"Yup, all gone," said Inigo. "Whew. Talk about an exciting day, eh? Had a couple of troublemakers...now time fer some downtime kiddies! Wanna play an inside-the-den game before bed?" He had been planning to take them out of the den today, but figured that he would wait until tomorrow to bring it up. The kits all seemed too scared to want to go outside right now and he couldn't blame them.

Inigo laughed. "Let's play something everyone can play together."

Inigo giggled. "Okay, you want to all play Peekaboo, Peekaboo it is." Inigo put his paws over his face, then opened them at Crimson, hoping to make him smile. "Peekaboo."

"Peekaboo!" Inigo repeated it with Violet this time.
Rainbow reached up to touch his father's nose before Inigo had closed his paws over his face again. He burst out giggling. "I gotted you! I gotted you!"

A slight smile came onto Crimson's face. Hiding behind Violet, he got ready, then pounced onto his father's back and began chewing on one of his ears.

Inigo tried to grab hold of Crimson and set him down, but by now Rainbow was climbing up onto Inigo's back.
"Gotchoov! Gotchoov!" Rainbow tried to "tackle" his dad.

Elly could help but laugh and join in the fun. She playfully tried to push Rainbow off of Inigo's back

Rainbow rolled off of Inigo's back easily and landed on the bedding on the other side of him, but it didn't hurt. He just propped himself up onto his tailtip and climbed back up again. "Gotchoov!" he cried through a fit of giggles.
"Yeah, you got me all right," said Inigo.

Elly smiled. "Well, mommy does love you whole bunches." Elly lied down to watch them play. Violet went over and cuddled up next to her mom.

Rainbow snuggled up against his mother, under her chin, and lay there sucking on his front paw. He snuggled close to Violet as well, on one side of her.
"Awwwwww," said Inigo. "You can love me too you know. And play with Mommy."
"I know but it's not as good," said Rainbow.

"Yea!" Rainbow started up the run, eager to get out there for the very first time.
"Hohohohoooooold it there mister, lemme go first," said Inigo. "I'm gonna make sure nuffin's out there." He headed up out the hole and looked, listened, sniffed around. It seemed safe. "Kay kiddies, come on up!"
Rainbow padded out the den and toddled out into the open. He squinted in the unbearable light. "Oh, it's LIGHT up here!" He put his paws over his eyes.

Putty was taking a nap in some of the tall grass some ways awasy from their den... but the breeze was heading towards the den from where he was
