The Horde had been a great and mighty force, and yet it still is today. Some don't think that.
A dragonite, a dark amber on most of his body, while gray coated his underbelly, walked through the crumbled ruins, which lay afar from the Fortress, yet close enough to see its general shape in the distance. His destination was what once used to be a large gathering hall for humans next to the mountain-side, but with one unfortunate event the hall was crushed by a boulder from above, its large area split into two.
As the dragon-like pokemon neared the ancient hall, it met up with others, a force that wasn't to be reckoned with, about forty to fifty allies from the Fortress. The one thing that would be odd about the group would be that this dragonite was the only one of its species present, even others that appeared to be of draconic decent weren't at this meeting.
Taking control of the meeting, the dragonite's voice boomed over the other pokemon, "As of now, our numbers have increased largely ever since Chancol somehow obtained the powers our first Shadowlord possessed--" stopping, the dragonite noted the two Light pokemon, sitting atop what seemed like the highest stable ruin, but continued his speech, "--and it has seemed like the power of the Horde has declined since then. Time won't be kind if we wait much longer, but we must figure out how to kill Chancol, but control the Shadowpower so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands again," the dragonite's eyes showed pure hatred for Chancol, even though his rant was about the status of the Horde, really, his greed for power had long ago overthrown his desire for the Horde.

From outside of the meeting, Shade grew nearer. He was planning on how to break the news. But it wasn't hard. He entered the meeting, panting lightly. Sorry if I'm interrupting. I was told to find all Horde members as soon as possible. We're going to be attacking Ellyssa soon, since the Light are weakened after the battle! This came straight from Shadowlord Chancol. Shade explained, grinning lightly.

The dragonite's eyes drifted to the Lugia that had arrived, questioning whether or not this newcomer would stay loyal to Chancol or not, a legendary would be very nice to have allied with them. "Thank you for the information, comrade. Tell me, do you prefer the old Shadowlord compared to our current one?" he didn't ask about Amira, since her rule didn't last very long.
The large group had slowly surrounded the legendary bird pokemon as they awaited for their desired answer.

Shade was worried. A question of who he liked better? It was simple to answer, but he wouldn't want to insult Chancol since he was as close to a friend as he could have in the Horde. Well, yes, I prefer him. He gave me a home here in the Horde. If not for him, I wouldn't be here. Shade said, actually meaning it. Why?

Grinning at Shade’s answer, “So you do prefer the old way things were done around the Fortress…”the dragonite replied coolly. If he could persuade Shade to join them by looking at the flaws--few if any, due to his currently short era--that Chancol had, then their rebellion would pass over much smoother, since Lugia could use water based attacks. "I'm just asking mainly due to the fact that it seems that the Horde has been looked down upon as a source of power ever since that scrawny charmeleon took rule...” the dragonite paused, and looked in the general direction that the Light had assaulted from, “If you think about it, the Light could really be ready to attack anytime soon. They chose a good moment to attack earlier since many didn't fight in the war earlier due to their disloyalty to Amira. Even now, the Horde has divided further into many other rebellious groups, hoping that one of them can claim the Shadowlord's power and lead the Horde to glory. Now, would you like to be a part of one of the most glorious era's of the Horde, and reunite this broken group of shadows and rightfully call ourselves The Horde? Or be stomped out along the way?" the dragonite asked, a dark grin on his face.

Shade listened as the dragonite spoke. He was scared to admit it...but he was right. With the base of power just a Charmeleon, no one took the Horde seriously. And the Horde had been split up into groups, such as the one here. And his shadow side was excited at the prospect of being a part of a glorious era of the Horde. But could he admit that? He could. Of course I'd want to help reunite the Horde...and I'd have to admit...the Horde has been looked down upon and not taken seriously since Chancol came into power. Then again, he's not even at his final evolution. Shade sighed. The dragonite was right.

"So? Even if he's not at his final evolution, what difference does that matter? He could have found a fire stone with enough effort and gotten over with it! The ignorant little bastard! He thinks he can rule just by using others to do his dirty-work..." the dragonite snarled. Looking back to Shade, "Are you with us? Or not?" he asked, willing to let this one go if he refused, it seemed like the lugia was uncertain whether or not to join.

Shade didn't know anymore. Chancol was friendly to him, but he didn't know if it was real friendship or just because he was using him. I-I-I dunno...I'll think about it and get back to you. Shade said, confusing himself. He quickly went into the air and flew away. He didn't like this one bit.

Chuckling, the dragonite told the others to stand down while the legendary left the premises. "I have a feeling that he'll be back, we shall wait and see," he said, before the others had started to attack the lugia.

Chain the black raikou form the horde come running up into the ruins. He sees all the horde members. "Hey! The guards on the upper towers of the horde fortress spotted a articino, the one that looked like it was a the battle at the fortress. Keep on your guard!" Chain says then walking off, thinking maybe the dragonite would have something too say stopping him."

The dragonite just kept his back to the audible voice as the raikou walked away. Shaking his head, the dragon-like pokemon already knew that the intellect of the beast certainly wasn't very high, since just about the entire group by now knew of the presence of the two observing the Fortress, whom of which were aligned with the Light, one rule of existence in the world was to know your surroundings as well as you could, and the two Light pokemon were sticking out like sore thumbs.
Continuing to discuss amongst his comrades, the dragonite avoided any important information until he was sure of the raikou's absence. The group picked up and began to travel in the opposite direction of the Fortress, knowing that they could freely leave the area without consequence. It was time to put their own power to the test...yet for others this was a way to finally decide on which side of the allegiance border they would reside on.

