Sora looked around. She was anxious to start her adventure. She had just started her adventures out in the vast world. She walked around in the forest. After a while, she grew hungry and picked a place for a small lunch.

Lythe watched Sora from her tree for a long time before deciding to say something. Okay, it was really only about a minute, but she was getting old and her patience ran out long ago. "Hey kid," she snapped, her voice old and throaty. "What's an Ice-type thing like you doing way down here in this good ol' Jungle huh? Thought you wouldn't like to leave your old snowy mountains." With that last comment she burst out in a fit of coughing and cackling laughter.

Sora looked up at Lythe. "I'm going out for adventure. Don't judge me just by how I look, you know." ,she replied. Sora continued to munch on her lunch. "If you want some food, I'm willing to give you some, though. I'm not a cold-hearted fellow." ,Sora spoke.

"Heehee," the Scyther wheezed out a cough. She started to clean the small amount of blood off of her blades. "I can fend for myself very well in this here Jungle, young 'un. Already caught two Rattata's today. Yep, this Jungle is my natural home." Lythe seemed to drift off before remembering the young Sora sitting and eating. "But what areyou adventuring for my dear?"

"I'm going to become the greatest Pokemon fighter in the world. And, I won't have a trainer!" ,Sora said, ambitiously. She finished her lunch and looked at Lythe again. "Would you like to adventure with me?" ,Sora asked. She was being polite, but, didn't mind at all if another Pokemon trailed along.

"Oh young 'un I haven't seen any of the world outside of this jungle. Except when my family brought me here way back in the day. You see, the world isn't easy for a bug. It's actually quite dangerous. So I can walk you to the edges of the jungle, to make sure you won't get hurt, but not any further than that."
Ooc: Most Pokemon don't understand the concepts of trainers unless in their background history. SInce in her history Sora was raised in Erymire it would be hard to believe that she knew about trainers.

ooc: oh sorry i didn't know Sora nodded and smiled. "I think that's a good idea. Let's get started!", she said. Sora stood up and packed up. Then, she started to walk.

"Oh you young ones are so impacient. Always gotta be moving or doing something. Oh well, I guess we can walk." Lythe sat up from her rest, bones creaking nd popping with every movement. She spread her wings, the skin holding them together was old and tattered. She took flight and landed next to the young Sneasel, though her flight was labored and the was injury in ever correction.

"Umm, have you live very long?" , Sora asked. She cocked her head to one side. She was a little afraid that Lythe might get hurt from walking a long distance. Sora waited for Lythe.

"Yes maam, I've been alive for more years than most in this here jungle. I know every pathway and shortcut, every rodent hole and pond, yep I'm the survivor here." With that last comment she burst out into another fit of laughter. "Longer than all those other Scythers heeeheee."

"Well, that's good.", Sora said. "Are you sure you'll be fine?", Sora asked, worriedly. The little Sneasel was very worried about Lythe. Sora started to walk slowly.

Lythe looked down on the Sneasel and said, " Oh, lass, I'll be fine. I'm always walking around. One little trip can't hurt me." With that, the tall mantis-like Pokemon began to walk next to the Sneasel.

The Sneasel sighed with relief and started to enjoy the surroundings. There was clean air, a nice scenery, and a beautiful sky. Sora was having fun walking around. There were other Pokemon watching as Lythe and Sora were walking.

Lythe was more wary than the young creature, she knew the dangers of the jungle and knew that drawing a crowd was generally a bad idea. "Keep to the road young-one." Lythe knew most jungle residents would not mess with the duo's claws, although she had seen Scythers and Pokemon stronger than the Sneasel gobbled up by the hostiles.

"Ok..", Sora replied. She looked at the other Pokemon and flexed her claws. Sora kept walking. Then, she saw that there was a fork in the path. "Which way do we go, Lythe?", Sora asked.

Lythe looked down both paths and took a large sniff towards each. In her younger years that would have told her which way to do based on the smell of water and less danger. However the old Scyther was now too old to have the same nose she did. "It's your choice young one. But choose wisely, this could be the last choice you ever make."

"I sense.... that this way is the right way!" , Sora said. She pointed to the right. It seemed a good choice. Before Lythe said anything, Sora began charging into the path. The Sneasel energetically ran through and waited for Lythe at a willow tree near the entrance of the path. "Please hurry up! I can't wait to see what lies on the other side!" , she shouted, excitedly.

