" Ooooh," said Swirl, noticing a pokemon arrive that she had never seen before. It sure looked comical with that big tall head!
But was it friend or foe? In the way of most small creatures, she decided to determine that for herself while staying up here in the tree. She could tell just by looking at the new pokemon that it was no tree-climber.

Izireth was quite left behind by all of it, and started to back into a nice, comfortable bush. Not only because of the fact that the dratini was a predator, and he could hope to fend her off with the horn on his head (Not that he stood a wonderful chance at that, but he couldn't exactly climb trees like Swirl), but because something was charging towards them.
It certaintly seemed to him that there were a ton of pokemon all here all of a sudden. Maybe the berries attracted them? To calm his nervousness he nibbled on a fallen oran berry, which he placed between his two front feet to eat.

The more new pokemon showed up, the more Swirl was glad she'd scampered up this tree in good time. And until everything was safe again, up in this tree she'd stay.

Swirl listened to her debate with herself. If she thought Swirl was going to take pity on her she could just think again. It wasn't that Swirl was cruel, she was just afraid and had an instinctive dislike of carnivorous pokemon.

Serena sighs, and starts going away, she seems a little hurt by all of this. "Fine, send me away, just like everyone else..." she mutters, just loud enough for anyone to hear.

Mica's charge was cut short by a tree that stood in her way - which didn't matter too much to her, since she appeared to have gotten where she wanted to be anyways. She snorted at the tree as if she were insulted by it being there, and then turned around, expecting to find one of those rodents she'd smelled. However, the first thing she noticed was the large (to her) dratini.
"BIG SNAKE!" she yelped. Snakes were never the biggest of problems back home, as even the poisonous ones couldn't do much damage to her kind and were always discovered and trampled by one of the adults anyways. It didn't mean that they didn't seem daunting to her up close, though. She lowered her head and pawed the ground, trying to look threatening like she'd seen the Trideps do at times.
Of course, she didn't look nearly as intimidating as a Trideps did, so much of the intended effect was already lost.

Swirl felt bad for anyone who couldn't get themselves up a tree in times of danger. And should anything try to get her coming up this tree she could find a way to leap to the next. She scampered around from limb to limb looking for a way the shieldon could escape, but couldn't come up with anything.

Volert scratched his head in puzzlement. He'd slipped into a bush when the dratini had appeared and now watched curiously. No way would he reveal himself yet.

Swirl was hungry, so she reached up and plucked another green apricorn from a branch. She sat there shelling it, the shells landed not far from the dratini and shieldon.

Mica didn't quite believe the dratini's words, since...well, what if it were lying? Regardless, she seemed to back down slightly, though she still kept a steady gaze on the serpent.
At least, until she took notice of the apricorn shells landing on the ground. Her first thought was that someone had tried throwing the shells directly at her; she looked up into the tree. "Who did that?" she asked. She stared at Swirl, the only pokemon she could see up there.

Well, at least they haven't tried to attack me yet, Serena thinks, wishing that other pokemon would just accept her for what she was on the inside, not the outside.

A slight rustling came from a nearby empty bush for a few moments before a slightly smaller-then-usual, slightly oddly colored, Ralts came out, looking a bit lost and quite a bit worried as she looked around. Oh... I seem to have taken a wrong turn! POO! she thought.

Swirl was still waiting to see what would happen with the dratini, but it seemed as though nothing was so she slowly began to climb down the tree with the intent to help protect the shieldon. The two of them together out fo be a match for it. " Hi-hi green-hair pokee! I Swirl."

By this time, Serena is out of view.
A Skitty with red fur runs into view, out of breath she stops in front of Swirl. "Have you seen a smaller than average Dratini?" She asks in a voice that sounds more like a meow than anything.

Sonic stayed hidden, but with the dratini gone, he decided to have some fun. He randomly jumps out of the bush and lands in front of the group and shouted "BOO!!!" Then he laughed so hard that he fell over.

"I don't need anybody to help me get safe," Mica said to the Pachirisu. "I can get myself safe all on my own."
She gave a small, annoyed roar at Sonic's little stunt, and then pounded the ground with both her front feet. She hadn't yet realized it was a pikachu she was looking at, due to it being blue - all she'd ever seen were the ones of the normal yellow variety. After being on alert after seeing the dratini, having something come out and shout something wasn't her idea of humor. "That's not funny!" she growled.
