Age
Pre-teen
[Human Comparison = 13 years]
Gender
Male
Description
Gibby is small, like any pichu. An oversized pichu would just be strange. Despite his 'funsizedness', he has rather abnormally large ears that tend to make balancing difficult for him when he stands in place for too long. Thus, he manages to fit into his body by always being on the move. His tiny paws send him off at surprisingly fast speeds, though he is a mouse pokemon so what can you expect.
His amber eyes are quite bright and he has a toothy smile, but otherwise Gibby isn't too different from your average little pichu. Aside from the fact that he speaks in hyper-volume.
Personality
Despite his size, Gibby has a bit of an explosive temper. Unfortunately, being a pichu, he can't yet quite control these outbursts and his 'little' tantrums often result in not only those around him, but also Gibby himself being victimized to his wildly unpredictable bolts. Perhaps it's because he can't do much physically that he has to fight with his words. It doesn't help that he wasn't raised with the most polite of pokemon, and it's easy to tell where he gets his badmouth and mannerisms from.
Nonetheless, he's actually quite emotional and is a bit of an eccentric. Gibby is never one to say no to adventure and can be quite easily manipulated due to how gullible he is. Most of the time he throws his fits after realizing he's been tricked into doing something he never would've done if he'd been smart enough to figure out he was being used in the first place.
History
Gibby's egg was abandoned some point before he hatched. What happened to his parents is unknown, but their fate is rather irrelevant to him because they never had much influence on him aside from conceiving him. His egg was found in a storm-beaten nest in skarmory territory, so it can only be assumed what happened to his foolish parents. If the egg didn't die from the cold first, he wouldn't have lasted long after hatching if his egg hadn't been found by a sneazel named Kwargy.
The dark-ice pokemon originally intended to eat Gibby's egg, but as it was carrying it home to its own nest in the woods, another sneazel came along and the two started fighting over the egg. In the midst of their battle, the egg hatched and little Gibby came rolling out with big eyes and an empty stomach. Naturally, when the sneazels realized their dinner had just become inedible, they blamed each other and continued their fighting, so Gibby, awed by the world around him, stumbled off on his own into the dark trees.
He followed his nose to a berry bush and was happily munching away at the bright fruits until he saw something puffy and white with blue stripes that looked delicious. He bit it and was immediately sent toppling to the ground by a ferocious Discharge that singed his fur. Unfortunately for baby Gibby, he'd bitten the tail of a pachirisu called Scotch who'd been napping in said berry bush. When the pokemon poked its head out and realized it'd attacked a newborn, it panicked and rushed Gibby to its nest where it treated him with oran berries. Scotch took care of Gibby until he was well again, but when he tried sending Gibby off, the little pichu kept wandering back to the berry bush where Scotch and his forest buddies fed. Eventually, Scotch and his friends, upon concluding that Gibby must be an orphan, decided to take care of him until someone else came along to take him off their paws.
Scotch and his friends (there were 3 others; Smitty the eevee and his brother Luster, and Soote the growlithe) were all males, and quite rowdy at that. The environment Gibby grew up in was, to put it bluntly, crude. He was surrounded with pointless cursing and rough-housing, but he was showered with a fatherly affection that each of his guardians possessed somewhere inside their thick skulls (emotions lie within the brain after all). He had a fun babypokemonhood and has never regretted being raised by pokemon different from his own type. There was never a boring moment he experienced and he was never lonely in the least. He only looks back nowadays with the strong desire to return to his adoptive family and show them how strong(?) he's gotten.
Scotch was never one for coming up with names, so he let Smitty and Luster decide. The two weren't very good either but Smitty loved feeling important, so he decided to name the pichu after his best friend, a gible, who lived off in the mountains. The pichu became known as 'Gibby' from that point on.
When Gibby was at the half-way grown age of 10 in human years, the twins Smitty and Luster had to go away because of family problems. They were running from something, but Soote sneakily covered it up by telling Gibby that Smitty was actually trying to elope with a vulpix that Luster absolutely despised, and Gibby has believed this ever since.
Smitty and Luster never came back, but Gibby got over it in a few months because Soote and Scotch knew how to have fun. After the eevee brothers left the woods, Soote and Scotch decided to take Gibby on an adventure. They traveled to a distant forest with the most delicious berries Gibby had ever tasted. He was so delighted that he wanted to stay, but Scotch had been raised in the Rain Forest and had always had issues with leaving it for too long. The trio went back to their forest, Gibby reluctantly saying farewell to Berrytree Groves.
Gibby stayed in the Rain Forest until he was at an age that we would call 13. At that point, he was tired of living in the same place and sought adventure like his 'Uncle Smitty and Uncle Luster' (at some point in time Gibby had started calling Scotch 'Dad' because the pachirisu hated it, and afterwards the eevee brothers insisted they be his uncles, though Soote never put in any mention on the subject). Soote, a rather dramatic comedian, moped publicly for days after Gibby announced he was going off to see the world. In turn, Scotch tried to be the voice of reason and remain as impassive as possible even as they waved Gibby off on his adventures. Truly though, the pachirisu would miss his little electric buddy.
Gibby knew just where he was going when he started his journey. He planned to visit Berrytree Groves first and eat until he was as fat as a snorlax. After that, he hoped to visit some place with pichus like him. However, no matter where he hopes his journey takes him, he knows exactly where he will be finishing up, and its residents happen to include a growlithe and pachirisu.
