Yet More ~Water~

[Runner]

Haruka had been strolling around looking for another few big ponds to enjoy a dip in. He'd found some but they weren't quite as good as the one that he was about to stumble upon. Of course he'd been here loads of times but he just enjoyed pretending it was a wondrous new place. More exciting that way.

When he got to the edge of the river he sat down and got ready to dive. He didn't actually dive, more like a flop than anything else. He started swimming around a calm smile placed on his face. He enjoyed this an awful lot. He quickly ducked his head underwater to make sure there wasn't anything to scare him this time.

[Zappy]

Zappy was just walking along heading to the river to see what was there. The sites were usually enjoyable on her way there, and she enjoyed her own little exploring adventures. Once she was at the side of the river, she set herself done because she was tried from the journey. It was worth it though, because it was such a wonderful view to her little purple eyes. She saw a Mudkip hop into the water and called it from the shore. "Hey what's your name Mudkip?" She hoped that it heard her yell, and that it would reply to what she had said.

She had been taught the basic names for all the Pokemon that were around these parts. A lot of the older Pokemon were amazed at how willing to learn she was. Zappy was very curious, and liked to know more about everything, including the world around her. There would be nothing more she would love than to have someone as a best friend though. It seemed like one of the greatest things in the world from what she had heard.

Lush vegetation provided a decent cover for the charmander that was lurking in the bushes, hoping to grab a bite to eat, dining on the pichu would be a nice treat after having to deal with mostly insects to prey upon. Chain's tail-flame kept low in the foliage as he kept an eye on the electric rodent while it looked on at the mudkip in the water.

At the moment, food was Chain's only necessity at this time of day as the sun reached its peak in the sky, for quite a long time now the charmander had been on his own without any friends or family, not even bothering to talk with any other source of life, prey or not. Hoping to not be discovered Chain remained where he was, unknowing of the fact that his tail had caught a dead branch that had fallen off of a nearby tree a while ago.

[Zappy]

Zappy smelled a branch that had fallen, and she turned around to see that there might be something in the brush. She started to have her anger and fight instincts take over. The once pink cheeks turned closer to red, and her purple eyes burned a dangerous fire. There was a slight back up and she quickly bashed into the bush with unintended sparks that came with the attack. "Stalking me for prey is not the best idea." Zappy commented after she backed up from her attack. Hoping that the other Pokemon was not too powerful for her to handle. That would not be a good thing at all.

She did not try to worry about that too much since a lot of the Pokemon she hanged out with were usually not very threatening or only a small threat. "You know I could find you food, instead of you constantly lurking around here." Zappy thought that she had heard something about a Pokemon that was hiding in the bush once before. She didn't really want to fight, but she would, and wouldn't have any mercy on the other Pokemon if they wanted to attack her. Though, usually, her battles were only for fun, they prepared her a lot for things that were like this.

[Clif]

The charmander took notice of the burning branch, picking up the scent as the pichu had turned around also, so he lost track of the electric rodent's movements. Trying to put out the fire with his foot, Chain completely ignored Zappy's comment as he quelled the flames. Sighing to himself, he turned around just to be surprised by the pichu's attack into the bush he was hiding in. Luckily the pichu missed his body just by an extremely small distance.

Relief flooded through his body as he realized he hadn't been injured in any way. Quickly recovering his mind, Chain attempted to be sly on his part and came out of the bushes, as casually as he could, "I wasn't stalking you as prey..." he began, his orange eyes drifting from the sky, down to the pichu, making eye-contact, "I'm just shy...I don't have many acquaintances around here. I'm relatively new to the area..." he replied in a quiet voice, hoping that the rodent would buy it.

[Zappy]

"I don't exactly believe you..." Zappy said, trusting her instincts more than what the Charmander had said. "If you weren't stalking me, then you have to prove it to me." She said, not trusting something that seemed like a likely thing to attack her. Even though she was the brave type, there was still a little bit of Pichu in her. The young Pokemon would not give into what the other one had said until she had a true reason to believe him. There was no good reason yet, and she was waiting for that or a promise that he would not ever be stalking her ever again.

"Which, I think you may not be able to prove." She told the Charmander, telling him know that she was no fool. Zappy was not an easy Pokemon to sway no matter what way you tried to do it. The only way you could, would be if you were close, and there was really no one that was like that. Even with the older Pokemon she hanged out with, she wasn't really close to them at all. They just made sure that she didn't get in too much trouble with things that she couldn't handle.

[Clif]

"You don't have to believe me. If you want a reason, why would I allow myself to be so relaxed as I hunted you? If I was hunting, that branch wouldn't have set on fire, and when you charged I would have attacked, knowing I could have taken you down. Your fur would go up in flames in a second," Chain replied smugly as he kept his face as passive as it could be, but not so much to be stoic.

The charmander walked towards the electric rodent, his tail-flame swaying slowly behind him as he came to a stop a comfortable distance away from Zappy. "If you don't believe me, then deal with it and live in fear of me. In this world there are many more problems you should worry about out there..." he trailed off, making a general motion with his clawed hands.
