Nephtilla was about to answer Shahgag's question with a more, 'official' answer, but Siscarm had beat her to it. Smiling in his Scarmish way, he said confidently, "I've told ya, DeathTribe can't touch ya when you're with me, or with these people around us. Why, with the both of us together, they can't get anywhere near you." He continued smiling as he looked to Nephilla. To say the least, she was displeased, but even her dark expression couldn't wipe the smile off of Siscarm's face, though he couldn't find a single thing to say in response.

Shahgag looked at them and was overcome by that ever-deadly sin called curiosity. "How?" she said finally.
"Because of the powers that be," said Nephtilla. "The Great Einsallah has willed it so."
"Who is Einsallah?" Shahgag was almost afraid to pronounce the name.
"The Goddess of All."

Siscarm almost snorted in laughter, but he held himself completely restrained to be polite. Even so, he was rather happy that Shahgag was starting to inquire, it showed that she was beginning to believe in herself and her own person knowledge.
"Well, I don't really know much about gods and goddesses, but I can do this simply because I wish for it to be so. This could be self confidence or divine intervention, I don't actually know which one, but it seems to work thus far. I choose not to really question it. Now then..." Instead of saying anything, Siscarm motioned towards the now confidently sleeping Absol. Maybe it was night, Siscarm really didn't know, the trees were too thick.

"Before you have grown too old, youngling, you will see things, behold things to make you believe," said Nephtilla, who had met unbelievers before, it was not new to her. Sometimes outsiders did not believe in these things.
"Who is that?" said Shahgag, looking at the now-sleeping absol.
"That is Margle, elder absol," said Nephtilla. "When she wakes, she will help you learn more about your new roles here. But she's over a hundred years old now and sleeps most of the time."

Siscarm couldn't help but be surprised. A hundred years? The mere prospect was amazing. He hadn't heard of a single Absol living to their full expectancy, most died due to illnesses around 80 or 90. Perhaps they had different diseases here, or maybe none at all. Even so, it was not his place to talk, this was between Shahgag and this Margle in front of them, besides, asking such a thing would be rude. Then again, these people had different prospects of things...
Siscarm opened his mouth to speak, but shut it again. Though the people here thought differently, he still didn't. It was still incorrect in his eyes. Perhaps this was how Shahgag felt when she talked to him? It was rather unpleasant.

Margle finally raised her head and looked slowly over at them. Her eyes were clouded with cataracts, milky-looking and a little creepy, but she could still see slightly out of them. But she could tell by scent they were newcomers. "New arrivals...? More?" she asked in a slow, croaky voice.
"Yes, Margle," said Nephtilla. "They are from the Shadow side...but are not full of the shadows in their hearts."

Siscarm was beginning to grow weary of this laballing. All the pople he had met thus far had been either of 'Shadow Tribe' or the 'Light Tribe', and it really was getting tedious. Even so, he did not complain.
This was not about him, he was insignifigant, this was now about Shahgag. Perhaps this former member would tell her about the wonderful things here, and that would make her believe. A random stranger had less value than an elder of one's own tribe, and he hoped that she had some words to say...

"It matters not where you come from," said Margle slowly, she seemed to say everything slowly, "but where you are going. I have said this for years. You two are welcome here no matter where you are from. And this tribe needs new blood."

Siscarm was touched, or likely would have been had he been a more easily touched person. This elder that he had never met before was saying that they were eligable for a position in the tribe. Even so, Siscarm didn't understand if this were common or not.
Opening his mouth, the Absol was planning on saying a few words of his own, but he didn't get the chance. A piercing cry broke through the air, and the other pokemon immeaditaly broke into action. The pups and unhealthy ran towards the north, accompained by a few of the warriors as an escort. The other warriors took various defensive positions around the two.
There was no doubt in his mind. They had been found by BloodTribe. As he looked to Margle, he saw that she had been taken away by a warrior escort, and was being evacuated. Siscarm looked around him. Everything was in a perfect formation for the defense. The bushes and trees formed a wall that caused attackers to be forced to two choke points, where large numbers of Absol stood waiting in the shadows.
Siscarm and Shahgag were standing off to the side, all alone. Siscarm knew what was happening, but he feared for Shahgag. "Shahgag!" He cried out, though his voice seemed far off and quiet. "Get out of here! We've been found!" Siscarm then abandoned her to either obey him or not, but he was going to fight.
Sprinting his way across the camp, he joined the forces to the east, as the cries of war grew ever louder.

