behind? Bird had never heard of this happen before, most likely because she wasn't as great of an adventurer as Grandum Pun. And then Grandum Pun asked Bird a question, in his own sentence ways.
"Bird had not heard of this either. But then again Bird is not as great as Grandum Pun in adventuring, so she hasn't seen everything about each Pokemon, like Grandum Pun."
Bird lifted a smile to Grandum Pun, so interested in his stories. Her tail gently swayed behind her, happy that Grandum Pun did not mind telling Bird all his stories.

The shroomish drooped at that, a sign of disappointment. "It be fine. It be fine. I just be wishing that the colonies where not just a myth, I was. It be a pity when a child be forced to grow up. growing up, everybody does, eventually. Some be doing it now, some be doing it later. When it be left to the laddy to do it on his own, when he not be ready for it, it be worse than anything." Grandum Pun said, as if remembering something. He remembered his family before he had lost it in that storm. He remembered it.

Something seemed to be troubling Grandum Pun. He had spoken with sadness. "Grandum Pun, when you were saying about someone growing up alone before they were ready... that didn't happen to you did it." Sni asked cautiously. He didn't want to upset Grandum Pun but he was curious.

the shroomish drooped a little, looking like he deflated. "It be fine. I be one of those who grew big a wee bit faster than others wanted too. I tink the question really be. Where be your colony." Grandum Pun said changing the subject back to what it had been about before. Maybe the shroomish could help the little pokemon find his way back to his family.

(Soon the world shall be grandum Punified! Speak like him and learn what it means to live. WAHAHAHHAHAH. Ahem. . . Sorry about that.)
grandum Pun nodded, looking like he was about to tip himself over. "That they could, that they could. May be that thy be looking for ya, Sni. if that be the case, Then I will be helping ya find them." Grandum Pun said offering his services in his round about way. He was always glad to help.

Sni snorted and said "Me doubt it. They left me. And somehow me don't think they just forgot that I couldn't fly. They left me here because I couldn't evolve. They left me for dead.". Sni was bitter about how they had left him. He had thought that some of them were his friends and then they had stabbed him in the back. How could Grandum Pun be so optimistic?

Bird turned her head to each pokemon as they spoke. Sni to Grandum Pun, Sni to Grandum Pun. It seemed they were having a conversation as young Bird here just stood and watch, head cocked slightly and ears forward, following the conversation, Maybe she should join, but what if she accidentally interrupted? That wouldn't be very kind. And anyhoo, she didn't really know how to help. Grandum Pun had the most knowledge of the world, so he knew where everything was, set and stone.
"Bird wonders if she's interrupting.. but if Sni does needs any help of somesort, Bird is willing to help."
Her tail gently waved behind her, a smile weaving itself upon her black splattered maw. Sni was her friend, and Grandum Pun also, and if they need help, then she was willing to give it. Friendship.

Grandum Pun glanced around suspiciously, his frown omnipresent. "It be a problem. Maybe we find them, maybe no, but that be changing nothing. If ya feel like ya have no family, ya might as well go where ya want to. If ya don't, well that be a problem. You be no interupting, bird. A great Idea, it be. What help do you be needing Sni?" grandum Pun asked spinning around, looking for something. A small powder drifted from him whenever he moved.

Sni continued to sneeze. "But thanks-achoo- for o-achoo-ffering to help- achoo!" Sni said through the continuous sneezes.
