Today was a whole new day, the weather great and warm. Crimson Rose found herself enjoying the scenery, her mind numb on the fact of her past and all her troubles, atleast for now. Over-sized paws fell onto the ground, thudding softly as she padded forwards, her bird-like tail hanging limply behind her. The pup's gaze searched around her, a new area was like a new game, who knew what to expect or find. Wings were tucked neatly at her sides, and the pup's ears were flicked forwards, listening to anything that made a noise.
As the pup made her way into a clearing, the smell of fruit captured her attention, winning over her mind and causing hunger to strike. With a low growl the hybrid made her way towards a tree, wings flapping in an attempt to lift her off the ground. Being half Pidgey meant she wasn't fully developed, nor was she normal. Her other side, a Growlithe, making her look like some freak of nature. Atleast in her own eyes, anyway. Looking up at the fruit Crimson sighs, "Why must everything be so hard?" Taking a leap, the Pidlithe now attempts to snap at the nuts, her wings not helping the matter at all.
With each bounce Crimson found herself gaining height, her paws reacting as soon as she was to hit the ground, pushing her upwards once more. Finally, something hit her mouth, her jaws clamped closed. Landing, the pokemon spat out the acorn and ran over to it, claming it now as her own with slobber. Laying down, she then clutches it in both paws and starts chewing around the edges, her small but firm teeth poking into it's surface.

Soft clapping came from the bushes. "Very impressive," a pichu said, walking out. Still young, she had big black eyes that looked deep into the strange pokemon in front of her. Curiousity overcame her. She had never seen a pokemon like this before, and she had certainly never seen one like it try to get food in that manner. Though curious, she kept her distance. In her short life, she had learned on her own not to get too close to anyone she didn't know until she concluded that they were friendly. "If you want a berry or something, I can get you one," she said, smiling. She then laughed. "But your way is interesting too!"

A soft noise filled the pup's auds, her ocean pools raising to linger upon a strange rodent-like creature. The pup allowed her banner to slap the ground, in a small submissive wag in case she planned on attacking her, but then the creature spoke. Tilting her head aside, Crimson smile a large, toothy grin. "Why thanks, Ma'm." She decided to stick to her light hearted mood, knowing that it would be good to recieve friends right now and enemies later.
Picking up the acron the puppy sat erect, her flank twitching as her wings were to fall upon them. The still goofy smile lined her maw, and her banner was still wagging in the grass. Putting the acorn down, she nosed it gently near her tan paws before talking, a light edge to her own tone. "Well these stupid wings hardly work, I can only move them, not fly at all.." With a small shrug, her feathers flicked together, causing a leathery sound and a chuckle to leave her maw.
This pokemon was new to the pup, as she was to it. Maybe, if she didn't know better, the Pidilithe would already be chasing it, her puppy side still strong in her bones; but she was nice enough, and even offered a berry. With a nod now the puppy barked slightly, her auds falling over her eyes as they listened intently to any other sounds around them. "Thank you for the offer," Her gaze lingered upon the Mouse for a moment longer before she rose, barking once more. "Oh! I almost forgot, mummy used to say it was rude to not tell your name, mine's.. Crimson Rose. Daddy used to call me Rose, but I don't like him. I like you, though, you can call me Crimson!"
As excited as she was, the puppy bounded over and dropped the wet acorn at the small pokemon's paws, her back then falling to the ground in a show of friend-ship. Or atleast it was in her ways, or what used to be her ways. The pup's tail slapped the ground a few more times and her paws flicked at her wings, which were pinned under her. The Simple Pleasures of being a puppy, if only they'd last forever.

The pichu smiled. "Nice to meet you," she said. "Everyone calls me Mel," she added. She looked down at the acorn. She picked it up and smiled at it. "Thank you," she said, running towards a bush. A few moments passed and she scampered back with a ripe, blue colored berry in her hands. Repeating the scene that had happened moments before, she placed the berry in front of what she hoped to be a new friend. But instead of backing away, she looked at the dog-like hybrid in front of her. "What were your parents like? You see, mine just kinda left; I never met them," Mel said, sitting down.

The pup watched as the Pichu accepted her offer, a smile growing on her face. As she rose, her wings flapped slighly, her nose running over the blue berry which she then took and pushed against her paws. Listening to the questions, her ears perked and her gaze met the mouse-like pokemon's, "I'm sorry to hear. Mummy told us to go hunting, daddy took us and my siblings were killed by a big pokemon.. He told me to leave and not come back." For a moment Crimson paused, her eyes clouded with past emotions, only to be shaken off as she tilted her head aside and sat back upon her haunches.
Taking the berry in a firm grip between her pearls, the pup pushes down and squirts the juice into her maw; it's blue staining her lips and dribbling down slightly. Allowing her tongue to flick out, she runs it around her muzzle before going back down to chew the skin. "Thanks," Her voice was half blocked out due to the food within her mouth, but thanking the pokemon was the least she could do. "No one had ever got food for Crimson." At times the pup couldn't help herself, her old habit picking back up to use her name. Her tail flicked behind her, the feathers ruffling slightly as she flashed a blue lipped smile towards the Pichu, dubbed Mel. [/sup]

"I'm sorry to hear that," Mel said, listening to the story intently. She watched Crimson eat the berry she found and laughed. "I'm guessing you really were hungry. Lucky I came along," she said. Looking up at the sky, she sighed. "So, where are you going? I mean, there's a reason you're here, right?" she asked.
