"Whee!" Runner though as he lived up to his name. Of course he was actually heading in a certain direction. He scampered past big rocks and loads of tree's until he suddenly found himself at the edge almost leaping directly into the river. He immediately put on his breaks...or as some call them, his back legs.
Runner spent around five seconds balancing trying not to fall in. He sat down. Problem solved. He was now sitting on the edge of the river. He felt uncomfortable sitting down, he was liable to mean things pushing him in. He hopped onto his feet and took several laps of the water with his tongue. Water tasted nice to him.
When he'd finished his brief drink he laid down like a household dog would. He put on a grin and he started licking his paw and scratching his head with it.
Yeah. He was an Eevee. And Boy did he love it. |

A smeargle sneaked up on the eevee. Whee, he would be fun to paint. She started painting him all over in green paint from her tail.

Runner had been enjoying the feeling of scratching himself when he felt a very cold liquid on his back. He yelped and span around growling, and looking as threatening as he could while still having his tail between his legs. He stopped growling when he saw it was just a smeargle "Figures" He thought out loud.
He tried to make himself look as smart and dignified as he could with a green back. He did a small cough to clear his throat "Hello" He said tilting his head slightly. |

The smeargle giggled. "Hello Mr. Green Back. I'm Khizarka. Pleased ta meetcha." She waved her long, whiplike tail behind her, flicking a few drops of paint around on the ground. "Yer my latest green pokemon! Isn't green the best colour ever?"

The Eevee tilted it's head more "Khizer-Khizarka? That's an unusual name. Nice to meet you too...I guess. I would have preferred brown but I can't be picky" He said trying to look at his back to see the damage done to his perfect fur. "Erm...I prefer brown to green myself" He said with a small smile. |

"Aw, well it washes off in water! I just saw you, a sleeping pokemon and couldn't resist. " Khizarka giggled. "And brown? Not bad, but the best thing is rainbow colours! I love all sorts of colours, although not everyone in my tribe likes to paint as much as me. But I think we all do to some extent."

“I love red better!” Lee said. Yet Lee was another Smeargle. He was normal looking Smeargle except he had red paint coming from his tail. He was napping behind a bush when he heard a girl Smeargle and a Eevee talking he just couldn’t resist talking and seeing a girl Smeargle. When he put his eyes on the female Smeargle his moth dropped, his hart started pumping faster, and before you know knew it he had already was in front of her. “H-hi my name is Lee.” He said. You see Lee was always falling in love with girl Smeargles and he instantly fell in love with this one.

"Red? Red is....the opposite of green, ya know." Khizarka looked at Lee and smiled while rolling her eyes. "Nice ta meetcha. I'm Khizarka. Hey wanna paint something together?"

He just stared at her for awhile then he snapped out of it. “Uh maybe I dono what do you think Runner?” Lee said. Lee started to twist his tail. When he gets nerves he will some times twist his tail. He asked if Runner wanted to come along to so she wouldn’t be left out. He loved to make new friends.

Khizarka looked at Lee. "Who's Runner?" She looked from Lee to Runner, whose name she had yet to learn. Maybe he was Runner? "You two know each other?"

“Oh I’m sorry the Eevee. I can guess names really well. The Eevee’s name is Runner I guess. I think this because how it was running.” Lee said. “I mean you did paint over the Eevee didn’t you?” Lee said as he was looking at the green paint. “I mean we do owe it something.” Lee said.

Khizarka looked at Lee a little narrow-eyed, then seemed to shake off her suspicions. She giggled and nodded. "Uh-huh! But I only gave him the best green! My green's the best green around! The best green there is! Greener than summer grass after a rainy spring."

Khizarka looked at the other smeargle's tail and saw the truth of his words. She sighed. "Too bad green and red make brown when you mix them up!"

“We could re-paint Eevee brown.” Lee said as he started to brake out in laughter. Then he thought that wouldn’t be a bad idea. And he also thought about him and her painting each other.

Khizarka thought that was the funniest thing she'd heard. "PERFECT! Hey Runner Eevee, we can make you brown again!" She swished her dripping tail.

Lee started to laugh along with the female Smeargle. Than he grabbed his tail and started to paint Eevee red all over. Then he started to laugh at the red Eevee. Than he started to paint Khizarka red too. “It’s your turn to paint me and the Eevee to!” Lee said as he started to laugh.

Khizarka decided to leave the poor eevee alone for the time being and instead began to paint green stripes on Lee. "I looove Stripes!" She painted green stripes on herself, too, to compliment the red. What she had forgotten was that when smeargles mixed up colours on their tails like that they altered the colours of their secretions. Khizarka was soon painting with brown paint.
"What??? NO!" She kept on painting, but nothing but brown came out.

The poor multicolored Eevee just stood there taking in what the Smeargles were saying. But it was hard to catch up and understand. He was awfully startled when one of them said his name. He hadn't gave that out yet. "I actually think Runner of more of a title than a name" He explained "Green and red are OK, but teal and cyan are much better than both combined". Runner just stood there startled as one of the Smeargles painted him red, he tried shaking off the paint but it wasn't coming off.
He felt left out not being able to paint anything, his tail was red but it had already set, so it was of no use to him. But he then quickly jumped at the chance when one of the Smeargles started painting brown "Quickly before it goes paint me!" He said. |

In tears, Khizarka nodded and painted Runner brown. It wasn't quite the same brown as his real fur was, it was more of a pukey, blah brown than the rich deep chocolate-tan of an eevee's coat. "I want...my green back...Green...I took you so for granted." She sat down and sobbed.

Lee looked at Khizarka and hugged her. It was a good hug indeed. He was trying to get her to stop crying. He had always hated the look and sound of Pokemon crying. He wanted her to start hugging him back. He was not willing to let go until she stopped crying.

Khizarka finally stopped crying, knowing she had to pull herself together. "I've got to cure it!" she cried, unable to fathom a life lived with only being able to paint the colour brown.

Lee looked at her weirdly <Why did she not hug back?> he thought. Than he had an idea. He grabbed her tail and started to painted her green with her own paint.

ooc: smeargles mix paint with each other and that causes their own paint colour to change, so she's got brown now from mixing with Lee.
ic: Khizarka only cried more as she was painted brown. "I want my green back....my green..." In despair and needing someone to hug, she hugged Lee, getting him all coloured brown now too.

Lee: Lee hugged Khizarka back as hard as he could. He started to cry as well. He could not find out how to get her green back. Than he thought of something. “How about you put your tail in the river and your color will turn back maybe!?” Lee said.

Khizarka sniffled once more, and decided it didn't hurt to try. "Okay." She dipped her tail in the stream, waiting for the green to return. A little streak of brown flowed out into the water from her tail, and then it began to run green again. "Wow!" She took her tail out, wrung it dry and then tried out the green on Lee. It painted green. Khizarka hugged him. "You're my hero!"

Lee hugged Khizarka back. Then he said “Do you want to go to the stream, it is not that far a way.” Lee said to the female Smeargle Khizarka. He was happy to meet her and the Eevee but he needed to move on. But he didn’t want to move on alone.

Khizarka took his paw in hers. "You bet I do." she now sported a smear of green paint on her front, from painting Lee and then hugging him.
