Shilumo sat on the cold, damp stone floor of the dungeon, shivering from cold and fear of the surrounding guards. It was early morning, and the small Riolu's stomach was beginning to growl hungrily.
A loud creak followed by the sound of footsteps told him that someone had entered the dungeon. Shilumo stiffened in pure terror as he caught sight of the newcomer. It was a Weavile. It turned to Shilumo, and sneared. Then it spoke, saying:
"Hello Lumo. You looked a little bored, so I came here to cheer you up."
Before the Riolu could reply, he opened the cage door and entered, his eyes glowing evilly. Shilumo shrank away to the back corner of his cage as the Weavile advanced on him. Reaching out quickly, the Horde pokemon grabbed Shilumo by the foot, and carried him out of the dungeon and into the main corridor.
The puny Riolu blinked several times in the increased light, but it was still dark in the corridors of the Fortress. The guard continued to walk, and soon reached another door. He opened it, and bright sunlight washed in from outside. Shilumo was temporarily blinded by it, but even though he couldn't see, he could tell where he was by what he heard.
Everywhere there was the sound of blasts of water and of fire. There was the sound of wind, and of punches landing on their victims. It was the training yard for the Horde.
The Weavile tied Shilumo's hands to a stake, then walked several paces away from him. When he was around 30 feet away, he turned to Shilumo again, and released a powerful Dark Pulse towards him. All the poor Riolu could do was wait helplessly for the attack to reach him.
It didn't take long before the dark wave reached him. When it did, Shilumo's bones screamed under the pressure, and a few of them snapped, causing him to cry out in pain. The Weavile laughed, and threw several shards of ice at him. The shards cut deep into Shilumo's skin, but he didn't cry out again.
He was attacked several more times, then the Weavile seemed to loose interest, and walked over to a dark Hitmonchan that had just entered the training yard. After a few exchanged words that the barely-conscious Riolu couldn't make out, the new pokemon walked over to stand in front of Shilumo.
With the same evil look in his eye, the Hitmonchan began throwing punches to Shilumo's stomach. The Riolu writhed weakly under the pokemon's unforgiving fists. After quite a few punches to the stomach, the Hitmonchan began to throw blows to the chest. Blood began to trickle out of Shilumo's mouth, and the sound of cracking told him that several of his ribs had been broken.
The Horde pokemon sent one powerful punch to the face, then backed up, having trained enough for the day. Shilumo had stopped moving now, and was hanging, unconscious, with a pool of blood slowly forming beneath him.
The Weavile, who had been watching the whole time, untied the Riolu and carried it back into the Fortress. He walked down into the dungeon, and roughly threw Shilumo back into his cage, then walked out.
