Lelaka watched as Diamanta appeared as if she had been cued in onstage. "Hi Diamanta," said Lelaka to the older aruseus. She wondered what lies the other pixies from Arua had been feeding the aruseus'. She hoped nothing they would believe. Guardians or not, her kind was a generally gossipy species.

" Hello Lelaka," said Diamanta. " It's good to see you well."
" Where's Father?" said Alcatraz. He could not sense him anywhere nearby, in psychic form or not.
" He's off in the Higher Plane, I came alone because we wanted to minimise the number of aruseus in one place, lest it gathers any more attention to this place than it already has. Did you want to talk to him? I could get him for you."
" No," Alcatraz shook his head slightly, " not any more than you, really I jut want this whole conflict to end."
" There are at least a few aruseus with whom you may never be able to make up," said Diamanta.
" That wouldn't include Delia and Arch, would it?" said Alcatraz, referring to Dimity's parents. He had known them as a young alcinna on the islands...they had been like aunt and uncle to him.
" That may be," said Diamanta. " I'm sorry."
" I just...I need to know there's some way I can make up with them. Let them know I'm not worthless." Alcatraz wanted to make up with them just because he wanted to preserve what he had had with them back then, but also, he realised, if he did end up winning Dimity's love, it would be quite awkward with her parents hating him.

"Thanks," murmered Lelaka. ~At least I look ok,~ she thought to herself, not bothering to conceal her thoughts. She knew both aruseus could look for them if they cared to, but it wasn't worth concealing them. Some thoughts were worth concealing and this wasn't one of them.

Alcatraz trid to give Lelaka some encouragement. ~Maybe I can talk to your parents, if they'd let me.~
"Worthless isn't what they think you are," said Diamanta to her son. " They think you're mad, and dangerous...and all around evil. It's pretty bad."
All this over a suicune, who wasn't even alive anymore. What a way to keep Ankh's memory. " Well, there's one thing I want and that's to see Dimity soon. Will she be at the convention on Atuna Piaru in five years?"
" Five years?" Diamanta looked at him a little oddly, " who told you it was in five years?"
" Someone up...in the beginning dimension. The Higher Plane." Alcatraz's brow furrowed a bit. " Why?"
" It's in less than a year and a half," said Diamanta. " At the summer solstice next year. And I'm sure she will be there. But really--you don't want to see her, it might only upset you more. She's devotedly mated to Snevu now."
" That's what I was told, and yet there's been no ceremony that I was invited to," said Alcatraz.
" They haven't had it yet--but would you have wanted to go, had it already taken place?" said Diamanta.
" Yes," said Alcatraz.

Lelaka listened curiously. So Alca's long lost love was all over some other aruseus. Sick. But that was love. At least she hadn't had to see Kuru with someone else. Just see him dead. She cringed inwardly and bit back tears. She couldn't burst into tears with one thought of Kuru. Here Alca was keeping a straight face while his mother said that his first love was happy with some other aruseus that probably thought of Alcatraz as common bullshit.

" So...it would be best that you not see her," said Diamanta. " That's all. Let it go."
" I still want to," said Alcatraz. " If your long lost best friend was snatched out of your life and kept forcibly away from you for almost two hundred years, wouldn't you want to see them again? Regardless of whether they were available or not?"
" She wasn't forcibly kept from you," said Diamanta.
Alcatraz gave her a neutral look. " What do you call it then?"

Lelaka wondered what had really happened. She heald her breath and then asked, "Umm...Diamanta have you heard anything that the pixies from Arua said...do they..still hate me? My parents..too?"

" There are mixed feelings about you, but most of them wouldn't object to your coming back. Your parents...well...there is still a lot of bad blood there, but I haven't seen them in a few years now," said Diamanta, glad to avoid the subject of Dimity. She wanted Alcatraz to avoid her specifically until Dimity and Snevu had finally had their mating rites. Then they could meet again all they wanted to. The trouble was that she didn't know if they even had the rite planned yet. But try as she did she couldn't lie to him. She had to tell him the truth about Dimity being at the convention. Everyone would be there. Perhaps if Alca went, he would see her with Snevu and that would be the end of it.
" So it's only a year away," said Alcatraz. It was getting close to summer now, the temps were heating up and the solstice was near. On the solstice it would mark a year until he finally laid eyes on her again.

Hachi watched silently. He stayed polite, and forced himself not to stare at the three...gods. He blinked to himself. What power they must have... He thought. And yet, they felt pain. "Your not worthless..." He said, "You helped these Bulbasaur and gave me hope that I might find my friend."

