(OOC: For reference, NO ONE has to write anywhere near what I do, though I do enjoy quality over quantity. So don't be intimidated, just come play <3 )
The bright midday sun shone down on Lake Lierra, lighting up the surface of the crystal clear water and sending bright rays through the liquid itself. For a little Luvdisc looking up it would seem heavenly; watching the surface sparkle like a million stars. Of course, that was only a comparison, and probably a bad one at that. Mizu knew what stars looked like, he surfaced once in a while to check them out and to scope out what other Pokemon were traveling along the land. He had to be careful, of course, for Pidgeys and Eevees were always content to lay in wait at the lake's edge. Mizu was always wary about surfacing, but curiosity would get the better of him and he had no choice.
Today, however, was not one of those days. Instead, he affected to race heartily around schools of Magikarp and other Luvdisc, following a little purple blur. Said blur was his best friend; Hinge. She was a Shellder, older than him by one year but already more world-wise than he. Or so she said at least. Hinge told Mizu that he was like a rock, easily walked all over an pushed aside in the next instant. While that hurt, the Shellder than insisted she stick around him, stay by his side so she can protect him from such creatures. Reluctant at first, Hinge just wouldn't go away, so the Luvdisc relented, which she chided him for.
Luvdisc were naturally faster than Shellder, so it didn't take long for him to catch up to Hinge, swimming by her side. The bratty pokemon looked over, sending a glare his way and attempted to speed up. This failed, however, as Mizu overtook her, speeding his way in front of the purple pokemon. Mizu chuckled to himself, setting wide eyes in front of him, warily glancing to his left and right ever so often.
The set of rocks they had been aiming for were quickly approaching and Mizu needed to seriously put on the brakes if he was going to avoid smacking into them. That had hurt the last time. Adjusting his fins, the Luvdisc slowed, eventually coming to a smooth stop in between the two jagged rocks. Spinning, he watched as Hinge closed in on him, almost pouting at her loss.
"Ok ok, she huffed before blowing a raspberry at him. "Best two out of three!"
Mizu simply laughed.

Although she could not swim, Snowfire adored looking at the crystal clear water of Lake Lierra. She loved to watch the water pokemon play about underneath the waters surface. Even though she could not join them, for she was an Eevee, it brought joy to her like nothing else could. She ruffled her light blue fur, curling her black tail.
Snowfire stared into the water as a little luvdisc swam furiously toward a shellder. She wondered why pokemon didn't come up to the surface when she was around. It wasn't like she was going to eat them. As the sun struck her fur it shone in a dazzling blue light. Snowfire yawned, and laid down at the waters edge. The last thing she remembered was the water shining like glitter dust.
