All was quiet in the lush deep green Rainforest's. The early dawn mist muffled all the sound that echoed with in it's trees with only the highest pitch of sound breaking through the veil. But soon another sound broke through the light weight wall.
There was a Russel of leaves and suddenly a Charmander like Pokemon with a long tail and a horn on it's head came crashing down the branches. He cried out in pain as the spiky limbs scratched him all over, creating many cuts and bruises. In almost no time he had hit the forest's floor with a heavy 'thump'.
K'erith, as what was this creature was named, quickly turned himself over and looked around the emerald forest with nervousness and agitation. Something was chasing the young Charizard/Dragonite mixed knew that the Pokemon that was chasing him before would come back, but he had no idea where it would be coming from...

The day had only just begun, the sun's first rays slowly illuminating the world outside. Somewhere in the distance, the sound of a Dodrio's cry filled the air, rousing a young Cyndaquil from it's sleep. The first thing Thomas noticed was that it was still cold, the early morning air was unpleasant to say the least to the fire-type. He toyed with the idea of staying in the small nest he had made for himself until noon. Blearily opening his eyes and yawning, the Pokemon raised itself up on unsteady legs and carefully took in the surroundings...
Nothing dangerous...Just the usual sounds of the forest...Can't smell anything either...I think it's safe...
The first order of the day, was breakfast. Emerging from his rather crude nest, Thomas began to scout for anything edible in the surrounding area. He thought he had hit the jackpot when he found a long line of ants marching into the undergrowth, and began to eat. It had only been a few moments before a new sound disturbed his morning meal. Suddenly, a shape came flying out of nowhere and slammed into the ground right next to him! Letting out a sharp yelp of panic, Cyndaquil sprang aside and entered into a defensive stance, his heart beating furiously in anticipation of an attack...None came, and it quickly became obvious from the scent of blood that the other was hurt. Hesitantly, Thomas took a step forward, only to spring back again as the other quickly rose up.
“Are you...OK?”

K'erith quickly turned his head and jumped about ten feet in the air when he saw that something was near him. After his hear slowed down a tiny bit he realized that it was only a harmless, or looked harmless, Cyndaquil. He took a deep breath then growled at the Fire Mouse Pokemon.
"No, I am not okay!" K'erith said irritated as he got up, his long tail twitching back and forth in agitation. "I've got a Luxray on my tail who decided that I would make a fine meal for him. If I were you I get the hell out of here before-"
A lighting blot crashed down between the two, knocking the hybrid back. K'erith grunted in pain and looked over to see a smirking shiny Luxray. The male lion like Pokemon chuckled and took slow steps toward the two.
"Well what do you know? It seem that I've found two very tasty looking breakfast." The Luxray said, licking his lips. "I don't know if I can pick between either one of you. I bet both of you are just as spicy." His smirk grow. "Yes, Fire Pokemon has such spicy blood. That's what I like about them."

Cyndaquil regarded the hybrid type Pokemon warily, fighting off a brief flicker of annoyance at the rude reply. It was understandable after all, Thomas certainly wouldn't be in the best of moods after face-planting the ground. However the true nature of the situation was revealed to him and then, he could definitely appreciate why the other wasn't in the best of spirits. His muscles tensed at the thought of a Luxray on the hunt, and Thomas heartily agreed that 'getting the hell out of there' was preferable to fighting a fully evolved Pokemon.
No sooner had the decision to flee been made than a great surge of electricty shot down from the heavens, knocking the other back and just narrowly missing Thomas. His hair stood on end from the proximity of the attack and the scent of ozone filled the air around him as Luxray emerged from the trees.
Panic gripped Thomas and although he knew it was absolutely futile, his instincts kicked in resulting in burning flames erupting all down his back. Deep inside he felt the gently throbbing inferno where his fire powers lay, but even as he tried to summon a simple ember, it sputtered and receded to a gentle warmth.
I'm too young still! Am I going to die before I can even perform my first fire attack? Thomas thought, oddly detached from reality.
I won't make it easy on you...and if you do catch me, I swear I'll give you the worst heartburn of your life!
Without even speaking a word, Thomas launced himself at the Luxray, his eyes fixed on the razor sharp fangs bared before him. Staring up at the much larger Pokemon, he felt the beginnings of a terrified yell in his chest as the Luxray lunged downwards to deliver the fatal blow.
NOW! Screamed a voice in his mind and in response, Thomas opened his mouth and used a smokescreen attack right into Luxray's face. Thick, dirty smoke erupted from the small Pokemon, stinging the eyes and burning the sensitive nose of the Luxray. Already the smokescreen was cutting off his own vision and without a second thought, he gave into his fear and sprinted away from the temporarily blinded Luxray.
“RUN!” He screamed at the hybrid as he ran past, hoping that it wasn't too injured to follow.