Shahgag stood too torn to respond right away. She wanted to obey his orders obviously, since he was still her master, but if she left him, she would be alone here..alone, with Bloodtribe coming. She didn't know where to go.
"Come, with us," said two other absol, motioning for Shahgag to follow. "We'll take you to where the pups are being taken." They could see that Shahgag was young, and because of her stunted size, looked even younger than she really was.
Nephtilla was one of the fighters who stood prepared to battle for defense of her lands. If they lost this battle they would be forced to give up their territory.
A piercing howl broke through the snarls of the approaching tribe. "KILL THEM ALL--But save the Chief for me!" It was a slightly insane-sounding voice, but eerily in command. Luftallah walked along in the centre of the approaching absols, towering over them, looking not like a real absol but some other kind of pokemon related to one. And his putrid smell could be picked up from a ways off. He smelled like poison and rot. "Half of you go that way though those bushes down there, the rest of us will go straight in!"

Siscarm could hear the enemy charge, a tremendous yell that caused him to cringe. He could hear the fighting in the frontlines, where pokemon were throwing clashing blows, killing and dieing in a dance of death. Siscarm wanted to be there, he wanted to help in the fight, but he couldn't. The phalanx that had been formed in front of him was thicker than the walls that kept the enemy out.
But even so, they were winning on that front, not all of the forces of BloodTribe had joined the fray. Siscarm was beginning to get the grasp of what was happening. The enemy was preforming a right flank manouver. He could hear the yips and howls that came from his left, and he watched as the Absol on that side began to form an identical formation, but larger and spread thin. Now was his chance. Sprinting towards the secondary force, he joined the third line of Absol.
AS the fighting to his left grew more and more into BloodTribe favour, as it seemed that the flow of fighters wouldn't end, the east grew silent. There were no war cries for this division, they were the fighters from the conquered tribes. As they lept through the bushes, a wave of fur that seemed to flow with the wind, the second front was confronted, and Siscarm became part of the fight.
A single Absol, perhaps a little big larger than him snarled at the outcast, leaping towards him with a crushing blow. "Well son of a bitch!" Exclaimed Siscarm, dodging the blow with a fast movement. Once the enemy landed on soil once more, Siscarm jumped at him for a blow of his own. There was no others anymore, only Siscarm and his prey.

Shahgag somehow heard Siscarm. "Ijamaku!" She broke from the evacuees and sprinted to his aid. Someone was attacking him and she would not allow that to go on without coming to his defence.
Luftallah led his forces that were winning straight into the heart of the tribe's camp. "We take all the prisoners we can!" he screeched as he and his forces surged up towards the scent of the evacuees. Absol were fighting everywhere, and Luftallah was thirsting for more.

Siscarm wasn't doing too well. Even though he was an avid figher, he wasn't used to the madness of war. While he had been focused on a single target, he would be hit from behind or from the sides. Due to these blows, he had a sizey gash down his side, as well as many scratches on is face and legs.
Dodging an attack from his left, Siscarm spun around and sent a bite through his assilants neck. As the Absol collapsed to the ground, his lifeblood seeping through the wound, Siscarm yelled to Shahgag. "Get out of here! I saved you from these bastards once, I don't think that I'll be able to again!" Spinning around to face another adversary, SIscarm became involved in the dance of death again.

Shahgag finally tore herself away from the battle and made yet another run for it, back towards the evacuees. It was all she could do not to refuse to leave his side. But he had given an order, and a stern one. She fled back through the fighting.
Luftallah screeched, "Your terra is now Ours, weaklings!" as he tore into yet another absol. The absol victim screamed and squirmed to get away, finally escaping, but he didn't get far. Poisoned terribly, he crumpled to the ground, as paralysis took over.
Luftallah turned his sights to his next victim. Siscarm was nearby, fighting with another one of his absols. "You who call yourself a warrior, why don't you fight me!" he shrieked with laughter. His horrible reek filled the air.
"No!" cried the dying absol victim. "Don't fight him--just run. He'll...poison you..."

As the warlord, Luftallah, drew closer, Siscarm saw his enemy draw away, a certain awe in his eyes. The Absol now had about a ten meter berth around him, and the fighting in the immeadiate vicinity settled. It seemed that anyone who knew what was happening had now focused their attention on the two, and the bodies now made a circular arena.
Siscarm looked down at the body that he had discarded moments before. The warning from the Absol had been important, but Siscarm knew that if anyone was going to challenge this giant bastard and win, it would be him. And if he succeeded, than most of the enemy's army would disperse, no longer held under the fell banner.
Siscarm slowly turned, bringing himself to face the warlord. Spitting out the blood that had pooled in his mouth, he gave him a crooked grin. "So long as I still breathe, this terra is of the free people. If you want to control this land, you'll be taking my life along with it." With that, Siscarm set himself into a defensive position. Not even a single hit could connect, so this would be very hard.