*Cont'd from Reign of Fire* [Tag Jespeon]
Chancol appeared in a bright light, not knowing how to deal with his sudden loss of influence over the group that was supposed to obey his every command--not that he expected to obey each and every one of them, but he expected some sort of unity--and to fight as one against a common enemy instead of each other. ~I guess the mysteriousness of the Shadowlord did keep the Horde in check, since the original Shadowlord had seemed to be around forever before it was killed a long time ago,~ Chancol thought, sighing. For now the green charmeleon just sat there thinking of how he could improve his hold on the other sub-factions of the Horde.

The was silence all around the ruins. There were no birds or insects or other pokemon anywhere, infact Chancol was quite alone - untill... With a large flash of green light the brightened the whole area, a large green snake appeared out of nowhere. "Hello Chancol," said Razyor the Rayquaza, guardian of Erymire.

The charmeleon smirked, "Figured I'd get a visit from you sooner or later. What have I done to earn a visit from you, Rayzor?" he asked, questioning why the Guardian decided to visit now of all times. He figured if he was going to die by Rayzor's claw, he might as well know why the legendary was taking the precautions to just assassinate the smaller reptile while he was alone.

The large reptile flicked his tail and smiled at Chancol. "How are you Chancol? I dont believe I've spoken to you since you were a young charmander," he said, curling his tail round and round in a spiral, like a snake. His fierce eyes remained drilling into Chancols all along. "I only want to talk with you Chancol. It is not in my nature to kill unless necessary." His voice remained calm all along apart from a soft hiss in his tone that came with being a snake.

Chancol barely recalled the event, but he guessed that the rayquazaa was right, "Sure...we haven't spoken in a while. So, why do you only wish to talk to me?" The lizard took a seat on a nearby piece of broken wall, oddly enough as if the bricks had been knocked out perfectly in order to accommodate him. Really, he didn't have any idea as to why Rayzor wouldn't want to kill him, or just kill him on the spot if he did want to rid the land of the Shadowlord...temporarily.

Rayzor smiled again. "I want to give you a chance, Chancol," he said simply. "If you release all the light pokemon from your power, all the pokemon you have shadowed, then I will not trouble you again. However if you act against my warning then I will have to stop you by force!" His voice rose at the end of the sentence.

Chancol smirked, "Kill me then. I may not be strong, and I may be somewhat inexperienced with the powers that I have, but if you do kill me...the darkening aura would just return back to the Fortress, which would cause a recoil affect of all the pokemon that had already left my rule to try to obtain it. If you think I've been harsh on the light pokemon, try to wonder what a cold-hearted, hard-core Horde ally would do with it," he wondered what affect his statement would have on Rayzor, yet he wouldn't be surprised at all if there wasn't any hesitation in the Guardian's response.

"Oh I have no intention of killing you Chancol," said Rayzor. "No, when I say 'by force' I mean I will do the thing I need to do - release the shadowed pokemon - and you wont be able to stop me."

"Heh, most are born dark in the Fortress that still remain. Even if you try to influence them, with me in their presence they won't convert. Sorry to say that most of the light's that we have forcefully converted have been used already for their mating abilities and have died off afterwards. There'll be few for you to release, plus unshadowed pokemon will allow me to conduct a new experiment that I've been throwing around in my head," Chancol replied, after a long pause. He had to make sure that he kept his calm, cunning attitude about him, "so be my guest and unshadow whatever is left of the converted lights."

"Chancol, as you know both you and I give off opposite auras, yours being shadow, mine light. Now look at the two of us. And look at how long both of us have worked on perfecting our own auras. Whos aura do you think is stronger if we are both in the same area?" he asked. To prove this, he raised his tail and brushed it over a patch of dead grass. The grass immediatly came back to life, a brighter and healthier green than the rest. Flowers burst into bloom all over it untill the small patch of dead, brown grass had turned into an amazing bed of exotic flowers. Rayzor smiled at his work and looked back at Chancol. "So, to conclude, even fully shadowed pokemon can be unshadowed by me."

Chancol nodded, "True, but I have to say, dim down the flowery stuff, grass is fine," he said jokingly, "Well if you've known for such a long time that you could have overpowered my aura and in addition to that, unshadow pure shadow pokemon, why didn't you do it at first? You could have ended the problem a long time ago," the charmeleon really wanted answers to the Guardian's strange hesitance, but his voice nor body language portrayed it.

Rayzor smiled. "Now now Chancol, why would you want to ruin the suspense?" he said. The real reason was, simply, that Rayzor had been perfecting his techniques, worried that if he attacked to soon and he wasnt ready, he could blow everything.

Chuckling, Chancol responded "There really wasn't any suspense, I've already looked into the reverse effects and the possibility of you attacking. I don't miss much when it comes to questioning the future, sometimes a little bit of paranoia comes in handy," the charmeleon replied, really having thought out a million ways the Guardian's plan could go, but really he couldn't think of how he'd be able to regain his old status back once Rayzor influenced all of the pokemon back at the Fortress.
"I'm guessing you're only moving 'cause you don't want to have any more legendaries ripped from your side, like Deo was, eh?" Chancol said, ending his dialogue.

Rayzor growled slightly. "You've had your warning Chancol. I will not be giving you a second chance," he said, before disappearing in a bright flash of green light, leaving a single, glowing, green scale in his place.

Chancol cursed Rayzor's quick departure, and quickly sent a shadowmessage to Zeelo, Luna and Shade to quickly leave the Fortress, just in case the Guardian did make his move. As long as Chancol had a few followers, the Horde would live on.
The charmeleon's gaze slowly drifted back to the single scale of the rayquazza, and after a moment of deep thought, he quickly buried the scale near the closest building, wanting to experiment with it later. Also, the lizard-like pokemon wondered if his power would allow him to do more than just send messages. Focusing as hard as he could, he slowly began to disappear into what seemed like small black beads, and after a full minute there wasn't a single trace of his body aside from the footprints in the ground of where he stood.
