Thunder and Lightning!

Mica had no personal experience with either cubones or marowaks, save for brief glances from afar. Therefore, when she saw the ground-types, she didn't do much in the way of retreating. She had a lot of faith in what her head-shield could protect her from - at least from the front. Her back end was a different story, which was why she ended up backing up against the nearest tree. She wasn't exactly scared of the marowaks, but she didn't want to end up with one of those weapons smacking her butt if she could help it.

[Irae Kitty Strife]

Irae let out a rather loud squeak and hid in some nearby bushes, watching the cubones and marowaks with wide eyes and shivering a bit from the hostility she felt coming from them. She didn't like fighting that much, and would avoid doing so if she could help it.

One bone was flung towards Sonic and the other pikachus and raichus, with the aim of getting a raichu. That would be a good kill for them to share.

Yik screamed and started to run around trying to dodge the weapons he jumped on the tree but slid down it he couldnt climb he was to young.

{Just about everyone in this thread is, that's why I threw in the marowaks!}

ic: Swirl remained hidden in the tree, as it was not in her kind's nature to try to fight off her enemies.

Hera, knowing that she couldn't do anything either, gets the same idea, and is a few branches away from Swirl.

ooc: Sorry for being late, I've had internet problems...

ic: Sonic retreated to the rest of the clan while Ray was hit in the back of the head. Ray cursed and retreated with Sonic. The entire clan retreated into their many burrows and hiding spots. For the clan, this wasn't their first encounter with these ground types.

Rose squealed in terror and desperately ran for cover. She tore after Ray and Sonic, seeing as she felt more familiar with them than everyone else, and cowered in horror in the burrow.

Yik kept trying to climb the tree and screamed again as a spear just missed his.

Hera glances around her, and then an idea comes to her, she exits the scene as quietly as she can.

((... I'm like the only one that isn't at a disadvantage, aren't I? ))

Irae watched the cubones and marowaks begin their attack, desperately trying to keep from squeaking as the bone went by. She looked frightenedly at Yik as he tried to climb and fall, her small eyes growing extremely wide as she watched the entire episode before her.

One marowak went over to the tree where several of them had scampered up for safety. He flung his bone up through a hole between the limbs.

And that was about the time Hera returned with what looks like a bag of rocks, which is what it was, and dropped one particularly large one on the Marowak's head.

Yik still trying to climb the tree screamed in pain as a spear grazed his back leave a deep cut he was now crying out for help as well.

Irae continued to watch for a few more moments before jumping out of her hiding, shivering a bit as she did. As she removed herself from cover she used her disable attack on as many of the Marowaks and Cubones she could, she glowed lightly as she traced the numerable pokémon's abilities and gave a wiggle of her nose as she gave the group a mean look.

The rock didn't really affect the marowak, who wore a robust-looking skull on its head. The marowak looked up at the tree and then stamped its foot. An earthquake shook the tree violently. Swirl shrieked as she tried to hang on.

It was time for the Raichu to fight back. Ray dug out of the ground behind the leader of the Marowak's and attacked the Marowak with a Iron Tail. Other Raichu from the clan started popping out of holes near the other Marowaks and Cuebones and attacking with a variety of attacks such as Iron Tail, Focus Punch, and Hyper Beam. This clan wasn't about to have to move their home because of some group of predators. Most of the clan pokemon knew Dig, and that attack was great for anything that doesn't fly, and most of the pokemon that fly, they can give a good jolt to.

The marowak was thrown forward by the iron tail attack. He responded by slamming his foot down and producing an earthquake attack. Other marowaks and cubones did the same. The whole area shuddered and shook violently as the ground attacks did their work.

"Hey! Hey hey hey!" shouted Mica, struggling to keep her footing as the earth shivered beneath her feet. She didn't know who she wanted to blame more - those silly bone-heads for unleashing those attacks, or the others for making them do so! "Stop that, STOPPIT!" Led on by a sudden fear that came with the thought of the ground suddenly opening up and engulfing her, the shieldon charged at the nearest marowak. It made sense to her - go after one of the creatures causing the problem, and that should help to stop the ground from moving!

Yik started to weaken from his loss of blood and he slid from the tree's trunk panting trying to stay awake and alive.

The marowak charged at Mica in a headbutt, eager to take down the other pokemon if it could. The ground still shook and trees pitched sideways.

[Master Chief]

The Raichu didn't give up. They persisted with their attacks, hitting the Marowaks with the variety of attacks. The other Pikachu started coming out of their holes, including Sonic and family. The large group Pikachu, a group far larger than the hunting party, attacked, most of them using Quick Attack, and those that didn't know that attack used Double Slap. The Pichu remained hidden.

A shieldon who was old and heavy enough, and who was on stable ground, would have been a decent match for a marowak in a head-butting contest. However, even if Mica had been older and heavier, the ground definitely wasn't stable enough to be in her favor - and so when she and the marowak collided, it wasn't her that came out to be the victor.

Dazed by the impact of the marowak's headbutt, and still having to contend with the movements of the ground, Mica fell over onto her side with an angry yelp. She struggled to get up, but it was far harder for her to get back up onto her feet than it had been to stay on them.

The earthquakes continued especially when the pika-pokemon emerged from their holes. The marowaks and cubones knew they had them now! The quick attacks did a little to drive them back, but the ground types held fast and continued their onslaught of ground moves.

The marowak who was fighting with Mica then threw his bone club at her. She hadn't really been his quarry, but if he could make a kill out of her so much the better.

Irea gave a small squeak as the shaking started but held her ground as best she could, helping the Raichu and Pikachu with her will-o-wisp attack, sending the small little fireballs at the group of Marowaks and Cubones, trying not to hit the speedy lightning rodents that were on her side of the fight.

Mica finally regained her footing just as the marowak's bone club came towards her. The bone caught the edge of her head-shield, near her eye, not enough to properly put her out but enough to sting greatly and cause her to wince and shut that eye.

Tears started to gather at the corners of both her eyes, not only caused by the bone's effects. They were tears of both fear and anger, the former of which Mica was especially ashamed with feeling. Her kind was strong, and proud; she should not be feeling this way due to a stupid bone-head...!!

Her survival instincts chimed in: Give it up, you'll be dead if you continue on this way.

The little pokemon started to run away. She didn't care where or what she ran to, or into, as long as it took here somewhere away from this dreadful place.

The marowak saw her flee and decided to go for some weaker prey. And the electrics would be the perfect target. He joined his tribe in stomping earthquakes to collapse burrows and hopefully kill a few.

Yik started to drag himself away from the fight he couldnt use his back legs but if he could just get to a bush he may be safe for a time.

The Pichu fled from the area, to get to a safe area while the large clan of Pikachu and Raichu continued to attack. Sonic smashed head on into a Cubone's stomach with a Quick Attack. The Cubone's breath was knocked out, and a Raichu made sure to finish the job with a good Hyper Beam into the Cubone's stomach. The clan began to notice the hunting ground pokemon wouldn't give up till they made a kill. Some of the Pikachu began to flee in different directions while the Raichu continued their attack.
