Oh, it is a suffucating heart. This is only the beginings, m'loves. Little does the young femme know how much her life shall change...
Upon the bank of the rushing river lied a strange figure. It was soaked from head to toe. The body seemed lifeless. The made her allready dark pelt look almost a black color. Fire pokemon were strange to be spoted along side a river, especially soaked to death. It wasn't like this Vulpix chose to be chased into a river, it just happened.
By some miricle the gods blessed her. The fox-like creature suddenly aroused to life. She didn't get up gradually. No, she sprung up into the air. Her heart pounded, amethyst orbs taking in her surroundings. It was a strange place, one she had never seen before. A strong breeze blew past, sending a shiver up her spine. She was alone, hungry, cold. Perhaps Pyro had something to eat and they could huddle together to keep warm. And that's when it hit her, Pyro was gone. The expression of greif soon flashe dot an expression of worry. Her brother was gone. She quickly turned to the river, tracing the oppisite bank for his body. She catiously stepped closer, looking into the water, "Pyro!" her tiny voice squeeked. The only thing that replied was the rushing of the mighty river. The only one she truely cared was gone. Now what was she to do? She stumbbled away from the river, collapsing upon the sandy bank. She heaved a deep breathe and fell apart. Tears streamed down her burgandhy hide. Her small form contracted in sobs and sighs. She had never been alone before. and now her pesmistic side controled her mind. Pyro was dead, gone forever.
And this starts the transformation. Her life changes, and so does she. The happy little Vulpix is no longer, the snappy and rude Kiara now takes over. Oh, what a suffucating heart. Is there anything else to live for now that she's alone?

"Are you ok?" A large umbreon slipped towards the river. Her navy blue eyes flickered with curiousity. A fire type that had survived the river was perfect for the Horde. And she couldn't go back there without prisioners or recruits. The vulpix looked perfect. Dalla smilied to herself. Perfect. A few more prisioners or recruits would be a good ammount. She'd take them back to the horde and they wouldn't kick her back out. And if they did, it'd be to go and find more Pokemon to bring in.
Dalla was brought back to the real world when she realized that the vulpix -had- spoke. "Pyro?" Was the vulpix hallucinating or something? She wouldn't be surprised if she was, she looked half dead.

She was half asleep, tired form the rid eodwn the river and exahusted from crying. What a pathetic littl ewhimp! Crying! The sudden sound and scent of another arroused her again. She scrammbled to her feet, ears down, eyes locked on the Umbreon. Her head lowered, not sure if this pokemon was a threat or a possible ally. Obivously the Umbreon was much older then her and much more powerful. But still, she thought she may have a fighting chance... at running. there she stood silent, letting the other's words rush over the river in the background. She ha dnever conversed with another pokemon before. It had allways been her abusive parents and the brother. Her parents allways tought to not talk to strangers, but fight them instead. Her parents wanted her to be strong, to be tough, but how she hated them with a passion. She would allways rebel, then get beaten. But now it was over, they were gone, and she was alone, her own boss.
"Ya, I'm fine," she growled, straightening her posture up. she calmed down now. This, what ever it was, seemed to not be a threat, but actually care if she was ok. She glanced back at the river, maybe she would see him one last time. But there was no one. She looked back to the Umbreaon nad shook her head, "No one, nothing," she replied. And that's exactly what Pyro was now, no one and nothing. Well, to her at least. The best thing to do now, would to forget.

"Lost your family?" Dalla asked. There weren't many flame dogs near the river, and that made her think that the half dead vulpix was probably alone. "You're welcome to come with me to my home," she added with a smile. Maybe getting recurits would be easier than she had thought. But then, she couldn't get ahead of herself. The vulpix could run or die at any moment.

"No!" she spat out right away, "I, uh, ran away" she quickly replied, looking away from the Umbreon. She slowly began to shake her body, ridding herself of some of the water weight. But still her pelt was dripping wet and the breeze was giving her the chills. Perhaps a place to go wouldn't be such a bad idea. And if she got in trouble, or didn't like it, she could run away. She had done it once, and she could do it again. "Where's your home? And how do I know I can trust you?" she said between shivers. She tried very hard not to let her teeth chatter, and she did a pretty good job of it. She knew she couldn't trust the Umbreon, and would probably never trust anyone. But she had to do something with her life, get somewhere. She couldn't just sit around all day like a useless pokemon.

Dalla chuckled softly. Herself, she was only 3 years old, but she'd grown most of her pup like attitude out after being brought to the Horde as a captive. "My home? Oh it's in the east. In the mountains. A home to more than dogs. It's...kind of a training camp. Everyone becomes strong." She made sure to make the Fortress sound like a nice place to be. It was for her, but she knew many Pokemon feared her home.
"And trust me? Well I don't know. You'll have to decided on your own. Are you hungry?" She was starting to get hungry and she bet that the wet vulpix would be as well. "And, by the way I'm Dalla."

Training camp caught her attention. A small smile grew across her mug, "Really?" she grinned taking a step closer to the Umbreon. She threw things around in her mind a bit before answering. But getting stronger was something she definetly wanted to do. And yes, she was hungry. Homes allways had food and that sounded great right now, "Ok, I'll come with," she decided. She knew if she said no she'd regret it later. And plus, the home would be protection until she got stronger too.

Dalla smiled. She'd ask for the vulpix's name later. "Excellent. We'll start heading back soon...it's not exactly near." She paused and stood up from her crouch. "Are you up to hunting? Or shall I go alone?"

She had forgot the Umbreon had told her her name. So perhapds hse shoud tell her her's, "Oh yea, I'm Kiara. And hunting sounds good," she shruged standing up. She oculdn't let a little fall like that stop her form going on with everyday life. She needed to be tough and resume the status quo, if possible. But still, she longed for a bit of andventure in her life. Excitment and daring challenges sounded good. She walke dup next to the Umbreon, "Where do we hunt?" she questioned glancing at the river bank then the radually thickening forest infront of her. Honestly she didn't want to go anywhere by the river right now.

"Heh nice name," said Dalla. "Where? Oh we'll move off the river and into the deeper forests and just generally had east towards my home. It'll be a few days though, there's no hurry home. Is there anything in particular you're hungry for?" If there was, then they could look around for it. If not, than they'd just hunt whatever they could bring down and would feed them. She was thinking along the lines of a stantler fawn or a bulbasaur. They both were forest dwelling Pokemon that would make a good meal for a vulpix and an umbreon.
Dalla wasn't much of a plains hunter, as the plains Pokemon were often large and extremely fast. Besides, they were on the forest side of the river. She looked eastward. The trees grew taller as the forest thickened and in the distance the mountains that she called home rested.

A tiny growling sound came from the Vulpix's stomach. An ironic smirk crossed her maw. Boy was she hungry, I'll take anything she said honestly. When said anything, she ment anything. As soon as they caught a scent, or saw something they could bring down, she was up for it. She wasn't an experienced hunter. She ahd hunted once or twice with little success. She was young and ready to learn. She touhgt she should warn the other of her flaw, but she wanted to keep up her distinct, and confidnet mind set. She wanted to show no weaknessess.

"Ok then," said Dalla, with a chuckle. "Let's go then." The umbreon set off into the forest, occasionally stopping to scent the air. So far, nothing. But that would soon change. After the thrid or fourth pause to scent, she smelled grumpig. "Grumpig," she growled quietly to Kiara.
ooc: I'm moving this thread to the rainforest. I'll put up some simple topic name, but you're welcome to change it if you think of something better. ^_^