K'erith's eyes widen in horror as he watched the Cyndaquil launched himself at the Luxary. Was the stupid Fire Mouse crazy! How in the world could he think that he could fight against a fully evolved Pokemon while he is no more then a runt? It made right next to no sense for the hybrid.
Then suddenly he knew understood what the Cyndaquil had wanted to do. He had to admit, the thing had guts in pulling a move like that, he could had very easily gotten killed. When the Cyndaquil screamed for K'erith to run, he wasted no time running with him. K'erith had to clench his teeth together in order to not cry out in pain as his bleeding limbs called out in protest. He moved as fast as he could and made sure to pull his tail in so that it could get caught in anything.
The Luxray cried out in frustration and blindly shot a Thunderblot at the fleeing Fire Pokemon. The blot of electricity hit a tree very close to the two but, luckily, did not make it fall down.

Trees, hedges, flowers and plants of all sort, blurred into a green smear as the terrified Cyndaquil ran for it's life. It's short legs ate up the ground as it hurled itself across the forest floor, blood pumping furiously around its small body as it tried to think of a means of escape.
Behind him, Thomas could hear that the Luxray had started to give chase. It wouldn't be long now until they were caught, and likely devoured.
Is there another Pokemon's territory we could lure it into? Or somewhere it is too big to fit? Attacking it is useless...All I know is tackle, leer and smokescreen! It'll be expecting another!
Thomas felt the attack before he saw it. The air crackled dangerously behind him, causing his fine hairs covering his body to stand up. The thunderbolt flashed past him and struck a tree did ahead, causing it to splinter and crack, but thankfully...or maybe not...it remained standing.
“Do you know any status attacks?” Thomas yelled, not even turning to face his fellow entrée.
Once again, and not really expecting it to work this time, Thomas opened his mouth and spewed thick dark clouds into the air, obscuring the chasing Luxray's view...but not for long. Electric type Pokemon were simply too fast, and eventually one of it's attacks would it's the mark.

"What the hell level do you think I'm at, idiot!?" K'erith yelled as he continued to run away from the shiny Luxray, ducking as another blot came at his head. "Of course I don't know any status attacks!" The hybrid looked back and an idea came into mind. "But I may just have the next best thing."
K'erith relaxed his tail and slowed down his pace, even though he was still running. A savage smirk crossed the Luxray's face as he noticed the strange looking Pokemon slowing down. The two had put up a tough fight so far, but it seemed as though one of them was finally tiering. Bits of electricity crackled at the lion's teeth and he lunged at the unfortunate Pokemon.
But it seemed that luck was on K'erith's side. As soon as he saw the Luxary lunge at him, his tail suddenly burst into flames and slammed his tail into the Gleam Eyes Pokemon's belly. This made the Luxray cry out in surprise and pain as he slammed into the ground to the left of the two Fire Pokemon. K'erith quickly began to run faster again.
"Come on! We're not out of danger yet!" The hybrid said to the Cyndaquil.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay)
Gritting his teeth, Thomas continued to focus on the running and not voice his thoughts at the hybrid.
Well you did manage to get chased by a Luxray...and led it right to me. Thomas growled in his mind, although a small part of him pointed out that it was unlikely the other was going through this willingly either, and it wasn't entirely fair to blame him.
Or maybe he really is an idiot!
Thomas watched in abject horror as K'erith vanished from his peripheral vision. The stupid Pokemon was going to fight!
What is it with dragon types and thinking they can win every single battle they come across? There was a reason we wer...Oh, I see...
Unwillingly impressed at the strength of the blow, and the angry red burn left behind. Thomas none the less kept on running with the hybrid.
“Especially not since you made it mad!” Thomas yelled, panting heavily. They couldn't keep running...or at least, Thomas couldn't. Not used to such activity the relatively inexperienced Pokemon was beginning to tire.
The burning in his legs and chest kept pushing in his mind, along with flashes K'erith's firey tail slamming into the Luxray...Fire...Fire! They were both fire Pokemon! They were surrounded by vegetation! If they started a forest fire...it was risky, but this was the rainforest, showers formed and dissapated five times a day! And while a forest fire was still dangerous for the two of them, they'd be able to last a lot longer than an electric type.
“Fire! We need to start a fire! Your tail! My back!...Unless you have any other ideas?”

