Name of species: Buttercup Dennukai
Elemental type{s}: Electric
Size: rams average 12'6", ewes 10'0"
Method of reproduction: sexual. Pregnancy lasts 14-15 months.
Description/Appearance: Buttercup Dennukai are named for their rich yellow colouring--the exact shade of a buttercup. They have this colour over their bodies with a few groups of spots here and there of darker yellow or golden brown, randomly over the yellow area of the body. The belly is a lighter cream yellow. They resemble heavily built ampharos with goat-like horns on their heads as well as 7 to 9 small horns sprouting from the backs of their necks and shoulders, along the spine. This is a characteristic of all Dennukai species. Both males and females have them, nearly the same size, but the males' head horns are larger. Females have head horns only about 8 inches long. The buttercup Dennukai have brown to black eyes. Their horns are from ivory to tan.
All dennukai have a pre-evolution that evolves through battle. This pre-evolution is a lot smaller and has no spinal horns, and only tiny button horns on the head. It is very chibi.
Disposition: Buttercup Dennukai are generally peaceable and jolly pokemon. They are not the brightest pokemon around, but are one of the most intelligent species of Dennukai; they are considerably smarter than their cousins the hill Dennukai. They are not as strong as hill Dennukai, but still very strong.
Habitat: They like everywhere from mountains to open fields and plains. They prefer open areas and dislike forests. In places where hill Dennukai also live, hill Dennukai tend to bully them around a bit when food is scarce. However, buttercup Dennukai are not weak to water whereas hill Dennukai are, and they use this to their advantage when they have to. Usually, though, the two species of giant sheep get along well enough to share the land.
What does this pokémon eat?: Anything from grass to bushes to tree leaves.
How common is this pokemon?: Relatively common in their habitat. They are found in the southwest region of the main continent. In the Erymire region, where most truly giant pokemon have not appeared for thousands of years, they have become more common than they were.