[Hope I'm not intruding] [teal]Gibby [/size][/font][/teal] He couldn't have left home any less than 2 days ago, and yet the smells in the area had not changed. It was impossible for him to be walking in circles! Soote had advised he take the forest path and follow every right turn! Naturally, Gibby lacked the common sense to realize the deception that lay within those directions. Still, he was beginning to grow suspicious. That tree did look very familiar. On second thought, it looked a lot like the tree over there. And that one there. And the one to his left...
Arrrrg! Just great! At this rate I'll be a shriveled up Raichu by the time I reach the berry paradise! If I ever reach it, that is... Tiny sparks released hazy static from the pichu's cheeks, but he kept on marching despite not knowing where he was going. So what if it took him a week or even a month to get out of the Rainforest? It wasn't like he wouldn't have plenty of food and shelter on the way. And if anyone tried messing with him, he would give them a thunderbolt to remember! As soon as he learned how, that is.
The thought of there being other pokemon in the woods caused him to stop walking for a moment, his large ears twitching as he crouched down, nose sniffing the air tentatively. But all he could make out was the metallic stench in the air from the remaining damp of that morning's rainfall. He chided himself for acting paranoid. Everybody knows not to mess with an electric type. Especially one as tough as me! This thought brought a rambunctious grin on Gibby's face, and he let out a loud "HA!" of self-satisfaction before promptly puffing out his fur in alarm at the sight of sharp claws glinting further down the path, illuminated by the flakes of sunlight that dripped through the leafy overhang.
"W-w-w-w-whoa!" He stammered, looking left and right before diving unceremoniously into a bush of strange smelling leaves. Then again, he was in a rainforest. What didn't smell strange?
The yellow pokemon scurried around and turned to peek through the leaves at the path he'd diverged from. He angled his vision and saw something dark charging up the path at record speed. Instantly his heart-rate increased, the adrenaline and fear causing the pouches on his cheeks to flicker with stored energy. He couldn't tell what the pokemon was, but he knew by the giant claws he'd seen earlier that it wasn't something he wanted to mess with. At least, not until he knew just what it could do to him. He gulped and amber eyes widened when the pokemon stopped not several feet away from him, her form blocked from his view by a rather poorly placed willow tree.
Cursssse! Maybe I can recognized the scent. He sniffed again, this time more carefully, and surprised himself when he actually found that the pokemon's smell was vaguely familiar. A dark silhouette formed in his mind as memories dragged up from the back of his head. Three tails, sharp eyes, claws that could grow when in a hostile situation- every clue screamed Sneazel, but the pichu, unintellectual as he was, knew a pokemon like that had no part in the rainforest. He wouldn't be satisfied until he'd seen so himself.
Quietly (or so he thought), the pichu skittered backwards and crept up the back of the willow tree, careful to keep the trunk in between himself and the pokemon on the other side. He reached a low branch, hopping from one to the other until he'd gone in a semi-circled around the trunk before stopping just above the sneazel. Of course, he made sure he was out of reach.
He looked down, and sure enough, it was a sneazel. "Hey you! What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be eating snow cones or stealing frozen eggs?" There was a bit of a sneer in his voice, but it barely overshadowed the curiosity that lingered. What was a sneazel doing here?
Just then, another smell struck him, this one totally different. He looked up and away from the sneazel and saw something green further down the path. Despite being far away, it still looked fairly larger than himself and, if possible, had even bigger claws than the pokemon below him. His eyes grew unbelievably more. Couldn't scyther fly? Suddenly, Gibby didn't feel like the tree was as safe as it used to seem.

Lythe jumped at the sound of the small Pokemon's voice and felt her blood pumping faster than usual. Naturally, living in the jungle for multiple years, she was afraid of anything that did not make themselves aware as safe. She also knew excactly how to find the location of any sound. With her large mind and skilled abilities she quickly traced the voice through the vegetation until she was sure that their attacker was in the tree above Sora. "Duck, young one!" Lythe's voice rasped out as she took to her wings quicker than she had ever done before, obviously in a state of panic. If only her mate was with them, but no....she refused to think about that. Lythe knocked the Sneasel to the ground before turning sharply toward the tree. She leveled out on the top of the tree and then pounced upon the shadow she saw crouched there. Moving quickly, Lythe threaded her way through the branches and landed with her feet on the shadow, rolling it over in one quick motion so that their eyes were locked on each other. Lythe raised her blade far above her head then said in a low threatening voice, "I wouldn't move if i were you unless you feel like being headless. Who are you and what are your attentions?"