"Your valiant words ring hollow!" screeched Luftallah, who despite his size seemed to have a higher voice than normal. Or maybe it was because he never spoke with a regular tone, always a screech. "I'll forget them quite quickly once your worthless carcass lies bleeding in the dirt." And with that he lunged out with huge, fluffy dirty buff-white paws with their black claws and aimed a Rock Smash attack at his opponent.

Siscarm wordlessly rolled out of the way of the attack. Even though Luftallah was large and powerful, his great size completely demolished any chance of a proper dexterity. This made his movements sluggish, and rather easy to dodge. Even so, his large paws showed their strength by plowing a good sized hole in the ground where he had been seconds before.
"Perhaps your poision would be more effective if it could get to my body, oh great one?" He smirked, but did not attack. HIs focus would have to stay on moving quickly, not attacking. He would have to wait, wait until opportunity knocked.

Luftallah was large compared to a normal absol, but he was not a huge pokemon. He could run and jump well. However, the absol opposing him was smaller and swifter than he was. Luftallah snarled, exuding a breath foul enough to make anyone choke. That could have been his attack, but it wasn't. His attack was a Quick Attack lunging out with his claws and teeth. If he could bite the other absol, he would inject his venom.

Siscarm's eyes began to water with the intensity of the stench that Luftallah had just emitted, leaving him rather incapacitated, but from experience of a larger being striking him, Siscarm clumsily rolled to his left, though he was not particulary sure if he was really dodging or just rolling in the dirt. Even so, when he stood, blinking away the tears, Siscarm looked gaily at Luftallah.
"Dodged by a blind man, you really are slipping." Siscarm likely wouldn't have been mocking the larger Absol if he knew that he had come within millileters of death. Even so, he smirked at Luftallah, giving him his sly expression. Ignorance was bliss, and Siscarm was wallowing in his own self confidence. It was a matter of luck, agility, and a bit of a sharp tongue that would really turn this battle.

"You want blind? I'll scald your eyes out myself with my own spit! Oh, that will be fun!" Luftallah was getting tired of this dodger who did nothing but somehow squirm out of the way each time he attacked. He took a wide swipe at him with his big clawed paw.

Siscarm ceased talking. At this point, there was really no need to anymore. His initial objective had been to enrage this monster of a Pokemon enough so that he would make a bad move, and it would seem he just had.
As Siscarm crouched low to the ground, Luftallah's mighty blow glinted off of his blade. Though this brought Siscarm pain and a ringing in his ears, the warlord's paw had skewn slightly off, and Siscarm had successfully broken his guard. With Luftallah's paw now over-exerted, it had left his head rather unprotected. Siscarm knew this, he saw it when the warlord had thrown too much weight in front of him.
With the strength of despair and of honor, Siscarm sent a headbutt into Luftallah's unprotected head.

Luftallah saw the absol go flinging himself into the air at himself, and tried to dodge. He felt the absol's dead crack into his own, however, not a direct hit. Still, it sent him into seeing stars for a moment. He reeled around and snarled. "We're butting heads now, it seems, sheep, and I'll have you eating grass as well before I'm through!" He did not attack right away, rather kept himself out of range until he had fully regained his balance. He launched himself into another Quick Attack at the absol.

Siscarm was rather dazed as his head collided with Luftallah's body, but he managed to stagger back as the warlord snarled in his deathly tone. As the large Absol sent an attack towards Siscarm, he clumsily rolled away. Even though he managed to dodge that blow, Siscarm was very tired. There would be no more dodging after this point, and if there was, it likely wouldn't be of any effect. He would have to end this soon, or at th very least take this son-of-a-bitch with him. Now becoming more sluggish in his movements, Siscarm sent a Crunch attack towards Luftallah's neck.

Luftallah screamed as he felt the jaws of the absol clench down on his neck, barely missing vital arteries. Siscarm had bitten a little too low to kill him, but had still managed a deep bite. He screamed, "If you Kill ME I Kill YOU!" and bared his teeth, and lurched forward attempting to slam down on top of Siscarm while the absol was still attached to him and then bite him and inject his venom.

Siscarm was very fortunate, well, in a sense. As Luftallah screamed and lept forwards, Siscarm had been shaken off of his neck, sending the small Absol skidding along the ground. After he had come to a rest, the warlord attempted to poison Siscarm.
Siscarm still well knew that a single bite from Luftallah would result in his death, but he wasn't so sure about the claws. Seeing as those appeared to be less deadly, and he was already going to be hit anyways, Siscarm flopped himself over twice. This small movement made it so that he was not bitten, rather, kicked about four feet away. Writhing in pain as he slid, he barely managed to get up. The blow he had sustained had been on the same spot as his gash, and caused him much pain, but discipline and determination forced him to go on.
Coughing up blood, Siscarm swayed for a moment, before he found a sweet spot and balanced himself. His voice ever so quiet now, he said. "If that's what I need to do in order to save these people, than so be it." With a final burst of speed, Siscarm sent a second crunch towards the neck. Even if he missed the mark, hitting the same spot, there was a good chance that Luftallah would perish anyways, and this Siscarm knew. He also knew that if he missed, he wouldn't be able to go on. All or nothing now, no grey zone.