(Don't worry, I've had a lot worse.)
K'erith was also feeling very tired as his limbs cried out in agonizing protest. It was even worse for him then the Cyndaquil since he had been chased for a fair longer time. His panting was starting to become more laborious. the hybrid had no idea how long he had until it was too much for him...But what could he do? The Luxray had already regained much of the ground he had lost and he could not slow down again for even a second.
He suddenly snapped his head to ward Thomas as he gave his idea and a grinned crossed the Chraizard/Dragonite mixed.
"You know, I think that's the first semi-intelligent thing I've heard you say yet!" K'erith said as some flames came off of his tail. "So, what would you say to burning this place down on the count of three?"

Guessing that the first words out of the hybrid's mouth would in some shape of form be derisive, Thomas was not dissapointed. Still it was kind of a compliment...
“Sounds great! We'll trap it in a circle, start at the bushes ahead, I'll go right, you go left!” Thomas yelled, the plan enabling him to push his aching muscles to the back of his mind for just a little bit longer.
“1....2.....” The Luxray chasing them yelled out a roar of triumph, it was finally upon them.
“...3!”
Thomas spewed out one final smokescreen for cover as he dived into the underbush, the terror induced adrenaline making it easy to push the temperature of the fire on his back way past normal. The flames roared higher, hissing and spitting furiously in their intensity. For a second, Thomas was afraid the leaves and wood were too damp from the morning dew to catch, but then came the most beautiful sound of all.
With an almight roar, the surrounding vegetation caught on fire, blazing with intensity. Thomas' view of K'erith and the Luxray was swallowed by the flames and smoke. Racing ahead like a rocket, jumping over and diving under roots and branches alike, nothing was spared from the intensity of the fire mouse's flame.
Good luck...

"Got ch'ya. I have to admit that this is more then a bit risky but I don't think that there's anything we can do." K'erith said as he quickly turned to the left, his tail making a snapping sound as he went around a tree.
The dragon half started panting even more as he tapped into the last of his energy in order to run far enough away from the Luxray. He knew that if he lit the vegetation too close to the lion Pokemon then he would just jump over the new born flames and come after him. Yet if he stated it too far away then he would have enough time to get away from the circle of flames they were planning on making.
K'erith pushed these thoughts to the very back of his mind and took as deep a breath as he could. Suddenly his long tail burst into flames. The hybrid spun around a couple times to spread the flames and then laid it on the ground and increased the temperatures even more. Soon a great roar of fire appeared and raced over to the Luxray.
The Gleam Eyes Pokemon gave a mighty roar of surprise and frustration and tried to blast the flames away but the lighting blot hit a dry branch and only increased the blaze. K'erith quickly ran around the circle of fire to where the Cyndaquil was.
"Well, I have to admit, that worked pretty well." K'erith said with another grin on his face.