"You might wanna listen to the sycther." Sora replied. "Stealing eggs? How rude! I'll have you know, that Sneasels are a very kind and friendly species! We don't steal a thing!" Sora said sharply. "Every time, seriously! I would come out to a different place, and others would always accuse me of stealing eggs or something!" Sora was a little annoyed but knew that since the voice sounded very tiny, she figured that the pokemon was harmless. "Lythe, I'm sure that the Pokemon isn't going to hurt us." she said. "I know a lot about Pokemon, so, what does the intruder look like, Lythe? If I can determine the Pokemon, I would know whether it is harmless or not."

[Ahhh! Sorry for the late reply Dx] The pichu had just been contemplating the best way to hightail it out of there when suddenly the scyther came charging towards him and before he knew what was happening he was being knocked over with what could've very well been a hippowdon using rollout. The breath left him and for a brief second his stomach somersaulted at the prospect of falling off the branch with no idea which direction was up. He held what was left of his oxygen and squeezed his eyes shut, waiting for the world to end.
Several seconds passed, and Gibby thought he heard someone talking, but his heart was pounding so fast that when he opened his eyes he found himself staring up at a monsterous bug pokemon. It didn't look all too intimidating; Gibby could see that it was old. But with its giant scythe poised overhead and seconds from striking, he realized he wasn't really in the mood to find out how much damage those swords could do. His eyes widened and he flailed about in a panic, static electricity darting about his body.
"GAAAAAAAHHHHH! DON'T KILL ME I WAS JUST JOKING WHAT DO YOU THINK I REALLY LOOK LIKE I CAN DO ANY DAMAGE OH NOOOOO LET ME UP HELP!!!!!!!" There was no pause in his words nor any stop to inhale as the howls echoed shamelessly from the pichu's mouth, his eyes closing at some point because the swelling in his lungs was starting to hurt. He was so concentrated on imagining himself anywhere but where he was that he didn't even hear Sora's reasonable words.
"PLEASE JUST...." He cracked open one eye, deciding the best way out of this was to be cunning. "Don't eat me..." Then Gibby made the most adorable face he could manage and, just when he thought the timing was right, he bit down (HARD) on the feet that pinned him.
Almost instantly Gibby felt something in his mouth crack, and that was when he started howling for real. "OH GOD MY TOOTH!!!"

The scyther's eyes widened in surprise, "This little one bit me!" Her arm came down from its striking position as the look of disbelief still covered her face. Her mouth bent down and snatched the Pichu by the back of the neck and Lythe then fluttered her way to the ground near Sora. She opened her mouth and the small Pichu dropped out of it onto the rainforset floor. "Don't worry, I won't eat you," Lythe said, already cleaning her mouth out from the taste. "Electric doesn't go well with my diet."

"You're a funny one.", Sora said to Gibby. She picked up the Pichu. "You're also a cute fellow. Don't worry, I won't hurt you." Sora said when she saw that the Pichu looked scared. She put him down and got a little apple from her bag. "Here. Eat it." she said. The Sneasel put her paw out with the claws sheathed. The apple also was on her paw.

The pichu was busy nursing his sore mouth and didn't realize when suddenly he was being lowered to the ground. He opened his mouth to protest but the movement made his tooth hurt more so he quickly held back whatever it was he wanted to say. Thinking about the best way to get rid of the pain, he remembered something Scotch had told him about focusing the pain somewhere else. He pinched himself in the arm and squeaked. Scotch was a liar! Now his arm and his mouth hurt! Feeling terribly embarrassed and frustrated, he looked up at the two with angry, watery eyes. "Don't know much?! I know more about allegedly assaulting others than you did, clearly!" He rubbed his cheek on the sore side of his mouth, frowning and struggling to suck up the pain and be manly.
"The only funny thing here is your face." He hissed in a (failed) attempt to seem intimidating as he stuck his tongue out rather immaturely at the weasel. "And who're you calling 'cute'? What a disgusting word! Cute, I'll show you cute!" Alas, he couldn't summon up enough energy through his melodramatic pain to electrocute the others or even himself, so he set about to gnawing on his tailtip, switching his untrusting gaze between the two scythe-wielding pokemon untrustingly.
When the scyther moved, he stiffened visibly and narrowed his eyes, every hair on end as he waited timidly to find out what she was doing. What he thought was a slash attack on the way turned out to be a red fruit, round and shiny. "Oh my gosh is that an apple?!" He cried, eyes widening and ears perking with sudden interest as, broken tooth and strangers forgotten, he snatched the fruit greedily and gave it a good hard sniff. "Mmmmmhmmmmm. I love apples! Here's a gift on the way tummy!" He promptly began to devour the apple, making sure after the first painful bite to rip off the juicy chunks with the unharmed side of his mouth. When he'd finished, he wiped the slobber from around his face and onto his arm before leaning backwards contentedly, a rather obvious bulge where his relaxed stomach had once been. "Phew, that was great! You guys aren't so bad, huh. I mean, at least you have good taste. Even if you do look a little strange."
Gibby slurped the rest of the apple off his paws before leaning forward to scrutinize Sora and Lythe. "So.... What are you doing here? Don'tcha know that I'm the ruler of this territory? Got a whole band of giant electric pokemon on my side! The name's Gibby, best remember it when throwing names to folks around these parts."

