Paws before paw, the dog-like creature stepped foreward. Echoes of the past rung in her skull like the figures of the past were beside her. 'The Horde?! Why would you want to go there?' 'What?! You're leaving me for that group of ruffians?!' 'No! Don't go! They'll kill you!'
Ah, she remembered the pokemon that told her such things. Arcanine and Growlithe alike, they were all softer than she. No, Yotoukushi was much tougher, and she would prove it. She knew that the Horde could be found around here, she also knew of their power. Yes, she wished to join and to be trained beneath them. Of course the dakr blue Growlithe knew what could happen, but why wait? The more she trained, the sooner she would be able to evolve. But Kushi-Chan was only a pup, a mere whelp. Would the Horde be willing to train her? Only one way to find out.
"Hey! Horde! I wanna ask a question!" She howled to the sky. "Come out and meet me face to face!" True, Kushi-Chan was a bold little puppy, but she wasn't stupid, if the Horde didn't seem like what she wanted it to be, she's have to be taken prisoner, then break out.

A growlithe was walking towards the howling blue member of his own kind with intent and purpose to his pawsteps. "The first thing you must know about the Horde and never forget," he growled at her, "is that we ask the questions, greenie. Who are you and why are you trespassing?"

A Skarmory sliced through the air with ease, scanning the earth below with eerie yellow eyes. His search was for pokemon, pokemon unfortunate enough or foolish enough to wander into the Horde's domain.
His search ended when he spotted a growlithe; and oddly colored growlithe. Not that color mattered to Scar, either way, this pooch was prey. With jet fighter like maneuvers, he descended on the canine, landing in front of him and blocking his path. "What is your business on Horde territory, whelp?" He hissed.

"I am Yotoukushi. And I won't forget that. My treason is mistaken. I wish to be trained, so I came to the Horde. I have heard many things about the Horde, and so far, they all appeal to me nicely. Though I am young, I am willing to work for strength at whatever cost."
Kushi-Chan spoke proudly, a slight smirk across her black-lined maw as she spoke. Her eyes met with those of the two pokemon before her.

"Once of the Horde, always of the Horde. You have made your choice, pupling." The growlithe noticed her smirk. That'd be one thing trained out of her before they were through.

"Thank you. At first, I was curious as to whether the Horde would take on a pup."
Her statement was clear. Kushi-Chan suddenly didn't feel as bold as before, but different. She looked at the other growlithe, wondering who he was. "Would it be too troublesome of you to give me your name?" she asked. She wanted to know who this was.

Scar remained silent as the other growlithe, a fellow servant of the Horde, addressed the greenie. All the while, he was sizing the odd colored canine up, trying to spot weakness. She seemed set on joining the Horde, it would be interesting to see how she handled her training. Pokemon with spirits like hers, were always fun to break.

"The younger the better," said the growlithe. "Older pokemon are too set in their ways, too into themselves. Now that you're in the Horde you are a Horde member first and foremost. You would give your life for your comerades upon orders."

"I'd do that anyways if I had comrads before the Horde." She said softly. It was true. In her old pack, she had no friends, no reason to fight. In the end, that was why she left. "Might I have the pleasure of knowing both of your names?"

"Scar." The metal bird replied gruffly.
((Sorry for the shortness, I gtg.))

"I'm Grurkin," said the growlithe. "It's time to bring you to our captain for training. Time to break you in."

"Scar and Grurkin. I won't forget that." Her reply was bland and nearly emotionless. "Okay then. I'm ready." She barked.

"This way." Grurkin led her through a field towards the great jagged peaks of the ruins. They stood out as the only feature in all of Erymire with perfect vertical planes. Those perfectly straight lines gave it an alien feel.

Yotoukushi followed him without question. "Okay." She wanted to know who would be training her though.

Grurkin led her towards the Fortress around the side of it. "Captain Florella, I found a greenie for you sir."
"Great," said an arcanine, turning around and seeing him. She looked the young growlithe over. "We'll be going on a hunt soon, you'll come with us and prove your worth. What is your name, whelp?"

'I am Yotoukushi, sir. And I will gladly go on the hunt with you." Kushi-Chan looked up to the arcanine, her eyes sharp and showing loyalty.

"Captain Florella," said the arcanine. "And this hunt's going to be a preparation for a mission we're on. Some prisoners busted out with the help of a few greenie traitors. Orders are to hunt them down and kill them."

((The greenie traitors...you mean Carni and Huzza and the gang, right? Are we going to hunt them down? 'Cause I'd be totally on board for that.))
Scar stood in the background, saying nothing. He simply waited on his next orders.

ooc: yup! They killed a captain, they're definitely on the Horde's hit list!
ic: "Scar, you're to come with us too," said Florella. She barked to a few other canines, and they headed over to her. She named three of them, a houndoom, another growlithe and an absol. "You three are going on the hunt with us too. We've got a greenie with us, so make sure we leave some work for her!"

"Yes, Captain." Scar replied gruffly. His predatory eyes glinted dangerously; nothing brought this mindless monster more pleasure than spilling blood.

Yotoukushi looked to her new captain. "Yes, Captain." She couldn't believe this. She licked her lips softly. It had been a good while since she has tasted blood.

Captain Florella led them out towards a good hunting area. They would hunt tauros and miltank, one of the best large prey pokemon to take down. They were a challenge.

Kushi-Chan followed her captain loyally to a large field where tauros and miltank were grazing. She guessed that this would be the prey. She waited patiently for her captain's orders.

"We're not going to waste this hunt on a calf," said Florella. "We take out an adult."

Scar's steel talons twitched, eager to wrap themselves around a meaty target, as the Skarmory awaited his orders.

Captain Florella selected a beefy-looking tauros as the victim. Tauros looked like the stronger animal, but they were actually easier to take down than the cows were, she had found. "That one. Scar! Circle around the other side and attack from the sky as we rush at it from here. Kushi, Grurkin, get ready to rush out at it...Now!" Florella took off, the arcanine running like the wind towards her target. Grurkin shot out at it as well.

Without hesitation, Scar took to the air and winged his way toward the bull his captain had picked out. he moved into position, then dive bombed the beast, who took off running to avoid the attack. Scar snapped at his tails and chased him toward the waiting jaws of the canine pokemon.

Florella unleashed a barrage of flames at the tauros, then remembered to temper her attacks. She needed to let Kushi prove herself.

Kushi-Chan listened to her captain, then on signal bust foreward in a dash. Scar was attacking it from the sky and her captain released her furry as flames. Kushi-Chan followed suit, and though she was young, she released her own rage. Flames spouted from her jaws and partially engulfed the tauros. She waited for the flames to die down somewhat, then relased another spout of fire.

The tauros was dead in moments from all the flames surrounding him. He died somewhere between Florella's flamethrower and Kushi's.
Florella stood back and watched the prey die. "Good work...good work."
