eyes: Saika's eyes, unlike the usual emerald hue of a Charmander, are of a bright, icy blue colour. In some instances they can look almost cold and stormy, particularly when she's mad or upset, but on most others they seem to hold a certain curious innocence to them much like the eyes of most young children do.
build: While perhaps a bit on the skinny side for a child, Saika still holds the child-like innocence of most her age, and, likewise, the lack of strength and ability to really protect herself. Her build isn't particularly muscular or agile, and she's still occasionally prone to tripping over her own claws, which means she generally relies on other, older Pokemon to really protect her when it comes to fighting. Perhaps she may throw in her own little blow once in a while, but it is rare for it to really do much damage on Pokemon beyond her age group.
colouration: This individual is, quite obviously, neither a normal colour found amongst her species, nor the shiny aspect. While perhaps she could be mistaken for a shiny Charizard when she gets older and evolves, as a Charmander and Charmeleon her colouration stands out from the normal shiny hues. Her scales are a deep ebony colour, the hue of shadows, and are accompanied by a pale, silver-grey underbelly. Her scales generally reflect the light of her bright blue tail flame, giving her the impression of almost glowing blue in areas where such a reflection can really show. Her attacking flame is also of this shade, though her claws and teeth are the colour of pure ivory.

Timid.Generally rather unsure of herself due to her young age, Saika is known for being rather timid around others. This particularly applies to those who happen to be older than her, as they have more experience and, thus, more of a liklihood to look down on her unfavourably. She generally may take a while to really come to trust any one individual, and in some instances may be considered a bit of a coward because of her timidity.
Dependant. When it comes to individuals that Saika does eventually come to trust, she is known for being rather dependant of them. It is almost as if she adopted such individuals as an older relative that will always be there for her to guide and protect her, even if there are absolutely no similarities between them. In some ways, this constant need for their protection and attention can become rather annoying, but it is really the same way any young individual would act.
Curious. As can be expected of all young individuals, Saika has a certain curiousity about the world around her, and she is quite prone to falling victim to her stream of neverending questions. She may also find herself in some spots of trouble when her curiousity manages to overwhelm her naturally timid nature, thus she could be considered a bit of a handful when it comes to any caretakers that she may come to trust.
Quiet. When she is not being overtaken by her curiousity, however, Saika is rather quiet and almost removed at times. She has difficulty really putting her feelings into words, and thus generally tries to hide them deep within herself. These feelings particularly include the fact that she had lost her father and became separated from her mother so early in life, thus was left to try and fend for herself from an extremely young age.

father: Raike [Deceased].
Raike was a Charizard of powerful build and appearance, though perhaps a bit too hot-headed for his own well-being. He was killed in a fight for leadership of the clan Saika and her parents used to reside in.
mother: Silya [Status Unknown].
A slim and graceful Charizard, she was a loyal mate to Raike and a loving mother to Saika. Even after Raike's death, she ensured she would keep going on in order to care for her young daughter. Unfortunately, the pair were separated when they left the clan.
siblings: None known.
The dragoness, Silya, had been fortunate to be even capable of bearing just a mere, single egg. Her fertility was not the best, and no matter how much she and her mate, Raike, wished it, it seemed that she would never be able to bear a child. They began to view it as a hopeless aspect, and had slowly began to come to accept it. They were in love, after all, Raike didn't care that his mate couldn't give him strong sons or lovely daughters as long as his mate was safe and healthy.
However, it was then noticed that Silya seemed to have started gaining weight late into the spring season. It wasn't very much, but it was enough for both the female and Raike to notice and their hopes began to rise once more, particularly when Silya began to feel the slight, yet welcome pains of pregnancy. When she finally laid the single, deep ebony egg during early winter, she couldn't have been happier.
Both Silya and Raike guarded the egg jealously, terrified that they would lose the treasure they had wished to have for so long. Silya never left the egg's side. Her protective body was always close to it, and her tail flame was constantly casting its shell into its warmth despite the cold of the outside regions. This generally left Raike to be the one to fetch his mate food, though he generally didn't care about such an aspect for he wished to see their child hatch and thrive as much as his mate.
The egg finally did hatch towards the end of winter, revealing a healthy female hatchling. However, her colouration... it wasn't something that either Raike or Silya had expected. Her hide was deep ebony, like her egg, with a silvery belly and flames that danced with brilliant blue hues that matched her eyes. Neither of her parents had any such colouration, though Raike had merely supposed that perhaps it had something to do with the Dragonite ancestor that his side of Saika's heritage possessed. Perhaps it was merely a hidden trait, much like the move
Dragon Dance that had been passed through his family for generations.
Even so, difficulties eventually arose between Saika and the other young Charmander in the clan she had attempted to make friends with. They teased and ridiculed her for the simple fact that she was 'different', which resulted in her generally remaining at her mother's side rather than really playing with others her age. Raike grew furious with the idea that his daughter had become excluded for such a reason, though he didn't directly scold the young Pokemon that did so. Rather, he tried other means.
Perhaps he had been a bit rash in his decision, but his cry to challenge the current head of the clan was heard by all. He had hoped that perhaps being the daughter of a leader, Saika would have gained more respect, but he didn't anticipate just how weak he was compared to the current, aged leader. The leader had much more experience than Raike and, despite Raike's efforts and the characteristic Dragon Dance technique that most of the clan knew him for, he was killed in the battle: knocked from the sky by the leader.
Silya became distraught, but she refused to show it in front of her daughter. Eventually, she decided to leave the clan and the painful memories it now held, deciding to find another where Saika could perhaps mature in happiness. However, during their travels in search for another clan, a fierce storm forced the pair into separation.
Saika hasn't seen her mother since, though she's positive the dragoness is alive, searching, waiting for the day when she will find her daughter again.[/blockquote]
[Note: I just noticed that there was another Charmander with the exact same colouration. I assure you I did not steal her design, she has been a character of mine for years. To prove it, here is a thread with her from when I first joined:
Link. Her colouration is described right in the first post, so yeah D= The only thing is her eyes have changed from emerald to the same colour as her flame around the middle of last year, to better accent my favour in colours. Actually, a lot of my Pokemon characters are either black and sky blue or white and skyblue xD][/size]