Lythe laughed her heartiest laugh in hears when she heard the small Pichu going off about how important he was. The laugh quickly turned into a wheeze until Lythe was able to get ahold of herself. "Young one, I happen to know for a fact that no one rules this jungle. And if anyone did rule it, then it certainly wouldn't be one so young as you." Lythe laughed again then turned her attention towards her traveling partner. "Dear, should we continue with your adventure? I know how eager you are to explore."

"hmm, wait Lythe let me ask this little kid something. Hey Gibby. You wanna come with me on my travels?" Sora asked. She was fond of Pichus and decided that if he tagged along it would be okay. "Anyone who a funny Pokemon like you can join on my travels." Sora spoke. She was speaking in a smooth tone and was in a good mood. "I'll give you food so you won't have anything to worry about." she said again to reassure him.

[Wow, this is only like, a year late. Dx Hope you guys are still around.] He was unabashedly expecting looks of awe and words of praise and respect from the two pokemon, so when he was met with Lythe's shameless laughter, his pride was stung.
"Hey! I may be little, but I've lived here my whole life and I know these trees from the leaf canopies down to the very tips of their roots!" This was true, partially. Uncle Smitty had once taken the time off from flirting with other eevee in order to introduce him to a traveling pidgeotto. Another time, he and Soote had guided a lost sandshrew out of the rainforest under the condition that he dig a burrow for them to sleep in. Not surprisingly, Gibby'd learned a lot about their natural habitats in the process, although how much he'd actually bothered to remember was a different matter entirely.
"What's this about an adventure?" He asked, voice rising a note out of interest.
Gibby liked adventure. That was why he'd left home and started his travels. He also liked food. His very destination was the Berrytree Groves. Although he'd told Scotch and Uncle Soote that he would come back home after reaching satisfactory fatness, he had enjoyed the last few days of independence so much that he was wondering whether or not he should extend his route beyond the woods famed for its gluttonous products and then just lie about being delayed by a thunderstorm or something when his caretakers interrogated him. If Sora was an adventurer too, that meant they had something in common.
The little pichu suddenly found the sneazel very important and thus scooted forward. So important in fact, that he didn't even notice her calling him a 'little kid'.
Adventure, food- she even gets my sophisticated humor. When he thought it over, Sora sounded like an extremely beneficial companion. Clearly she liked having him around, and although Gibby adored apples and traveling, the only thing he loved more than that was attention.
"Welllll, I'd have to think about. Being leader of an entire jungle makes me extremely busy you know..." He furrowed his brow and paused thoughtfully, as if reviewing his crowded schedule.
"But I guessss, if you really need me that much..." Trying to hold back the look of excitement spilling over his expression, amber eyes glanced up at the sneazel and he finally gave in with a silly grin.
"Then of course I'll oblige you! Feel free to bask in the honor of being in my presence along the way." The exclamation rang joyfully through the air as the inhibitionless pichu puffed out his chest and crossed his arms meaningfully. He might be young, but Sora could be younger than him and that would make the leader of their group!
A thought crossed his mind, and he stopped his gloating long enough to cast a withering look at the even more withered scyther.
"Is she coming too? Isn't she too old to travel? Even her wings have wrinkles. I saw the lines earlier." Although there was no intent of injury in his words, it was possibly the cruel, blunt honesty with which he spoke that was most offensive.
