Ahh, the first post *sniffs* so crisp, so refreshing!, So clean, clean. I devote this first OOC post to making fun of Master Chief. Who is not a member yet but will be soon.

*Hits Master Chief with a pie*

*Grabs Steve before he can escape. Wipes pie off face.* >=( *Smacks Steve in the face with a pie.*
There... thats better. *Throws Steve aside and cracks my knuckles.* Heh....

*Springs off back and onto feet* "Oh yeah?" *Smacks Master Chief with sour cream pie*

Heh heh, If there is a fun board you can be assured that Master Chief and I will be there. By the way, don't you think my avatar matches you site very well?

*Wipes the sour cream pie off.* >=( *Pushes a big red button on his belt, a large cannon rises through the floor.* Heh.... deal with this! *Hops in, shields activate, and targets get locked.* Heh.... *Cannon unloads a series of differnt pies aimed at Steve.*

A giant cannon... Yikes..*walks in the opposite direction of the cannon*

And suddenly all goes quiet......*crickets* So yeah.... I'm bored and tired.. how longs this site been around for thus far?

REALLY?! Wow.. And this site's looking pretty good.. For 2 and a half days I mean.. Wow.. You must have been busy working on this place.. Whew. But it's nice. I really like the set up. I'm really anticipating starting my first pokemon and joining a herd or pack.. Should be pretty fun.

Oh and I figured I'd post this here.. I need to get off for like an hour max.. Have to eat then shower.. But i'll be back eventually..(I'll still be logged in though. ) So yeah.. Oh and you guys should really get a hold of a C-box.. Eventually of course..Whenever your time permits.

I'm still getting hold of how to even run this place. Eventually a C-box will be in the works. That's after I figure out how to put other people's buttons up. I just got the news table up on the front page late last night, took me forever to figure that one out. And just figured out how to change the scrollbars to match. That's ever so important. ^_^

hehe It's ALWAYS good to have a matching site. Hopefully this place gets up and going pretty soon.. I am looking forward to starting this and what not.. As for the C-box thing, all in good time. Just get whatever you need to or want to get done first. No need to rush. This site is coming along beautifly so far.

thanks so much! If you run your own RPG too we could affiliate. As for matching colours, I'm very picky about colours. Green's my favourite as you probably guessed. As for getting up and running, me and my friend {who's also my assistant moderator here} have already begun actively RPing here, so you're welcome to join. We also talk a lot about plots we're starting up in the game. I don't believe in waiting till there's a certain amount of members before plots begin, I believe in starting them right away.

YEAH! Well I do think I'll like it here a lot. woot. And my favorite color is light blue, or Cyan..
And sadly I don't run my own Rpg site.. I'd love to.. but I doubt I have the time NOR the skill for it.. About all I can really do is think up storylines. lol. I'm a mod in one site only because I was a founding member in it and because of my spriting skills(which aren't that great), and my storyline creativity. :/
Maybe one day when I get better with this stuff I'll make my own RPG site..

If you have storyline creativity, there's plenty of room for it here. You don't need to be a mod here to run your own plots! Basically all you need to do is, if the plot is a really huge one, mention the plot idea on one of the OOC boards, Character Submissions is probably the best place to do it {I should turn that board into Character/Plot Submissions! I think I will}. If your idea involves legendary pokemon it needs to be approved, but that's about it!

I won't be promoting new moderators here unless I really need the extra help. Any member who sticks with the game and posts a lot to it will have plenty of freedom to RP!

I didn't mean it to sound like I was trying to get promoted. Trust me. I'm happier as just a regular person here.. I am no good at modding.. Only things I bring to the table is being on pretty much 60% of the day.. 80-90% on the weekends..Sprite creation/sprite editing..and storyline skills.. Though at the moment I'm flat out of ideas..(Most of mine involved trainers so of course they're all being thrown out. hehe)

Oh, you didn't sound like you were trying to be promoted. I'm just saying that so anyone who comes in doesn't feel let down later on when I don't make any new mods. I know a lot of pokemon RPGs promote a lot of players to staff positions. I like the "he who governs less governs best" approach myself.

I'm debating whether to display affiliate buttons in a marquee-style sliding box or putting them in a static position. What do you think? I like how the sliding ones take up less room, but the static ones are easier to click on.

Maybe do it marquee style but where it stops when you hover the mouse over it? I've seen those a couple times before.. Should be good for what you need.
As for the promotions thing.. My point of view on it is, if it isn't broken, don't hire people to fix it. I mean for the moment your site is good, but if it were to ever get to like, 50 members and 2 mods.. You MAY need to upgrade and hire like 2 or 3 more mods.. Just to take the load off you two.

Yeah. But 50 members--wow! I'm not expecting this place to get THAT big! Of course, one never knows. If it did get that big I'd probably hire another mod or two.

hehe yeah 50 members takes a while.. I'd say if you got to a steady rate, it'd take you like 2 months to go from 10-50 ish..

Now if I'd known there was some life besides Wynn and me, I would have made a point to sneak on in computer lit.....oh well. That's me, the late person who eats mankind for breakfast! (lol kidding I'm a veggitarian so no mankind for me!)

Generally, when I begin to feel overwhelmed and like the site is beginning to escape me, that's the time I hire new mods. Mods' main jobs will be keeping the peace and keeping people's threads from dying.

Hehe that's what mods are for.. Keeping peace and making sure things stay alive.

When I get the time, after I set the affiliates all up, one of the first things I'll have to do is create a new logo banner. I like how my button looks, but I rushed a bit with the front pic and it shows.

aw thanks for the encouragement. Tonight's job is like I said getting the affiliates set up. I think I'll go with a scrolling marquee that stops if you put your mouse on it. I've seen some that don't stop and you have to chase the link you want and if you miss you have to wait forever till it comes back around.
