Her tail light flashed weakly with the word food and she looked for a nipple to nurse from.
Flame gathered her chicks close to her body.

Charna lay down beside her lamb so that Inyena didn't have to even get up to nurse. She just shifted her body so her udder was right by Inyena's face. "Here...I'm full to bursting anyway. Drink all you can."

Inyena suckled and her tail light grew alittle brighter with eat sip.

Charna sighed and gently stroked the soft fur of her daughter's head and back while she nursed. "I feel like I'm a new mother again. Never can tell with Inyena. She worries me to say the least. I just hope she gets stronger soon, I don't want her falling ill from all this down time she's had."

She bleeted and tryed to get her mom to cradle her in her arms so she could fall asleep feeling sucure.

Charna, with her flippers, was only so good at cradling, but she continued to pet her lamb, sensing that what her daughter wanted was her comforting touch. "It's okay now Inyena--nobody's going to hurt you here."

"You said Mama...you said your first word...my baby." Charna wasn't actually completely sure that Inyena had spoken rather than just said the usual bleats of her kind, mareep...but it sounded like a word the way she'd said it.

"Yes, they went to Hallowmoor," said Charna. "They wouldn't have any idea where my family is, though. And for their sake I hope they stay away from that whole area."
Charna stood so her lamb could suckle. Soon Inyena would be eating grass, too, any day now.
