Kiara now nipped at the Houndoom's heel now that they got closer to the suspecting cause of her being able to become a shadow pokemon. That upset her. She wanted to become one. It ignited more fear in others who were not shadow pokemon. She weaved past the Houndoom and through the other pokemon. She slowed as she neared the hole. Carefully she peered into the hole, a quizical look on her face. What's an Aruseus? she asked quietly, mostly to herself. Once satisfied she backed up and weaved her way back towards the Houndoom and the other recruit.

Dalla, who didn't want to loose her recurit in all this huff, answered the vulpix. "A god of the light ones. Bigger than a rapidash, but built in the same fashion. They're trouble," answered the umbreon, hearing Kiara's soft question.

" Yes, they're trouble, and there's not much we can do about them," said the houndoom.
An arcanine came down into the hallway. " Move it along--get back to your duties," he bellowed at the crowd. " There's nothing to see here unless you intend to patch this hole up."

Kiara glanced at the large Arcanine then to the others. Now what? Training maybe? Or maybe finding another way to turn us shadowy or whatever? she asked. Amethyst orbs glanced form the Houndoom then the Dalla, then to the Houndoom again. They were hungry for an answer. She surely couldn't answer it herself.

"Come on," said Dalla, looking at Kiara. "We'd better outta here before someone comes and gets after us about doing nothing. We'll find some shadow left...even if that fuckin god thing has hurt the shadow lord."

" The Horde will always have shadows," said the houndoom. He was still shadow himself, and proud of it.

"Yup," said Dalla. She herself was a shadow, but she wasn't sure if she could turn Kiara to a shadow herself. She'd been here most of her life, but she didn't know the technique. She looked at the houndoom. He looked experianced. "Look I've never done the whole deal..turning Pokes to shadow..can ya give me a hand?"

Kiara noded and stood up. She glanced down the corridor they came then looke dat the multiple other ones. Wonder where they lead? she thoughtstudying them for a bit mroe. Somehting then triggered her back to earth and she snappe dout of her daze. She glanced at the Houndoom and Dalla, ready for one of them to lead the way.

" It won't work," said the houndoom. " The Shadowlord is gone. Can you feel how he has vanished?"

It must have been Dalla's imagination..."But I..." She broke off. The houndoom was right. This was crazy. She had been so used to the powerful dark pressense that she had felt it without it being there! Immediatly, she blushed. "Oh my god," she muttered. This was plain pathetic. She hoped Kiara wouldn't laugh. "Well..ahh..." She didn't know what to do...without the shadow lord..this place would collapse!

kiara watche dhte worry form on Dalla face. Kiara was unphased but it made her think. Well, we dont really need to be shadows ....do we? i mean, you can be just as strong without it. I mean come on, I survived falling into a river without being a shadow whatever, she grunted, shifting her weight form side to side. Sure the shadow lord was porbably very imposrtant because it was their leader. But there seeme dot be enough of them to keep themselves together until the shadowlord can be brought back. There's gotta be a way to get him back, she growled, glancing at the hole again.

" We are still the Horde, even without the shadowlord. We will carry on what he left to us." The houndoom, though, was really very worried. Without the shadowlord to lead them, there would soon be fighting over just who would.

Kiara sighed, she ahd forgotten that they'd need a new leader. Wasn't there a second in command or something? she asked. There was allways an second in command insmart gonvernments. But this was the Hrode. the shadowlord was probably a power-hungry pokemon. Probably threatened by a second in command.

ooc: Legendary, please use quotation marks to mark dialogue. It's in the rules, everyone has to do it.
ic: " There were the captains," said the houndoom. " Mostly arcanines and other powerful pokemon. But if we band together and train...perhaps we can overthrow at leat one of them. They only got their posts mostly because they're big and powerful-looking."

"The shadowlord just had..the power..it just came off him. See we can't even make shadows without him," said Dalla. "I guess -you- are ok not being a shadow, but our recruits..they become no more than a meal if we can't turn them dark. Besides, we are all connected by the shadow of it all..." The umbreon wondered whether the shadow lord would be able to come back. She sure hoped so.

