Berry Collecting (WIP)

Skyla nodded her head and quickly but gently grabbed Pechina and put her on her back. "Come on follow me we have to get back to my den quickly" she chriped than took of making sure Perri was right beside her. She was happy to see the sun was starting to rise. "Where almost there I can see my tre know. As she reached the tree she slowly but surely climbed up to her den still clinging to pechina. As she reahed her den she set Pechina in the corner, She grabbed an oran berry and squeezed some of it's juice into her mouth. Than she ran out to make sure Perri was ok.

Pechina woke up coughing on the berry juice. She winced and yelped as she felt pain when she coughed, a lot of pain. She also felt it when she breathed. "I...what happened...why do I hurt..."

Skyla scrambled back up the trunk hearing Pichina's voice. As she stepped in a releaved smile apeared. "Are you ok why did that Kangaskhan take you don't worry I'll take care of you" She said. She turned around and stuck her head out of the entrance and looked down looking for Perri. a nervouse chirp escaped her when she didn't spot her.

"She lost her baby and she wanted...a new baby," said Pechina. "That's why she taked me. Ow...my ribs...they hurts..."

[Perri]

Perri had no strength left to keep up with Skyla's pace. Lagging far behind, she carefully followed her scent trail, wary all the while that the kangaskhan would follow her or try to enact revenge. <And the sun's coming up...I have to hurry, hurry, really have to hurry...I'm afraid of being out in the daytime...>

She tried to quicken her pace, only to collapse and stumble as her injured paw buckled from the excessive stress. <I'm not going to make it back to Pechina....or Skyla......at least not today.....> She pulled her tiny body into the withered remains of a dead stand of knotweed, curling up in a tight ball under the leaves and loam. <But by night the scent trail could be gone, and then I'll never find my way back there. What am I going to do?> Whimpering, she rested her muzzle on her forepaws and huddled close to the ground, as the early rays of morning spread out over the horizon.

Skyla noticing that Perri was no where in sight went back in. "Pechina I have to go and look for Peri I'll be right back you stay in here and rest I'm not surprise you hurt so much after the Kangaskhan fell on you." She chirped than quickly climbed the tree and started to follow the trail back. She could scent her Pechina. She had made it half way back when she though she smelled a strong scent of Peri. "Perri are you hear come on we have to get you back to the den before the sun is fully up.

[Perri]

Perri lifted her head shyly, happy and relieved to see that Skyla had returned for her. "You...you came back for me..." She was touched by the gesture, and carefully pulled herself to her feet, limping over to the eevee and leaning up against her leg. "I don't have...any strength left, though. Can.........you carry me?"

Pechina lay her head back down. Too injured to really be in the mood for talking, she lay where she had been put.

Skyla could tell Perri's leg was hurt pretty bad. She looked up at the quickly rising sun and gently grabbed perri betwean her teeth and went to put her on her back. Making sure she was ecure she smiled. "hang on tightly" she chriped before quickly dashing back to the tree. As she reached the tree she slowed down apace and grabbed Perri betwean her teeth agian and started to climb the tree. A releaved smile apeared as she stepped into the den She layed Perri down beside than colapsed from exaustion. "I don't think I could have taking another step" she panted. It wasn't easy carying Pechina and running here then going back for Perri carying her and than running back here again. It was hard work and she was tired. She grabed three Oran berry's she gave one to Pechina one to Perri and she slowly nibbled on the third one leting the heeling juices flow through her body and quickly building her strength back up.

[Perri]

Perri rested her head on the Oran Berry, too exhausted to take a single bite. Sighing, she curled up around the fruit and fell asleep, twitching her ears anxiously as she slipped into the realm of dreams.