Alca smiled down at Hachi. " Thanks. I know I'm not worthless. No one's worthless. Just that the situation between me and some of my kind isn't good. I'm hoping it gets resolved in the future." The near future.
~I would prefer you not discuss the issues of the aruseus with lollen,~ sent Diamanta to her son. ~These are things for us and a few other kinds alone.~
Alcatraz realised the wisdom of that, but really...he didn't think it would be the worst thing in the world for Hachi to learn that there was strife among aruseus like among any kind of pokemon. ~I don't like that word lollen...I find it derogatory.~
~I know, I'm sorry,~ sent Diamanta.
Alcatraz restarted the conversation with a fresh psychic connection and a fresh vibe. ~So--next summer on the solstice on Atuna Piaru it is.~
Diamanta sent a muted ~yes.~

Lelaka nodded to watch Diamanta said. She could hear the conversation between the two aruseus easily, but she chose not to interfere. The thought of the others...she knew they weren't that bad. But they were so easily influenced by her parents, with good reason. She sighed softly. Maybe she could go back and talk to them.

" So, do you want to stay here for a while?" said Alca out loud. He didn't want to be rude to Hachi or the others.
" Well, it's probably best that I not stay long," said Diamanta. " I have to get back to your father, and all that. And it's best that two aruseus not be here at once, it'll attrat even more attention."
Alcatraz nuzzled his mother. " As you wish."

Lelaka nodded. Two aruseus would be an extreme commotion. SHe was surprised the bulbasaur garden wasn't more interested. They seemed pretty uninterested in two adult aruseus's pressense. Oh well. That was probably a good thing, really.

" Farewell," said Diamanta, giving her son a last nuzzle up against his neck, below his head but to the side of it. Alcatraz returned the affection.
" Farewell, I'll be visiting soon." Alcatraz watched as his mother departed off into the beginning dimension, becoming encased in golden light before vanishing.

" Back to the alcove," said Alcatraz. " For now I want to return to my work. Unless you'd like some help regarding the issue of your parents?" If she did, he would be more than glad to zip off to who knew where, wherever they would need to go.

" I like it here," said Cirenze, who had been playing with the bulbasaurs. She trotted over to Alca and Lelaka. " Can we come back some time?"
" Certainly," said Alcatraz. " I'd like to come see them again too soon." Soon, of course, could mean the next century. " Florifica--I wish you and your garden well."
" Arus...well, the Pokegods bless you," said Florifica. " Thank you for everything, and take care."

"Hope things stay good," said Lelaka. She looked at Alca. "Walk or teleport?" She didn't care, really. It was up to him.
Jarreth yawned. Being here had made him extremely hungry and he was glad to be going now. The growlithe/eevee yawned and stretched. "Whatever, lets just go." He knew the question hadn't been directed at him but oh well. Coralyn and Sassano came over as well, ready to go.

" Let's walk," said Alcatraz. Walking relaxed him, and helped him think better. He also wanted to savour the chance to travel, which he wouldn't be able to do much with these pups to care for. He left the garden of Florifica behind and started the long walk back towards his alcove.

"Ok," said Lelaka, levitating along next tp Alcatraz. She let her thoughts drift. Like a bunch of nails and a magnet, they zoomed straight to Arua. Was it worth going back to make peace with her family? Or should she head back to the clan of pixies near diagia and palkia's lair. They had been kind to her. So should she just stick with them? Or stay here with Alca and the kits?

ooc: im thinking of a legendaries-only board too, like a land of the gods. tell me what you think. dialga's and palkia's lairs could be there too.
ic: Alcatraz continued his long and elegant stride towards his little home in the rainforest. Really, he thought, it was pretty pathetic a place for one of his kind to make a home in. He hoped to change that, but what really could he do?
The trail that led back towards the alcove came into sight and he stepped onto it. The vines and branches still caught on his wheel some of the time.

Hachi hesitated, then decided not to go. He had no idea where they would head, besides that he was a loner. Following his own whim, and own heart. But...Rose? He would find her one day. But for now...the Cyndaquil ran into the deep rainforest, searching for food. Even more secretly, searching for company.

Gree noticed when the god pokemon and his cohorts left, and he was relieved to see them gone. Having an aruseus -and his mother- around was a little unnerving, even though they were very nice. Gree went off in search for some berries, too.