Kiara couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. Appreances were everything now adays. Arcanine's were pretty powerful looking, she would admit that. And if they're trained well then they're powerful. But one Arcanine would be no match for a couple Houndooms or Ninetales, or just a couple of any pokemon. "So they're the ones that would fight eachother for the next Shadowlord position rather then just try to go after him," she explained to herself, looking at the hole. "What was the last Shadowlord, the one that was taken?" she asked. She glanced back at the hole.

" There was only ever one Shadowlord," said the houndoom. "Somehow it came to Aruseus's attention that he existed, and the aruseus did away with him. But you've just given me a great idea. What if we got those arcanines to fight amongst themselves? Then they would eliminate all competition for us."

Dalla nodded. She noticed the houndoom had ignored Kiara's question of what the shadowlord was. She hoped that the vulpix wouldn't notice. Truth told, nobody really knew what the shadowlord -was-. "Yeah," she said. "Those arcanines..they're just attention whores anyway. It'll do 'em good...kick each other's ass."

What a genious idea. A wicked grin pulled across the deceiving face of innocence. "I like that," she said, noding he head and looking at the Houndoom. "We could spread a rumor or soemthing" she said, trying to brainstorm ideas. But they would probably end up gfighting anyways. "Or to got them to fight we can play with their minds. You know, tell one the other wants power then tell the other, so on and so forth," she said, the grin pulling wider.

"I like the way you're thinking girl," said Dalla with a dark smile. That was good. "Yeah...we'll get them started somehow...we'll enjoy the fights and then take over." It sounded perfect. Sure there were flaws, but they could be worked around if they tried to.

" You mean be double agents," said the houndoom. " Well, that's a very tricky thing to do. But done well, it can work wonders. We might need to get a few more pokemon into our team first, though."

ooc: we could contact chancol and crew...?
ic: Dalla nodded. "Sounds like a plan. We'll keep an eye out for others who don't care for the arcanines." She didn't really know anyone else..she'd always been the lone type.

ooc: Hmm maybe. Though two threads about this is fine too. It makes them easier for some players to keep up with.
ic: " I have a couple in mind," said the houndoom. He thought of his buddies Marcol and Harcus.

"I don't know many around here, but you can count me in for sure!" she said with a wicked grin. Ooptics flickered towards the pass where the last Arcanine had disappeared. If Pyro were he, he would help in a heart beat. She sighed, not letting the small bit of sorrow show in her emotion. She realized showing emotion could show your weaknessess. She didn't need that. "While we recruit others secretly, it would be wise to grow stronger ourselves as well," she commented. She herself wanted to grow much stronger and possibly evolve before the plan was fully carried out.

Dalla nodded. "Everyone has room for training." It was a mere comment, not aimed at any of them in particular. The umbreon stretched and wondered if they really had a chance. They needed the arcanines to fight, allies of their own, and to get strong. All while the Horde was still in a rucus for leadership.

Kiara noded in agreement tot he Umbreaon's statement. She herself wanted to get right to it, "Where do we start first?" she asked, speaking in a more hushed tone. She just realized that if any word of this got out of their litte circle then they would be in BIG trouble.

"Yup," said Dalla. "we can go look for Harcus...and Marcol." She didn't like Marcol, but being against him was asking for trouble. He was strong and a real asshole so he was good to have on your side. Fighting him was always a mistake. She glanced at Kiara. "They were the two zangoose we saw."

Kiara noded, recalling the two Zangooses. They seemed... interesting. They was definetly Horde members, couldn't mistake that about them. Each of her tails twitched as she thought some more. They seemed strong and good allies to have. Then something else came to mind, "The Elemental Caverns," she said softly, "How hard is it to get a fire stone?" she questioned. Evolving wouldn't make her stronger, but it would seem like it. Honestly, she wanted to be stronger before she evolved but inside, she really wanted it.