Luftallah was still bleeding badly from his neckbite. He wasn't too keen on adding another bite to that one. He screamed with frustration as his bite missed--the leader of the Bloodtribe absols had to get in a venomous hit somehow to polish this pest off. Siscarm then bit him again. Again! This was getting to be more than annoying now, it was getting perilously close to being deadly. Luftallah realised, though, that this bite had also missed his jugular. He turned his head down and attempted to bite into the nearest part of Siscarm to his mouth, which was the absol's scalp.

ooc: Mmmm, facial disfiguration
bic:Siscarm knew he was dead. Or at the very least he was going to walk away from this with a giant scar, perhaps even a missing limb. At the moment his hopes weren't exactly high, as he had now missed twice in a row. He was tired, very tired, the day's fighting, his many wounds, his long travel, all were taking a tax on him.
But a spark arose. Siscarm recognized it, he had felt it when he first lay cold, the first winter of his exile. That night of the storm, when he had lay after being struck by a tree. It was his final hope, and he would have to draw upon it now.
It was too late to dodge this attack, it was well under way, hell, he'd be lucky not to die at this point. So, he made a sacrifice, acceptable since his life was on the line. As if the world had slowed, Siscarm made an attempt to move his head to the left. Luftallah's bite came down with as much force to break one of the great trees, and it came within a single centimeter of taking Siscarm's head off his neck. The sharpened teeth came down, they glinted slightly off of his blade, then came down and tore his ear off.
Though he wanted to howl in the sheer pain of it, he knew that the only part of his body to be afflicted by poison was currently in Luftallah's mouth. This was it. With the warlord's face now in the dirt, the force driving it down, his neck and all of its gore stood out inches from Siscarm's face. With his vision slipping like his consciousness, Siscarm took action, and bit down hard, not planning to ever let go.

Luftallah spat the ear out, not because it tasted all that bad, but because he needed his jaws to be free to strike again. But here was this damned absol, STILL alive, STILL biting, and now with his jaws latched onto his neck AGAIN!
At this point, Luftallah was starting to feel faint from bloodloss. He willed himself to stay conscious, "you're not going to kill me YET, not this time, not ever, I Luftallah am master of all absol! And now I bite thee again!"
He summoned up his last strength and lunged at the absol's head again, not an ear this time, oh no, he was aiming to drive his fangs into the scalp and inject poison into a site quite near the loathesome absol's brain. But Luftallah's aim wasn't quite perfect, being as he had his opponent latched onto him and unwilling to unlock his jaws. There was only so much chewing that his poor neck could take! Of course, the fact that Siscarm was not moving either made Luftallah's job a little easier. It was hard to bite someone whose head was attached to your neck, but it was hard to move said head while it was attached.

Luftallah's attempt at a kill sent his neck in an akward position, and being attached to it, Siscarm was sent into an equally akward position, in which he nearly snapped his own spine in half. Even so, when the warlord came to the realisation that it would be rather tricky to hit someone who is on your person, Siscarm decided to play it safe, and guarentee that he wouldn't be killed in this fight.
The blood loss from his ear was starting to stunt itself, as were his many other wounds, but Siscarm was on the threshhold of death. Using the energy that he could, he began to set his paws in Luftallah's fur, his claws quickly becoming entangled in the matted wool. He couldn't let them get stuch though, and with his head in an akward position, he picked himself up onto Luftallah's back.
Now Luftallah was large, yes, but Siscarm really doubted that he could support an extra being on his legs. Even so, the smaller Absol took no chances. Using the warlord's back as a foothold, Siscarm began to pull on his trapped prey. Of the outcomes he could think of, there really wouldn't be a way for Luftallah to escape, and so his confidence was rather high now as he yanked and pulled Luftallah, intent on severing his spinal cord, tearing too many holes in his neck, or just causing enough pain that the large pokemon wouldn't live much longer.

Luftallah screeched and rolled over onto his back trying to crush the other pokemon. "All you do is bite, bite, bite! Foul little brat!" Luftallah saw stars as he attempted to stay conscious. If he fainted he was a goner for sure. He flopped like a fish, trying to slam Siscarm's head against the ground and crush it.
