Making A New Friend

[Valor]

Valor chased Togepi to Alctraz's Alcove. They both stopped to wait for Jay.

Oddo ran up to Valor and Togepi. "Will you be my friend?" Oddo asked. "I have no friends, because I'm small and weak. So can I join your group?" Oddo asked.


"I'll ask Jay so wait a second" Valor said.

[Mei]

Jay prowled after Valor and Togepi, his eyes shifting back and forth warily. The young Shinx still wasn't entirely convinced that joining this group had been a good idea, but you never know...
His eyes widened slightly as he caught the scent of a new Pokemon up ahead. Breaking into a run, he hurried to catch up with the Charmander.
A spark crackled through his blue fur as he glared at the Oddish. "What are you doing here?"

[Valor]

"This was supposed to be the day I go into the wild and fight my own battles. I have lived with my family for a while and they said it's a good idea if I go. My brothers are are bigger than regular Oddishes and I'm smaller than regular Oddishes. They say I'm small and weak, that i can't accomplish anything. My brothers said they would take me to a safe place today, but instead they ditched me here. I'm very scared!!!" Oddo said.

[Mei]

Jay nodded slowly. His expression indicated that he didn't care, but his heart went out to this small, scared, Oddish.
It does look pretty scared... And it would be mean to just ignore it.
But another member will slow us down. We're already moving really slowly...
The Shinx looked back over at Valor. "What do you think?"

[Valor]

"I think...well... what else is he going to do? It might be awhile until someone sees him here. I say it's really up to you Jay, you are the new member and i want you to feel some responsibility." Valor said.

[Mei]

"I say it's really up to you Jay, you are the new member and i want you to feel some responsibility."

Well, that was unexpected.
The young Shinx blinked. 'Um..." He couldn't tell exactly what Valor meant by that comment. was he trying to include him... or being sarcastic?
Rubbing his paws against the ground, Jay stalled for time. "Well... I guess I can't say no, can I?"
It wasn't really an answer, but it was the best he could do.

[Valor]

"I'll take that as a yes. You can come along Oddo." Valor said. Oddo jumped up and down excitedly. Oddo walked over to Jay and thanked him.

[Mei]

"You're welcome," Jay replied, avoiding Valor's eyes. I don't think this is a good idea... He nodded curtly to Oddo, and then looked away.
"Should we keep walking? it'll be dark before we get anywhere at this rate."

[Valor]

"I can roll fast!" Oddo said because he thought that Jay thought he would slow them down. "I guess we should just call it a night." Valor said as he started to lay down.

[Catheri]

Leo was laying down all nice and cozy only to be woke up! 'The nerve of some pokemon! All I want his a nap and relaxtion!' The Glameow lifted his head up in the direction of the voices. 'Maybe if I'm polite they will be quieter.' He slowly got up- and not before streching- he walked torwards the group of pokemon. "Hello. Can you please keep it down?" Leo's tail was twitching slightly. He was easily aggravated.

[Valor]

"Yes" Valor said. "We're trying to sleep too, it's late." Valor said.

[Mei]

Jay flinched as he heard the Glameow's meow. Embarrassed at showing how he had been startled, he looked away and narrowed his eyes. Grr...
Sparks crackled through his fur as he turned back to Leo. "Don't tell us what to do!"
