Physical: Vata seems to be much smaller than your average Charizard, but much more elongated. Her neck, body and tail are longer and thinner than normal, and her wings are massive in comparison. Her colouration is normal, vibrant orange scales coating most of her body, with a light cream underbelly and under tail. The membrane of her overlarge wings is a deep green-blue, matching her eyes. Her tail is tipped with a bright fire. Three claws tip each paw and foot, her forepaws having two main claws with one semi-opposable claw. Most of her muscle and strength is focused in her wings and shoulders, and in comparison to other Charizards she is quite physically weak in other areas. In combat, her best chance is to attack from the sky, not close-quarters where physical strength is required.

Mental: Vata has the somewhat typical spitfire personality of her kind. She is prideful and quick to anger, with little patience or attention span for anything that she does not greatly care for. While she quickly tires of most pokémon's company, she is fiercely dedicated to training herself and honing her flying skills. She is not necessarily antisocial- it's not that she hates others, she's just argumentative and abrasive, and hasn't managed to settle in any group for very long. She occasionally craves company, but has lived a mostly solitary life. She is not particularly outstanding with her intelligence, neither exceptionally quick-witted nor slow.

History: Vata was born in a small colony in the mountains, within a morning's flight of the volcano. There was only one unusual circumstance of her birth, and that was her wings. While most Charmanders and Charmeleons must wait until becoming a Charizard to grow their wings, she was born with a tiny pair of wings, at that stage useless except for decoration and for garnering the attention of the mothers of the colony. As she grew, and evolved into a Charmeleon, so did the wings, becoming almost as large as the smallest Charizard's wings, and able to be used for gliding and short flights. When she finally reached adulthood and became a Charizard, Her wings grew to easily double the size of any other Charizard. Like the rest of her kind, well known for being competitive, she practiced flying vigorously, outflying the rest of her colony with ease. It was not uncommon for mature Charizard to leave the colony to explore or find other places or pokémon to start families, and after about a year of living with the colony as a Charizard, she too chose to leave. She lived briefly in various areas of the mountains, settled once in the volcano, but lived the longest (and is currently living) in the savannah.
