Hey, Nyaa-Nek of Jenta came back from vacation, and imdiately put your affiliation button up ^^. But it was rather small in comparison to our normal affiliation button sizes, so I made a new one for yur wonderful site. Here's the code, so you know where it comes from:

You have a problem with your coding on your affiliates box. While you have coded the links, you haven't attached the coding for the physical buttons, except for the Pokemon Challenges button. Currently the coding for the box (taken from the page source info) looks like this:

target="_blank" should be eliminated from all pieces of coding, and <img src="piccy.link"> should be put it it's place. I'm sorry to mention this, as redoing the coding will require discovering the address of each of the buttons, and it will be a pain. I'll try to find this stuff out for you, and place the corrected coding here. Then all that will need to be done will be a copy and paste into your board footers ^^.

BTW, if there is any particular button size that you happen to want on Erymire I'm more than will to make new buttons for all of these various sites that you have listed as affiliates.

I deliberately put target="_blank" so that it opens up in a new window. I checked each of the affiliation links to see that they indeed worked; Jenta's button opens up into a new window with that forum clearly displayed. So people are finding your site through ours if they click on the link.

Do you mean to say that you want your "alt" message to say something when you hover your mouse over the button? If you do, I can add that easily; just let me know what you'd like it to say and I'll add it. ^_^

The button you have for our site on your page is fine; I prefer the standard 31x88 size and all the buttons I have up so far are of this size.

Edit: I do apologise for the categories not necessarily remaining collapsed when people collapse them; I was unaware of this flaw when I installed the code. I will look into fixing it but can't make any promises.

Also, when I put in the coding for the affiliates' buttons, I used the code they themselves gave me on their sites or posted here. The only thing I might have added was target="_blank" or a 31x88 size if its size was a little bit off {it just looks better to me if they are all one size; it's also unfair to the other affiliates if a site with this huge-ass button is right next to theirs, lol}

Really? I can't see any of the buttons at all, or any text, or anything. The only one visible to me is Pokemon Challenges...

That's very strange. I'll double-check the code I have; I occasionally notice that one button here and there is a broken image, but it will not last for long, it comes back after not too long being down so I assume that it was the image server that was temporarily having difficulties.

Is anyone else having trouble seeing the buttons? As of this typing I have re-checked them all and they're all working.

Very odd. I can't understand it. I don't see any problems in the coding, but no images are appearing for me, and when I veiw the page source, none of the coding for the images is appearing. Only the links.

Did you try clearing out your cache and/or restarting your computer? Do the affiliate lists on other similar boards work for you or are they down too? Sometimes I have problems with whatever not loading and I'll have to restart. If this continues to be a problem let me know. I also want some feedback from everyone else here if they're seeing the affiliates properly down there. I did work hard getting that whole thing to work, so if it's all broken for everyone I want to get to the bottom of it!

Nope, all other affiliate listings are working for me just fine.

Wait, I think I have it. The "target="_blank"" is put next to the direct link for the sites, instead of after the link to the buttons, the way most other determining coding is placed. That could be the problem, and my web browser isn't recognizing it.

I use Firefox, which is often very picky about coding order.

It should work. But save your old coding first! I only know so much about coding because I've been working on a webcomic from scratch, and I'm trying to learn how to read HTML. I'm by no means an expert.

It does not work. target="_blank" must be in the a href tag, not the img src tag.

By the way, your affiliate links on your site do not open up new windows. I don't require it for my affiliates or anything, that's up to each individual site. I just prefer it myself and noted that your site does not do this.

Yeah, that's because the people who coded the buttons (Myself and the former admin Ghost Skitty) didn't know how to code the darn things to do that. Probably I wouldn't be able to see them if we had known how...

Probably it's just me and my computer. Le Sigh.

It was just luck that I happened to be online when Jenta's owner came to me with some issues. I do come on every day for several hours though. running a game's like that, it takes time...

Oh and it would ruin my affiliates program...No one would want to affiliate with me anymore!

Well, I'm not Jenta's owener ^^ <blushes>. I was only the temp mod until the head admin could come back from the "Land of Snow and Ice" that was her vacation. But I was getting worried when I couldn't see our affilation button. Now I think it's just my compy being stupid.

As for the Fairy Boy in the avy, he comes from Avatarhell.com. Nice little place for free avas, and they aren't picky about their terms of usage. As long as you're a member you can take what you want. It's very nice. I'd also suggest www.digik.com and www.athereality.net for anyone interested in finding well made avas, just if you take from them besure to put a disclamer in your siggy or some where saying where you got them and the artist.
