Hello! I am known by a few titles - Pink Parka Girl on most forums, Alyssa in real life, but here, you may call me Perri, after my character. My favorite Pokemon is Plusle, and though I've only forum RPed a few times, I've been RPing through chat for years now, and look forward to getting back into the forum RP scene I am a fanfic writer at Fanfiction.net ( www.fanfiction.net/u/25541/Pink_Parka_Girl ), and I try to put a lot of the same detail and care that I put in my fiction into my RP posts I'm really looking forward to having fun here! I do have one question, though - is there any way to change the forum skin? This pale grey text on black background really kills my eyes, and I have to highlight text to even see it. It's also hard to tell buttons apart. I tried adjusting my monitor, but that didn't really help. *blushes* If there isn't a way to change the skin, is there any way one could be made? Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the game!
I dunno bout changing the skin right now, but I will eventually be changing it to something lighter. All depends on when I get a new logo done. I can see the lettering just fine, though...you might want to brighten your monitor. Let me know if that works for you.

I had tried changing my monitor at first, but it didn't really do anything ^^; My problem is that I'm using a rather cheap flat screen monitor, and from my experience my monitor, no matter how bright I turn it up, just doesn't capture color range as well as the typical glass screen ones. I'd probably be able to see the text just fine if I used a different computer, but on mine it's very hard to make out and I usually have to highlight the entire page in order to read it easily. *blush* But it's okay - people with crummy monitors probably weren't a problem you were anticipating when you made the color scheme As for playing the game - I can just jump into an already ongoing thread, right? Or do I begin my own? Since I'm used to RPing through chat, I'm not sure where exactly I should jump in. ^^;

Hi Perri! Welcome to the site. I'm kinda new myself. When I started I just jumped in a thread that I thought looked interesting.

Hiya! I'm also new, but yes you can jump into any thread as lon gas you've made a character. It doesn't need to be accepted.
I would love to join fanfic.net, but haven't really wrote a fan-fic to date. Keep intending to, like a Pokemon one, but it never gets off the ground, what with school and the other book I'm writing...It's good to see one who's dedicated to RP'ing just like true writing.

You just jump in anywhere you think you'd fit in! Almost any thread is joinable and we're very newbie-friendly.
